seriously you didn't include Wizkid? Include him and the list is complete. If there is a song I cannot stand it is Daddy Yo, gosh what in the world was he singing?

Now on a serious note many musicians in Nigeria are overrated just as many American musicians are also overrated. It is different strokes for different folks. I think the moment you understand that there is a music for different moods you won't find some musicians actually intolerable. For example some songs are just good for that moment when you want to be a deep thinker and enjoy music while some do the magic when you want to just relax and not be serious. All the same it is important to at least make some sense but if they don't and the rythm and beat does the magic then it is still entertainment. As for me give me my Brymo and 2 baba anytime, any day and any moment.

Whenever you see someone rating another, look at them very well... They have nothing that can be rated.

It's the first sign of failure.

Stop being ridiculous! I googled and pasted Eazi and Tecno's Lyrics here not cos I jam them and know them but because I have accidentally had opportunities (sometimes, helplessly) of listening to different songs they offered without being able to align with just a particular one with meaningful lyrics. Same thing with the people that pasted Chris brown's or whoever. It doesn't mean we all listen or admire them.
What the guy up there is saying is factual only if you could reason with him. No one is hating anyone, that someone do drugs, get rich and empower his immediate community doesn't change the fact that he's into drugs. No matter those people's achievements through their acts, it's still doesn't change the fact that they are wack. Lil' Wayne is one of the richest US hip hop artist. Does it change the fact that his lyrics are lewd? Who's now hypocrite?
The last time I checked I didn't criticise any artist so I don't fit into the definition of hypocrisy that's if you know what hypocrisy is all about. And pls don't give me the crap of 'listening by accident' cos honestly anybody can form anything online.2pac is considered one of the most influential musicians to ever perfect the art of music.Did he have wack lyrics?Certainly. was his lyrics lewd?100% all the time. But his music went beyond that. That's the same scenario today.Do tekno&Mr eazi have lewd lyrics?yes.Does their music go beyond lyrics?Yes. PAC promoted guns&violence, tekno promotes immorality.People listen to pac&feel inspired, people listen to tekno, they forget their problems&they are happy. The two are the same, just that one promotes this, the other that. One calls women bitches, the other calls his Penis Cassava.Celebrating one and Castigating one is now what I call hypocrisy

No mind them. For their mind then be critics o. Even Charles Novia and Etcetera wey like to talk no yarn this kind thing. No be Davido IF Omarion dey jam in him car the other day abi no be Kesh Efejoku Lupita and her friends dey jam for one video like that? Foreign acts dishing crap back to back but black man slave mentality no go let them notice.
no one is excusing their foreign counterparts who sing trash. The problem here is that Nigerian air play is dominated by mediocre artists. Slave mentality you say buy you're quick to mention foreigners jamming to our local artists songs. If there's no criticism, these guys won't get better, let's do away with the idea that anyone who criticizes you is a hater it won't do us any good .

I don't know why you guys immediately conclude that everyone who crtiicizes Nigerian artistes also listen to the rubbish songs made outside the country (that reeks of low self esteem and trust me, I have none of that). I believe that rubbish is rubbish, the country producing the rubbish does not in anyway sugarcoat the rubbish.

Damn, I've used too many 'rubbish' in a sentence. angry

I am among those who criticize our Music but trust me, you will never find a song from a Big/Lil/Young X ( X represents a 'gangsta' name) in my phone.

It isn't always the case.

Hadiza
Styl-Plus
Yarin ya na ki ka wo haske na (2x)
VERSE 1: There are tears in my eyes I wonder why, my
hearts still cries, when all along I thought that my
feelings had died and though I tried I can't deny the
pain inside; girl I know they only wanted us apart, me
to break your heart that's why they said you were
cheating, sleeping with another guy, I shoulda known
it was a lie now I'm paying the price.

CHORUS: Hadiza my girl, kariya sun ce mun, gaskiya ne
baby you took away my sunshine. Hadiza my girl, ki
kadai zai bani haske so baby bring back my sunshine.
Yarin ya na ki ka wo haske na baby baby

VERSE 2: There's a pain in my heart, cos we're apart,
my world is dark, I wonder if your soul has the same
kind of scar, that shows you are alone and far like a
lonely star. Girl I know I don't deserve another
chance, but I'm grateful in advance, please hear my
voice interceding, pleading on behalf of my heart that
we make a brand new start, baby brings back the spark.

RAP 1: Still have dreams of us, small house 3 kids
space wagon bus and a little dog that poos on the
couchy do it on the rug and you get grouchy, I'm not a
man that makes fuss I'm not a player not the kinda guy
to swear and curse, I'm not careless baby girl I'm
sure I'm not jealous may be just a little insecure
girl I shoulda known they were hating us, I shoulda
read between the lines before I betrayed your trust. I
shoulda asked you, shouldn't have been so quick to
harass you; now girl, you've taken away my sunshine,
now girl people say I'm gonna lose my mind, now girl I
really need you right now girl bring back my sunshine.

BRIDGE: Now girl my heart is aching, aching for your
love flowing through my body side by side with my
blood. My world has started breaking turning into dust
we were holding it together you and I with our love,
ki kadai can teach me to smile again ki kadai, can
reach me and make life worthwhile again ki kadai, are
truly mine ki kadai can make me shine.

You must be way outta your godamn mind.
I should not even dignify you with my response cos you're too emotional to understand the bone of contention here and I should not really be doing this.

Tupac lewd right? agreed. Tecno, lewd right? Agreed. Pls why on earth should you be using Tupac's lewd lyrics to juxtapose that of Tecno. Oh My God. Should I even take you serious at all. We are talking about making meaning and not mumbling meaningless words together in the name of forming rhymes. Pls get this and stop arguing if you don't want to understand.

See for yourself below.

Tupac Unconditional love

lyrics
Album: Greatest Hits
(What y'all want?)
Unconditional Love (no doubt)
Talking bout the stuff that don't wear off
It don't fade
It'll last for all these crazy days
These crazy nights
Whether you wrong or you right
I'm a still love you
Still feel you
Still there for you
No matter what (hehe)
You will always be in my heart
With unconditional love

[Verse One:]

Come listen to my truest thoughts, my truest feelings
All my peers doing years beyond drug dealing
How many caskets can we witness
Before we see it's hard to live
This life without God, so we must ask forgiveness
Ask mama I got this urge to die
Witness the tears falling free from my eyes

Verse Two:]

Just got the message you've been calling all week
Been out here hustling on these streets, ain't had a chance to speak
But you know, with you and me it's on G
We could never be enemies, cause you been such a good friend to me
Where would I be without my dogs
No wonder why when times get hard
Cause it ain't easy being who we are
Driven by my ambitions, desire higher positions
So I proceed to make Gs, eternally in my mission
Is to be more than just a rap musician
The elevation of today's generation
If could make 'em listen
Prison ain't what we need, no longer stuck in greed
Time to play and strategize, my family's gotta eat
When we make somethin out of nothing
No pleasure in the suffering,

Which one of these two would you gladly copy words for words, unedited to woo a lady? Which one comes in very resourceful? I mean just merge 4 lines together of each artist here and tell me which one sounds like someone is loosing his mind and going insane already. wink
