Going by what I read on the news so time ago, I think this action was long overdue as Paul Emeka had lost at the Supreme Court ( http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/02/s-court-sacks-assemblies-god-leader-rev-emeka/ ).
Disclaimer: I don't support any of them though, but since they chose to take their case to court, the losing party should respect the verdict of the apex court.
