I believe US passport holders do not need a visa to visit Canada. All the best with your own application.

You do not need to apply for your daughter, so long as she has her vaild US passport.

Since you were denied, it will be better to not include your daughter in your travel plans to Canada. In the application forms it will ask you to indicate your daughters nationality (American) and it will also ask who you will be travelling with. Do not tick that you will be travelling with your daughter that way you can show proof of home ties and also show that you just want to visit and go back to nigeria to your family.

If you get approved, I also recommend going alone for a visit then next time you can go with your daughter, that way it proves you were honest in your application.

This is a good compilation for a visitors visa. Though not compulsory, I would suggest the following

- 6 month personal bank statements (I know you mentioned bank statements but you did not give details)
- 6 month corporate bank statements. Hope your corp account is buoyant...
- reference letter from bank addressed to the Canada Deputy High Commission
- photocopies of previous visas. This highlights travel history
- for your letter of intro, ensure it is clear and concise. Highlight your ties to Nigeria! And clarify the purpose of your trip.
- Re-review all your forms to ensure completeness and correctness

Good luck with your app. Hopefully your visa is approved. Make sure you come back and do not breach the terms of your visa.

pls is dis information still valid as a process to follow?

So sorry for the delay. My take is that you would also have to apply for a visa for the baby. According to the IRCc website, "Children under the age of 18 are considered minors in Canada. They must follow the same rules to enter Canada as any other visitor."

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/minors.asp

awelekiti:
Good evening. With your previous explanation, I guess you're still awaiting the outcome of your online application by faith and you put to bed along the wait line wink. Gongrats! Your baby will also need visa o. You may go the paper route to make the process faster. However, you will need to explain the situation in a letter to the VO and still include all the documents with which you applied for your visa, including your previous and current visa pages in your baby's application. I wouldn't know what your mission in canada was, in the first place. If it was for birthing purpose, it's fine otherwise, you'd have to convince the VO beyond doubts, that your intention wasn't to go and give birth(against your purpose of visit as indicated on your application form) because it would be assumed that you knew your EDD and so, must have been advised not to travel by your Dr...except the Dr says otherwise. Please think about this before you apply for your baby's visa. I had a cousin who wanted to visit the UK in 2003 with his wife. The same was experienced by his wife. Though their main purpose of visit was to give birth in the UK before returning. Since they both had 2 years multiple visa, they had to suspend their proposed trip till the next annual leave. You may also wish to defer your travel, if your visa's validity is up to one year to be on a safe side. Cheers

I really don't have an iota of idea how to go by this.

Thanks peeps! I really do appreciate these. Fingers crossed still

If your daughter will travel with her US Passport then she doesn't need a visa to enter Canada for visit.
You apply alone but try to clear the reason you were refused previously.

You are very correct the economic situation of Nigeria is the cause. I was also denied a study visa reason was work situation which is economic meanwhile the same people issued me 8 months visitors visa when I just requested for 2 weeks in 2013 then I was single didn't even have property. But now I am married had my baby in USA and even have investment both here and the USA. I believe it's was not my lucky day then.
awelekiti:
Apologies for delayed response. Everybody has been quite bizi I guess. This is the end of the year and so, deliveries tied to a deadline need to be concluded before year-end hence, the delay in people's response to your case. Now, concerning your ties in canada...did you submit any invite and what's the status of the person inviting you...does he/she have enough funds to host you and did you submit proofs alongside your application? If your intended travel was on tourism, you don't need any invite but you must state clearly in your itinerary, places and events of interest you wanted to attend. Hope you did all these. If you've not exceeded your stay while in the UK and US and you've got a good job, you might just have to relax, for now and reapply a few months later because the current economic situation of our country isn't funny at all. Applicants, who have not abused visa privileges in their entire lives and haven't been refused visas in the past just like you, were refused Canada visa in recent times. I remember that banker with his family who submitted quite impressive documents alongside their applications with valid US visa on their passports. They were still refused eventually. In the past, case-specific applications wouldn't have issues. Even if the event an applicant was going to attend had passed, he/she would still get a Canada visa, if the VO is satisfied with the visa application but in recent times, a case-specific application was refused. It's not funny. I read it here that the reason for refusal was that, the event he was going for, had passed. I had applied to attend a training in the past and a decision was made a few days after the end of the training. I still got my visa and the training was rescheduled by our manufacturer due to this... I got 4 years multiple. A lot of applicants here who wanted to go for tourism, conferences and annual leave were issued visas after their intended missions had passed. All these happened this year. If you earn 2m monthly, as a family person, it's just 3,225USD and might not be considered to be enough for a family visa application because you're expected to have responsibilities and bills to settle out of the salary, on a monthly basis. Try and work on your finances and leave enough balances in your account before you reapply. While the US VO might consider your travel history in approving your visa application without dwelling much on your asset and finances in most cases, Canada will go beyond that. Your ties, personal assets and finance and travel history are considered as key factors by CIC in the course of their decisions in most cases . In my opinion, don't sound desperate by reapplying immediately. Try and give them some time. I've not tried applying for canada visa from USA but some said it had worked for them. You and spouse may reapply here in Nigeria since you work here. It's nothing to worry about. That you were refused now doesn't mean you won't be granted a visa when next you reapply. Just be honest with your documents, work on some weak areas and leave the rest in the hands of God. Cheers.

