Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum but I almost read each and every part, I am a Filipino national currently residing in Dubai, I have B1/B2 visa and travelled to US in 2015, I am preggy now and I want to deliver to US and will definetly pay for all the expenses, however I am so confused and scared as I do not have any relatives in there, I will be flying to US in march and planning to deliver in Tx elpaso, hope I won't face any trouble at POE I will tell them that I will delivery my baby,,,, but I haven't send any notice to US embassy here in Dubai (Is it still necessary?) as I already travelled in 2015 as Tourist B2 which was also mentioned in the entry stamp. I really need advise to clear out my mind, as I know everyone is advising to send an email to embassy... but I still want to confirm if I really need to do that. sad sad sad TIA... smiley smiley smiley smiley

Dear Vamum, I know you have warned us not to PM you on this Richmond issue. cry Please help my ministry, can i pm you? embarassed lipsrsealed
vamum:

You should be fine. The airports in DC (IAD/DCA) are about 2 hours (2 1/2 plus traffic) from Richmond VA. You can get an Uber costs about $200 for your comfort or a $15 greyhound bus or Amtrak < $50 from DC to Richmond depending on comfort level for you. Uber will be straight from the airport to destination others will include taxi to the station (greyhound/amtrak) and taxi to your destination from the station here in Richmond. Most people fly directly from the DC airports cos its cheaper, the only downside is the additional stress getting from Richmond to DC. If possible try and route your return flight out from Richmond so you don't have to deal with that additional road trip with the newborn.

Hello Ulio, I sent you a PM. Can you please respond in your free time? Thanks.
Ulio:
Mission accomplished!

Used henrico doctors hosp virginia. DR W.F
..mild pain started early hrs of 5th, by the time I got to d hospital as I was 2hrs away, I was 4cm dilated, baby arrived 11.6.16. (Vaginal birth no epidural - d pain no b here, I wnt try that next time) note that each time I look at my son d pain fades the more..

Was discharged after 2days
Dr 850, hosp 2078, paedtrician 1228, healthy baby 264 . hearing test cancelled

Gt birth certificate after 2weeks
Nig passport 240 expedited at d embassy n got it next day.
US passport 165 expedited n gt it next day at Washington passport agency.

Infant ticket with BA $349. De insisted baby's ticket is 1 way saying that's d remaining part of d trip as baby mst be attached to an adult else I purchase another ticket for myself returning to US. Payed at d airport on departure.

On board bassinet was provided, air hostess were of great help as I was alone from Washington to London. As usual entertainment was great.

Landed Abj 6th aftr the long layover very tired.
Mother and child are doing great thankfully.
Indeed my case has been different. Another testimony- gt a new job as I was away.

God's grace to everyone in d house.
Also met Tolu a fellow NL mama. It's been a pleasure meeting a friend and sister in diaspora.. We had a great time. .

Thanks to everybody for contributing to d success of this trip..AdomMum I really appreciate you.

[quote author=zulee post=53753659]I got a US visa in Feb 2014, didn't travel that year cos I got pregnant n lost the baby with a complication. Got pregnant again after 2 months and decided to have the baby in US Aug 2015. Paid all my bills. Visa expired Feb 2016, applied Jan 2017 but was denied because the VO wondered why I didn't travel in 2014, explained to him what happened. Showed him my receipt from the hospital but he complained it showed "pending final bill" and that's all I got. He also raised that in 2014 I said I wasnt going to seek for medical, I explained what led to that. Was surprised when he said we didn't qualify. Refused my husband and son too. I want to have a baby mid 2017 in the US. What do you advice pls?
Did you finish paying your bills when you had your baby in 2015?

Happy to help in what ever way I can, I'll send you the same links I had sent the other lady. I actually checked online too, don't see any cheap accommodation close to your hospital in Richmond. Don't think Richmond is short stay friendly The ones I saw were starting from $1100 per month. There may be some other cheap ones downtown, but I wouldn't advise a pregnant woman staying alone to take that.

I opened an account with bank of America yesterday. Jus passport, before then Wells Fargo asked for secondary identification, of either debit or credit cards bearing same name as passport, international drivers licence, SSN. I didn't have any of those as my debit cards are still bearing my maiden name and the others my surname comes first... it depends on the branch. I just prayed for favour after they bounced me in wells Fargo as I was entering BOA..

Hi my people....
POE Experience.....
Houston is not smiling this time around if possible avoid it as my wife was delayed for 5hrs for secondary inspection. She told me they were many inadmissible passengers yesterday mainly whites, no regards for pregnant women and mother traveling with children. Her phone was seized for chatting with me, that they took many phones from passenger and they were asking people for email address n password.
Though her secondary interview lasted for 5mins but she was there for 5hrs waiting for her turn. The new era is here... Pls do not lie in your application.... Ireee ooooo

Doctoresparati" is the name of the organisation and not a doctor, they'll assign a doctor to you and I doubt him "Rodolfo" takes patients. Yes, it's the doctor assigned to you you mention for interview possibly with a letter from that doctor
