ABS...Automatic Brake System

There is nothing like automatic break system. ABS means anti lock breaking system. When you press your break pedder during emergency( which is not the right thing to do) your wheels would instantly stop rolling, but your car would continue it's movement. This phenomenon would lead to car somersaulting and deadly accident. ABS was designed to overcome this situation by pulsing and releasing the wheels at around 26times per second ensuring no wheel get locked to the road surface and thereby prefer accident. So your wheels keep on rolling and slowing down at almost the same rate with the vehicle until it came to rest at a time t in seconds.

Nearly all of these are abbreviations not acronyms. Abbreviations and acronyms aren't the same. SAT NAV is the only acronym on the list