It means your Passport is still at the embassy. You can only get records of it on Vfs when it has returned to them.
Remember the Canadian visa process is as slow as a snail.

I just saw the same status on my application ie 'no records found' please has yours been sorted ?and what does this mean. This is really scary.

Just run your show as if she doesn't exist.
Apply as a tourist then do your waka.
I don't have any Friend or relative there but was given a TRV
You too can get it.
Fortissimo502:
Hi everyone. I hail o. Make i join una for here. Will be submitting my TRV app soon for tourism and to visit my fiancée in Canada.

But I've been seeing online that getting TRV to visit fiance/fiancee/spouse is quite difficult because the VOs may feel that I won't leave Canada at the end of my visit. Nawa ooo.

I have other friends in Canada that can send me an IV letter and I can even just apply strictly for tourism, but I feel it may appear deceitful not to mention that I have a fiancée in Canada. I'm going to end up still visiting her anyways!

So, I don't want to get denied, but at the same time I don't want to inadvertently do anything that might jeopardize the spousal PR application in the future.

Any thoughts? It's well oooo.

You just apply for the child it will be issued ASAP
DebsMed:
Good morning all! A quick one here please. Preparing myself for a situation. The gurus in the house should kindly guide as I really didn't find the kind of situation in the thread while going through (unless I'm mistaken).

A situation where one goes the online route and is approved God willing for instance, and is asked by His grace to forward his/her passport to the embassy, and the individual now has got a child between time of application and now, what will be the way to getting a visa for the baby back of the parent approved visa? Thanks in anticipation!

I'm a novice but insufficient funds looks like a straightforward thing to resolve. Just prepare another set of financials this time showing as much funds as you can, then reapply. Doesn't sound like something worth appealing.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by successuche2017: 2:27pm On Dec 29, 2016
thanks for your prompt suggestion...am looking forward to reapplying sometime in january 2017 hope it doesnt look desperate as i was denied 14/12/2016.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by chibertha(f): 4:06pm On Dec 29, 2016
To the best of my knowledge there is no room for appeal ie after going through the whole cic site except it was added last month.
Take some time off and reapply making sure you meet all that was pointed out in your last.

Are you kidding me? That is CAD 2,799.04, if you want to apply for Canadian visa then this is the website you need http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/tourist.asp

Requirements: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-who.asp

If you are going with the hope of converting the visiting visa to resident permit then please keep your job in Nigeria because its going to be almost impossible.

pls is dis info still valid?

Canadian visiting visa fee is just 100 Canadian dollar which is about 23,000 naira and you want to pay an agent 400,000K just to fill a form for you?

Are you so lazy that you can't fill a form and attach your documents to submit either online or offline?

What do you think an agent will do that you can't do?

You can't convert visiting visa to PR
