after loading the bin file with balong, putty cannot display the nvrdex of my modem. evn dccrap is not detecting it.

the ports are showing "fc-application interface" and "fc-pc ui interface" in device manager.

what can do to make putty or dccrap detect the modem.

Is your mifi coming on? Which firmware did you flash ,be specific. The method on page 20 has been confirmed to work with any E5573 mifi, try that instead

i used balong_usb_downloader_1.0.1.10 with uldr_oem-nck_e5573.bin

used the serial port of "fc-pc ui interface" and putty and dccrap couldnt detect it.

used the putty configuration of serial under connection type and force on under local echo and local line editing

Not showing where, Your PC I guess. Try another laptop running Windows 7 or maybe 8.

The only issue you can have with is driver, but it seems it's properly installed. No need to downgrade the firmware.

Remove the battery, replace it reboot he modem and do the bootshot again then try putty

No sim, only battery

attached are screenshots of device manager display after loading with balong upload, putty config and where putty freezes. tried multiple time and still get stuck at putty.

I was finally able to unlock it. Thanks for the encouragement. Using it to rock ntel 4g.

The problem seemed to be from the drivers. Tried it on another laptop and it worked like a charm.

U all should stop flashing firmwares. Simply use the Putty method. Bootshot and use putty to calculate nck and oem codes. That's all. Please ensure that u do not update ur mifis after purchase. Unlock first before updating firmware.

the methods online requires extracting the nv hash codes with dccrap and then inputing it into the calculator and calculating the nck code. but it requires doungrading the firmware and thats the risky part.

I know they unlock it at the computer village ikeja; but because it's too few and most consider it expensive it's really not that popular for people to buy and experiment with trying to unlock it.

I'd advice you google and check youtube or just head on to ikeja and save yourself the stress. You can also quote or call Xhamel88 08038407776, good luck and cheers......

Saw the following write up at modemunlock:

Error 19 may caused if the other application or service is using your modem.
Solution :-
1. First of all close the dashboard and disconnect internet connection
2. Open Task manager >> Processes and kill HWDeviceService.exe, DCService.exe and MobileBroadband.exe, UIExec.exe ( UI Assistant Service )

you dont need to upgrade/downgrade the mtn e5573cs-322 modem to unlock. just install the huawei mobile partner from any recent huawei usb modem on your system, boot shot the mtn mifi and run the process stated on page 21. the correct spots for boot shot is also displayed on the page.
