@spyder880, please can you review this quote for plumbing works and electrical and help me out. I am doing the wordwork for roofing my 8 all ensuite bed room duplex. Now my builder has sent me this quote for the plumbing and electrical works. Please look at the quote and let me know whether it is within range, especially the labour costs. I plan to discuss it with him this afternoon and would appreciate your views before I meet him. You can see from the time I am making this post that I have not been able to sleep since he sent this quote. I don't really have time to go to the market to check these prices, I will allow him buy them if the prices are not way off. But the cost of labour seems high to me. The site is in Enugu.

I stopped reading when I saw 55 bundles of electrical pipes, that should be enough for at least 7 big houses.

The workmanship is wayy to much, and he still added supervision to it.

Renegotiate the whole quote.

Completing the foundation.........

The type of stone we are digging out from inside this land is in no way indicative of the firmness. This soil is notoriously weak and we are planning on a foundation type that will provide a firm footing for this house.

We are getting the reinforcements and materials ready, my whole crew are on their way to this site..........

More work ongoing this morning as we start the column base excavations.

@Spyder880, as I mentioned, I sent you an e-mail check and respond. I have attached the picture of the house. Woodworks have advanced on the roofing though. I would like you to step in from wall rending and plastering if I can get a better deal and good work. To be fair, the guy so far is doing a good work, his labour cost is just too high for me. And he doesn't break it down for me to know the application of the bulk labour charges. I pay for supervision but he is hardly there, he leaves his foreman there and attend to other jobs - drives me crazy. I pay for ferari and he gives me bittles.

We are done with most column bases here, note how deep we made them be............

We are breaking a lot of stones from inside this foundation, we are using special tools to chisel the stones till it breaks.

Getting ready with our materials........

We first did a filling with sharp sand, before the blinding was done, then we placed the floor mat, and starter bars. note the type of starter bars we use.......
