Always good in giving hope through paper work but out there in the field, nothing to show for all the billions budgeted and siphoned in 2016.
Oma shee o,

Dispute the fact/opinion as stated, which of those roads are exclusively meant for the benefit of Swesterners? They are basically roads located in the SW for economic benefit of Nigerians.
So the OP is trying to be mischievous, trying to sound as if the Yorubas are the only beneficiaries and it's the basis for my opinion.
Good morning

This guy is very funny, not even worth a response. Name one food item that is cultivated in Lagos?

Lagos - Ibadan road is a MAJOR road in SW and you're here talking rubbish. Do you know the economic value these roads can bring to SW, I have a lot of friends that work in Lagos but spend their weekends in Ibadan. Imagine, if we have good railway system, most people would prefer to work in Lagos and live outside Lagos. Imagine the growth that would bring to all inner cities/towns in SW.

All these roads are roads that leads into Lagos and roads that Nigerians use to acess the sea and air Ports in Lagos
This definitely is neither a favour to SW nor Lagos in particular. These are definitely not SW projects
I really think all the roads leading to Apapa should be maintained by NPA. They have a high revenue turnover and are perfectly capable of repairing all the roads continually damaged by the heavy traffic of trailers to and from the ports.

SW accounts for over 52% of net goods imported so it is commonsense for it to have more roads to cater of haulage of those goods.
Sw or Lagos which one ,cos they are two different things.
Ogun, oyo, osun, ondo n ekiti contributes almost nothing to Nigérian imports.

That's pretty fair as chunk of bad Roads are more in Southern Nigeria. But, the ultimate is for holistic implementation of the projects.

Right from the mouth of Apapa wharf down to the Ijora bridge is a mess, JB just did a shoddy remedial job at the Leventis axis which has made traffic even worse as they installed a barrier to prevent trucks from accessing the bridge.
Meanwhile, the Tin-Can First gate through Trinity bus stop to Berger is an eyesore to and from.
These two roads constitute a huge chunk of Nigeria revenue and they are allowed to rot away simply because we have a govt that don't care as long as the revenue don't stop.

See? The repair for the roads should be budgeted for from source (NPA revenue) and regularly maintained. NPA should completely own the roads. No need for bureaucracy and continually waiting on Federal allocation for road repairs. Not rocket science.

Virtually all the long haulage trucks pass through the length and breath of all the SW states before they get to their hinterland destinations.

I understand your point, but the truth is that it's virtually impossible for NPA to touch the Federal roads as they can't budget for such amount from their revenue ( we are even under TSA), NPA just did the inner auxiliary road in the Tin-Can port axis.

All it takes is a review of the laws governing the NPA by the Senate. The entire Apapa axis is a mess; I always dread heading in that direction. It has also affected the local economy of the area.

You are fortunate, unfortunately that is where some of us live and work.
Such will affect the Federation account - the sharing pot grin grin. Senate wouldn't want that.
Imagine how they throw away the bill to give Lagos a special status? Some people just hate the fact that Lagos is located where it is.

The foolish British Empire tried to separate Lagos from Yoruba people but the dynamism of men of wisdom of Yoruba used their pens when the fire power of British was stronger and they chased British colonialist away thus Yoruba did Sustained Lagos. And now some people called themselves Nigerians want to kill themselves because Lagos belong to Yorubas people. They kept crying like a rabid bitten children. Awa ni ani okun awa ni ani osa. If you've heard about Fedan furniture /Fedan phone /Fedan bank /Fedan ear piece /Fedan phone and accessories, then you know the pain and the Great loss of this man's death which was as a result of Bad road network. This is one out of many dieying daily, weekly, monthly ,quarterly ,yearly. So sorry case

Please next year budget should cover rehabilitation and expansion of ibadan/ ife road. That road is not good especially the new one constructed by RCC. And the road should not be giving back to RCC. They like fake work.

Really?
I thought some people are commending RCC for a good job they are doing on the Shagamu-Ibadan axis of the Lagos Ibadan road Reconstruction going on.

I heard that the quality of the sections of the Lagos/Ibadan road will indicate who did it - better quality being JB.

I regularly use the completed portion of the JB road, it's really very well done. The problem is sooner than later all those heavy articulated trucks will start the damage again.

Who are the people using South East roads? 70% of people from your region and running to South West daily and also 80% of the goods coming to Nigeria come through Lagos and South West before the goods will be taking to your region and other regions...
