Depends on both personalities. If they are focused, purposes driven people, then they will see through personalities. But if they are the typical rat racers apt to bouts of outbursts of frustration then the office will become a powder keg and the marriage can quickly succumb.
There are several successfully run businesses out there by couples where the team principal is the wife. I can't see the difference. If you cannot see beyond personalities and relationships as in this case, you probably are not a purpose driven person.

I don't mean it has to be point blank in the faces of other staffs. Behind the scene, once in a while a little favour here and there but its a rare occurrence these days, having your wife as your direct boss. Maybe among the board of directors.

Mistakes, errors and fails happens, being "driven" or not. Having Someone who understands you in charge gives you a better chance of delivering effectively.
