This isn't humility on the part of Ooni, if you ask me. Rather, it's stupidity. And it's time certain custodians of tradition and culture in Ife and Yoruba land called this Ooni to order and taught him principles of royalty as befitting Oonirisa's stool.

The throne or is it the highest seat they call it, is what makes him the king in his palace, and that is his kingly office. It's a sin for Pastor Adeboye to sit in that throne the same way it's a sin for the Ooni to sit in a Bishop's seat in an Anglican/Catholic church or Daddy GO's seat @ Holy Ghost Camp, since that's a priestly office. A particular king (Saul) assumed the priestly office because Prophet Samuel was late, and the king paid for it as his dynasty was ruled out of kingship in Israel till date. In the same vein, Samuel or any other prophet did not occupy the office of a king in the bible.

Oba respected the anointing of God in the life of Adeboye which is the reason he allowed him to sit on the customary chair which may provoke God to immensely bless his generation and that of well wishers.

Please borrow a leaf of sense from David's story in the bible. Till date his name in heaven and on earth earmarks till eternity.
