I some how doubt this stories. ...I am from the east and even till date corpers stay for free in our bq,and even get free food supplies from my aunt who takes care of the house, this has been like this for two decades plus,my late dad will always reminded everyone how Jakande made him not to spend a dime and train all his children, including some of his sales boys for free in Lagos schools.

Hypocrisy..
I hate when people decide to sectionalize the bigotry and tribal occurrence in Nigeria...

I also served, in another part of Nigeria and I have also lived in other parts of the country. I also have my own experiences... No Tribe is innocent of this silly behavior...

I just hate when people decide to be stupid hypocritics.
That silly corper in question, In her region Igbos are killed in thousands, she didn't even experience harm.. Just tribal comments..

She is deluded, useless and silly.. She is not welcomed in the East. She can go Fu*k herself...

Igbos are the worst, other tribes are the Best.... Rubbish grin

Could it be that the gal is ashamed of Buhari? That is supposed to be a compliment now; that you are a sister to the president of the Federal Rebublic? Haba! Except you are actually not proud of him. Now you and your friends are throwing hate jibes at the "ibo" so you are no different simple.

Tribalism is bad though we as a majority christian nation have to be charitable in our doings. . Christ even when he was to be taken away to prison still healed his enemy

Good one from your folks! But some other people can be mean though its not a function of tribe or religious affiliations.

I for one do not care for your religion or ethnicity or tribe. If i like you, i like you and if i don't, it might be a function of your personality rather than religion or ethnicity or tribe.

On the contrary, Hausas are very hospitable people more especially if you are making efforts to learn their language. When you go to the market there, just tell the Mallam NAWA (i.e How Much), you would see how happy he would be seeing you speaking his tongue. Most people corpers who served in the North, left there with emotions... What a nice place to stay! What a nice set of people!!!

This happens everywhere in the country. First I was in Lagos attending an RCCG church in Ikeja, a first timer. During the Sunday school class, the pastor starts to rant about all these ibo people, they are problematic, they are this and they are that. I just siddon they look, although I am not ibo but Damn.
Second I travelled to the north to visit my aunt and she told me how some of the hausas do harass them calling them infidels and stuff, threatening to kill them. Thirdly, my friend contested for an sug position in BUK kano, dude was a Muslim from kogi, not from the core north, and couldn't speak hausa fluently, that single 'flaw' was used against him in the elections, he lost gallantly.
I could go on and on, it's a sad reality. When you are in a place like that, try to blend in. My aunt in the north wraps a veil (gele) over her head now, that has eased the harassment. You should try to blend in, they are just being afraid and fearful people are harmful people. Sorry

I can relate, I served in Enugu State.
During the fulani/igbo scuffle, my students threatened they'll lead their igbo brothers to my house and hack me to pieces.
Although M neither hausa/fulani but I'm a muslim.
That was my only offence.
Igbo elders tell stories of hate to their young ones, they fuel their young bloods with tribal and religious hatred, they in turn pass it to d other generations.

Abi o. Donald Trump too don turn Igbo? I thought he's currently banning many Muslim countries going to America.

It may not be cool BUT those Igbo sent 6 feet under by religious fanatics in the North cannot come online and complain now.

Can this Hausa lady show us tweets or whatever that she used to condemn her people bombing others? shocked shocked

Anunty shutup u idiot. Even europian fear ur veil, everyone fears ur covering, so why single out the Igbos?

U act so holy and what have u not, what do u and ur people do to Igbos up north? It's an untold story, no one should talk till they hear the other side.

Your own is just oral harassment and u re crying. We get assault, we re called "iyamiri baban doya uba daya kakan gwoma"

We dnt move freely up north no matter how long it is u ve stayed or how deep ur tongue is to the language. We dnt go to night vigil cos ur chances of returning is slim, u can drink alcohol and be save.

Igbos re just managing to stay up north cos cost of living is very low compared to down south, fixing in will be difficult for a family that's why u see people still pretend to b Dia.

Nonsense girl. Even Lagos is banning veil cover and u re in the East ranting.

As trump ban una, d world no go hear word, but una ban jew from entering una countries with death penalty, why Jews people never full street?
The reverend father is human, I even think say na assault him assault u.

Me too I hate yoruba more than anything, I like Hausa people sef, na dis Dia religious imbalance I no understand. Dey almost killed me back den.

Igbos are the most clannish ppl, their double standards when it come to things like this is par non; just imagine, how could any wearing a veil who would automatically and easily stand out as a rare minority constitute a threat to anyone.
How many times had Boko Haram struck anywhere in the south let alone in Igbo land - please, therefore why the need to insult and harass your corper guest.
Well, let them continue breeding hatred; what they sow is what they will reap, I would assume because of her experience that this is at least another mind so tainted by their hatred and which would most likely now be reciprocated by this female corper when she returns home - and so the cycle will continue.

The stories narrated by the girl is quite surprising and sounds like tales; every single non-Igbo person I know who served in the SE has always had a good experience with a very warm welcome and treatment/support by the locals. Except of course things have suddenly changed now due to the GEJ/Buhari conundrum or the Ipob/Nnamdi kanu hate preachings.

You have to be 'emotionally brave' to serve in the east. They're too shallow for them to measure up to other parts of Nigeria. They're peaceful, but are not hospitable at all. They don't treat visitors right and do not have respect for their elders.

How many youth corpers have been
Victims of religious violence in the East.
I can relate with all what they laid out, and quite frankly, I have come to discover that psychological attack is far worse than physical. That's all there is to it when dealing with some SE folks who think the world revolves around them. During my service year, I encountered some staunch, unrepetant, hostile Igbo folks who see everyone who is not Igbo as Yoruba. It is that bad. However, I have some pretty fascinating neighbours, who, though are Igbo, are just about the nicest people you would ever come across.

Most of those who segregate and drum the beats of consciousness into the very ear among Igbo folks are more than those who are welcoming.

Truth is, NO TRIBE IS EXEMPTED FROM THIS. JUST AS SOME OF MY FRIENDS RECOUNTED THEIR ORDEAL IN DELTA STATE WAY BACK.
