Yall will argue that Neymar carries Brazil on his back and singlehandedly won Olympics, why can't the 5 times Ballon d'or winner also carry Argentina on his back and win then at least a trophy since he has been playing for the country.

I ask again, are Brazil players better than Argentina players or Neymar is better than Messi such that he can 'carry' his own country, Messi can't, rather he has fcccked things up for the country on some occasion.

Y'all should stop absolving Messi of Argentina's failures, he also shud be blamed.

Messi has also 'carried' Argentina on his 'back' and won the Olympics in '08.

I doubt 'dona loves Aguero, remember his daughter divorced Kun a couple of years back, and 'dona called him an 'idiot' or so then...

Well.. I wouldn't care for all i know. I've supported them and I have also learnt my lessons not to support them anymore. If they like they qualify, if they like they fail to qualify, na their business, I couldn't care less. Messi is Messi for me. Qualifying or not wouldn't change anything to me, even with what haterz would say. E get time wey them no go talk?

Meanwhile, one of the things I hated last year and up to this present moment was/is Messi going back to the NT. I vex for am and that's honestly one of the reasons I would never support them again. Na very ungrateful nation Argentina be, and Messi for me made a mistake going back. That's my opinion though.
Spot On though.. I also agree he shouldn't have returned..Ungrateful set of people

I know the expectations wey I get for Argentina because of Messi, but they dashed my hopes over and over again. Three freaking years in a row. Haba!

You can hop3 all you can, but I'll be here to remind you lot I told you Leo ain't gonna win anything with Argentina other than what he won as a youth. It's a fact I have decided to face. Just a matter of time before you guys see it too.

I agree, its just the Messi bias due to us being fans. I belive that every fan on this thread acknowledges the fact that Leo deserves some amount of blame for Argentina's failures in finals.

Messi is an international failure. Argentines don't settle for mediocrity. They have a rich history of international success.

They have 2 world cups and over 10 copas. Then Messi came on the scene with his bow legs and bad luck and jinxed them immediately. He was even missing penalties in the finals ffs.

Meanwhile, ororo on his international tournament debut took Portugal straight to the final, and in his next final delivered something no other Portuguese player ever did - an international trophy.

That's why they chopped up Messis statue like corn beef in Argentina, whilst Ororo is officially the greatest Portuguese player of all time as announced by the Portuguese FA.

Always aim to be like Ororo.

Can you just imagine, let Hazard or Terry do this, Raumdeuter will not get off his case for life but since its Messi, let's push the blame on Aguero and Higuain or Di Maria, one or all of these guys told Messi to lose a PK in a crucial final match abi dmcdad, Bykebyke.. ..?

i think dybala as that potential, and would surely have that hunger as a young player , but he wont be given more chance as long as those he-goat are fit, but is looking as if he is a injury prone player .......his he in the matchday squad ?
He has the potential no doubt..The concern is will He not follow the footpath of his elder brothers??.. Higuain Aguero et al...When Abraham paid tithe Levi was in his loins..Na generational thing for these players..Dybala might follow suit

If Higuain buried the chances he got, there would be no penalties to play.

Aguero won't even get the chances Higuain got because he won't be in a position to receive them.

And Di Maria is a headless chicken.
