if Nigerian youths were united irrespective of tribe and religion, this is the right time to occupy CBN and demand for Emiefele's resignation because this skyrocketing dollar rate is beyond crude oil price fall

IF GTBank did that they would have sent an email... I just found out it is limited to paypal transactions and facebook adverts.

humilitypays:
They stopped all foreign (dollar, etc) transactions on their Naira mastercard

Okay, thanks.

Emmyk:

I believe it is limited to PayPal and Facebook as someone used his Gtbank for an International transaction few hours ago, I also used mine yesterday.

I'm just seeing this thread now, but earlier today, a friend told me UBA stopped too, here is the response I got, when I made enquiry from UBA account on Twitter.
I believe Gtbank and Access Bank still work fine.

Re: Finally Gtbank Bans Use Of Their GT Mastercard On Paypal, Facebook, etc by Nobody: 8:47am On Feb 19, 2017
Bro u lie shaoo
It's only on paypal
humilitypays:
Access bank too isn't working. All the banks have banned all foreign transactions on their naira card. They said you should open a dom account and then request for a dollar card if you want to make foreign payments....and now the question is how do you fund the dom account, of course using black market rate of $1 = NGN526

Seriously, APC, Buhari, Emiefele, CBN have failed Nigerians! The hardship is going to get tougher for Nigerians.

Imagine Nigerian youths hustling on their own to survive by doing small small businesses online can't do that again....they can't renew their domain names or hosting plans....they can't pay for foreign goods and services unless they patronize black market.

I think the real time for Nigerian youths to occupy the streets has come cry cry angry angry

This News is Authentic! My close friend and colleague was affected yesterday. He was trying to pay a Merchant online with Paypal and was rejected severally.

I offered to give guides on how he could manoeuvre because i have once had issues with my account too but to no avail until he called me this morning to break the sad news.

He said CBN directed the Banks to stop due to the way "G Boys" were using Paypal for transactions. I was shocked ehn!

Now people running Online Jobs that involve transacting with Paypal will have to start sourcing for Credit Cards. What is life in Nigeria again!? angry

Everyday a Nigerian child wakes up, he/she is faced with uncountable life-threatening challenges that questions his existence and survival on earth. Yesterday comes the shocker news for all Nigerian small business entrepreneurs who have been relying on GTBank Mastercard for their international monetary transactions, as the last-man-standing bank rolled out a complete ban of all international transactions on their Naira mastercard, including USD ($) payments, which directly means that Nigerians can no longer send money using paypal EVEN if it is $1!), as GTB, which happens to be the only Nigerian bank that allowed Nigerians to spend a maximum of $100 on POS, foreign ATMS and websites, using their GTB Naira Mastercard.

For those who may argue this, please kindly visit GTB official customer care page on Facebook by clicking here, or see their official response below:

See details and alternative methods to send money to your foreign merchants here>>>http://www.frankwealth.com/2017/02/gtbank-bans-gtcard-on-paypal.html
I appreciate ur effort to sensitive the public on the current situation of forex stuffs with Nigerian debit cards. I just want to set the record straight so ppl can benefit from a complete and verified info.

1. GTB hasn't totally block their mastercard from international transactions. It's only disallowed from websites that witnesses frequent currency exchange transactions. This they(GTB) call forex sites. Their useless Mastercard stil works on amazon, ali express and few websites that Nigerians seldom do business with via local debit cards. All they wanna achieve is a very limited use of the almost unusable $100 dey gv customers.

2. It doesn't even work on skrill, so don't bother urself with the stress

3. Access bank(visa card) and UBA(Mastercard) cards work well for any sort of international transactions u wanna do with the $100 monthly limit. These are the only usable banks as of this moment. Access bank cards works at anytime of the day but uba cards work only midnight with a trick I'm not ready to bore y'all with.

4. GTB has disabled their cards on PayPal sinx 15th, not even on 17th as d OP finks. It's coz dey av noticed frequent international transactions using PayPal with their mastercards. If u find a new site to use for international transactions, once ppl begin to use dat site and they see the forex traffic. They blacklist the site sharply without warning.

MAKING MONEY LEGALLY IN THIS CORRUPT COUNTRY IS A SERIOUS CHALLENGE.

This is a major setback for all forex and currency traders.

They must have read the ymodulus dollar round-tripping thread and decided to act on it.

You can pay in Naira through PayU. All you need to do is create another Facebook Profile and make that new profile an Admin to your current Facebook Page. Then using that new profile, try to make payment for Facebook Ads for the page. At the point of payment, select PayU NOT Credit Card payment and it should give you access to pay in Naira.

People have got professional subscriptions to pay for as well, not just Facebook/PayPal embarassed

Today makes it 1 month Buhari has been lounging in London, while Nigerians are facing this amount of hardship. It's okay.

And for all those worthless paid agents defending this woeful government, you will surely get yours coming. Keep at it.

Stupid country. Stupid leaders. Stupid everything.

Have applied for international passport since 1st week of January till this moment, they keep saying no booklet.

I have 1 million NGN hanging in one of my online transactions, if not for all these useless policies I won't have used the alternative I opted for, now 1 mill hanging, still praying they just release my account.

I swear if any body again say make we still give Buhari and his idiots time. Na God go punish that Pesin and their entire house. The kin curse wey go fall on that Pesin still dey manufacture for hell.

Let just divide this country, if we no fit divide make war happen. If war no go happen make God just make every body vanish or disappear from the country. Infact make Nigeria disappear. Puff
