I never said student
Well that's both awkward and depressing

Anyway, can you help with any of the questions. I'd be grateful

Donpre:

I hoping that means medical student.

If so, I would love if you can help with the following questions

1. How would you rate unizik, as a med school? the lecturers, facilities, environs etc.

2. what was the supposed jamb cut off for 2015, I know 2016 was different.

3. How many students are admitted yearly for medicine.... Possibly a ratio of indigenes to non-indegenes would be deeply appreciated

Thanks you sir!

Unizik is accredited and it's a good school

2015: 292.5

The MDCN accredited quota for Medicine and Surgery is 100. There's no such ratio in any university in Nigeria. What we have is Merit: 60% Locality: 25% and Educationally Less Developed states: 15%

Please note that yearly thousands of people apply for medicine in a limited space of 100. Last year almost 7000 people applied for medicine in Unizik, aside the prescience thing other universities have higher numbers for fewer spaces some having as many as 12000 applicants. So you know only the very very best are picked. All over the world Medicine and Surgery remains the most noble profession and the competition for admission is very tight(forget those adverts that promises you 1st class admission into medicine in various countries, if you are not hardworking you'll end up in a science or allied health course. There medicine is a 2nd degree and u must 1st attain a very high CGPA in your 1st and a very high MCAT score afterwards so you see it's not as easy as it looks) Not everyone would be admitted, but people would be admitted. You can be among the few. so disabuse your mind from the so called : I wasn't given admission because I don't know anybody thing. It's a means people console themselves for their failures. STAY AWAY FROM SUCH PEOPLE. Work hard too.

I hope to see you doing resisdency under me someday. GOODLUCK FUTURE DOC

1stly I would like you to be guided in your statements.

2ndly I would like you to mention schools you know that accepts people from other departments into medicine. I would love to learn before you start attacking persons who are way ahead of you in terms of accomplishments

Follow your passion. But if you want security you go for Medicine. The Healthcare is the domain of the Doctor (MBBS). there's no where in the world were any of those professions you listed earn higher than a doctor of the same level. Health related courses is really no child's play. So you better have a passion for it.

If you are good in chemistry I would advise you go for Pharmacy (that course is no child's play). I don't really know much about optometry but I would advise you become a doctor and specialize in ophthalmology instead. Medicine is the same same as Dentistry but if you are looking for security then I'll advise Medicine as it has brother areas of specialization. Here is an average salary of healthworkers in US
