Having gone through all the pages of this thread, I observed that this flat earth is just a postulation with no proof yet. Since I'm without the tools and I'm not ready to research on its validity, I therefore stick with globe theory. This is because with it, future predictions on eclipse has been correct, space shuttle atmospheric escape point is calculated correctly (trajectory), warm/cold ocean current effect on adjourning landmass climate predicted. Yes indeed, the facts against flat earth is massive: A flight along a straight line on a flat earth will not take you back to your starting. The bigger a sphere is the more flat it will appear at the point of reference. I won't be supprise if tomorrow our friend discovers the foundations of the earth through his telescope! 6 Likes 1 Share |

Billyonaire:have u ever considered that we would fall off once we get to the edge or circumference of ur proposed half water melon. Let's assume all land we live on is around the center /nucleus of your model and water bodies surrounding... If the earth is flat surfaced ships would fall off once they get to the edge but if it is spherical as correctly proven... It'll move continually and make revolutions sef. When a Ship leaves the port u notice that the sheep reduces in size till only the hull can be seen but if the earth was flat u would instead see the ship reduce in size till only the null can be seen. Peace yo 1 Like |

billyonaire claims that if the earth were round, waters in the ocean would fall off and the people 'under' the ball would fall as well. where? what would be pulling them? 3 Likes 1 Share |

The is this weirdest idea I've ever heard of regarding the earth. If the earth was shaped like the cut water-melon you talked about, and everyone on earth live on the flat end, how would you explain the concepts of day and night? Shouldn't everyone see the sun 24 hours a day? Unless you're assuming the sun is much smaller than the moon and revolves around the different cities on the flat part of the earth you said everyone lives. You said skyscrapers would have fallen if the earth was round. Again, that's false. You're just assuming the earth is just one tiny entity, like one big watermelon somewhere and everyone lives on it. Aerial photographs are there for you to review, and gravitational forces are what keep any matter with mass back on earth - including waters, buildings and every other type of matter. If you've seen astronauts float in their spaceships after leaving earth, then we shouldn't be talking about this because that does prove gravity plays a role on how things stay this way. 1 Like |

joshysmartie: You are one of the future failures that the cyberspace has created. You are already on that lane of self-destruct. But I have a word for you. Go back to your parents and learn how to talk to people you don't know. A boy you are and a boy you will always be without manner. Till you attain the maturity that comes with age and parentage. I hope to hear from you soon. |

Billyonaire:Good day sir, I'm actually a young student who wants to know more than what i was actually thought which led me to drop religion. I've followed this thread with much attention and watched all the videos you've posted and i see a lot of sense to it but i have a lot of questions about the "FE" (flat earth) model. If the sun were disappearing due to 'perspective' then the sun too should be able to be 'brought back' using binoculars or a telescope. But the sun can not be brought back. If the FE version of perspective were a real thing, then ALL objects should be brought back by binoculars. But the sun and moon can't be zoomed in or brought back when they but are going behind the horizon why? Secondly,( i wish i could see one by myself) with your telescope when you zoom in to a ship beyond your eye perspective, do you see a different horizon again after the ship, like do you see past the ship to view water or just the ship alone? |

Interesting read. But, the earth is not flat — from my own observations and studies. And, since you do not subscribe to the fundamental fact that supports a round earth (actually an "Oblate Spheroid) — vis Gravity, then there's no point. It was really an interesting read Billyonaire. I wish I could meet you in person. |

I'm a geographer, currently in a uni, and I honestly do not believe this, countless questions need answers, I won't go about asking more or repeating what has already been cited. I commend the op though, but I'd advise him to forget this fruitless research and rather channel his resources into something worthwhile like the global warming issue or something. |
