Is Jenifa's Diary rated PG? If no, then the problem starts from the censor board.

Originally, Jenifa's accent could be traced to the Ibadan people in Oyo state but she really exaggerated , but that is not the point though.

My point is, people who already know the right grammar to use may not be a victim of this but people especially children who are still learning The English language should not be viewing that movie.

I heard a little girl speaking exactly like Jenifa. She was telling another kid "Joe, ava? and he replied "I is fine". Think of the damage it will cause to their English speaking ability on the long run.

Jenifa's Diary is not for school children but people watch it with kids around and you know kids learn things fast and if they know it, it is hard for them to forget it.

My advice is, don't watch Jenifa's Diary around kids.

Your insult is welcomed.

Most females are guilty of this 'nonsensical' and lackadaisical act, without balancing the justapositional synopsis of the game!

Terrible and Tragic!

overhyped series, yet to understand the head n tail of it.recently I overheard some primary school children speaking it, only low IQ adults who I'm sure are fans if zee world, BBNaija, and telemundo will allow kids watch it with them.

I watched new masquerade as a kid and zebrudaya, gringory and clarus did not distort my spoken english.
Even as a kid, I only saw the humour in the way they speak.

I have always maintained this view though I enjoy jenifa series but its a NO NO for kids. I think the regulators should do something fast about this. The television series should be shown after 10pm when kids are on bed. This could help and as for those those who watch on YouTube with their kids any time of the day, na OYO dem de, by time your kids grow up and begin to say ' How is you'. you go know how far!

Op has a point... but on the other hand is it that the black race is caused that we can't bring anything to the table? For instant cartoon, what do kids really gain from watching cartoon? I can go on and on.

Zombie
Spiderman
King Kong (they keep reproducing and raking millions)
Tu-face idibia once raise the opinion that pidgin English be added to our curriculum, but many are fast to condemn it..

We need to have an identity that the white should also recon with.

The series is worth the hype.

You know what I think? Go do your own series and exceed hers before you criticize someone's.
