How can I prevent heat from the engine and come into the car. This defeats the efficiency of the AC. I am sure mechanics have removed or partially replaced something the manufacturer installed to block the heat from getting into the car... Any ideas or knowledge with this |

Kelxpress: There could be something in your AC damaging the compressor or you're unfortunate to have bought "not so good" compressors. Ensure your AC system is not dirty, if it is don't bother flushing, just replace all the major components i.e. evaporator, compressor, condenser, dryer, expansion valve (if it doesn't come with the evaporator) sekeyso: A weak compressor drcynthia: Your compressor is weak. replace it festuks: it's not gas, it is your dryer gone bad and contaminating the AC system. Flushing modern AC systems won't work because the fins are very small. your best bet is to change the entire AC components, clean the ac pipes, replace damaged pipes, ENJOY your AC 1 Like |

My Car is 2009 Camry ,4cyl . observed it cools few days after I refilled the gas. The gas doesn't also last up to one month and it will start to blow hot air, an ac tech said the compressor and condenser was bad and said he observed a leak on one O ring which was changed but the gas still don't last. His diagnosis and suggestions. 1. Buy a new compressor and condenser 2. Change the condenser ( said the condenser must be changed with the compressor ) All his demand are in range of 100k. Am in Enugu. Please any body with good solution should help me ooo. kezsmane@yahoo.com Thank you all |

festuks: 1. My advise is that what ever is bad in your car, replace with the exact replacement part. When you change your compressor, you are buying into more problems, such as engine vibration, lack of cooling, loss of engine power while AC is on, engine stalling etc 2. Never change your condenser unless it has a leakage or more than 30% of the fins are bent 3. A flush may be a good idea, however, i dont think your AC technician is good at it. Am sure the technician declared your compressor bad without pressure testing it. |

Kezsman: Just find your leak first, change the o-ring and recharge. From what you wrote, it is conclusive that your compressor is still good but you have a leakage. |

Re: Its A/C Season Again, Lets Share Problems And Solutions by adanny01(m): 12:16pm On Feb 02, 2017 |
mare23ayo: There are several reasons that causes AC to fail when idle or driving in traffic. The number one thing to check is the condenser and cooling fans. Normally, the hot refrigerant that has cooled the car needs to cool down and compressed again by the compressor. If that refrigerant doesn't get cooled down by the condenser, the compressor will shut down until the refrigerant is cool again. Driving at high speed helps cool the refrigerant further because of increased airflow to the condenser which the cooling fans were not doing their job properly. Secondly, if you either have the wrong type of compressor installed or the compressor pressure is low (bad) or low refrigerant can all cause low cooling at idle or low engine speed. Ultimately, we can only give you ideas to give to your technician who is willing to listen to advise or to check for yourself or to use as a yardstick to test the performance of your technician. Since, the car is not online or your description to the problem may not be absolute, the specific problem can only be diagnosed accurately by physical examination. So dont go changing parts unless you or your technician is certain. The manifold pressure gauge is the best tool to know what exactly the problem is. You also need to know how to read the gauges. |

earthrealm:your right, well for the filling quantity every car has a label sticker on the bonnet you will see the filling quantity and the type of gas and oil. 2.you do not need to spend up to 10 min when refilling the gas, bcus if you take your time to vacuum properly,by standard you vacuum for 30min,and if you have a recycling machine you will refill less than 2min, 3,if you cant find the sticker on the bonnet, you can download a software on your phone.that software contain the quantity of gas and oil and there types. here are my equipment below.you can also give me a call when you have any issue concerning auto air conditioning 08026941215,i also work on hybrid cars it only for andriod phone users.here is the name of the software BEHR HELLA SERVICE it free. 3 Likes

drcynthia:I just repaired my AC. used to blow hot air like yours before a friend took me to his AC man workshop at Ikosi last saturday. My car AC hasn't worked like this since i bought my car. My friend was right about him..he is good at what he does. Could recommend the guy if you live in Lagos. PS: tried 2 previous AC repairers. Both just collected money and ended up doing nothing. One even told me he will need to remove the entire dashboard to have my AC work well. |

Boss in the house, my Toyota corolla 2008 car AC is not blowing cold air. i took it to a car AC repairer for gas topping he said the system is not allowing gas topping that the compressor is bad that i'll need to change it for about 35,000 and that he will change it to a manual compressor instead of the automatic compressor that came with the car. BOSS i need your advice , i dont have that kind of money right now. what should i do? |

Re: Its A/C Season Again, Lets Share Problems And Solutions by mosbus: 10:13pm On Feb 17, 2018 |
drcynthia:you have low gas in the system, and did they evacuate the formal gas in the system before refilling. Note....next time pls always evacuate the air in the system of your ac before you refill reason is you have more of air in the system than gas so you can't expect you car to get cold like before, and most time before you know it your compressor will get damaged. |
