I am sorry but I don't really think Nigerian movies are of better quality in comparison with other African's. You just produce too many movies and in many cases you have no competition since other countries produce very few. Otherwise going by quality - nah. Only SA has an edge. Speaking of entertainment, most of these awards are won through votes and 99% of the cases people simply vote for their countrymen/women. That gives Nigerian artists an edge over the rest. Don't get me wrong though, Nigeria has many great musicians (Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti et al) and your current artists produce some good hits but again it's only in Nigeria where a very mediocre artist such as Davido would win awards and top Africa. I don't even know how and why that guy is considered a good musician.

It's not only Nigeria. Look at American and Korean stars

Buh if we are not mistaking, the major issue of contention was 'whether today's English language was pidginized or not', of course it wasn't as you claimed because native speakers of a language cannot pidginize their own language, they can only borrow vocabulary but the structure of the language would still remain, and i hope we have gotten that right.

As for standardization of pidgin, nothing stops a pidgin language from being standardized, Hatian creole was standardized (yes, it can be argued that it is a creole and not a pidgin)+++++++++ what about 'Tok pisin' of Papua new guinea? It has been standardized and officialized, even though it is now considered a creole today, buh It started out as a pidgin and was creolized not too long ago. Nigerian Pidgin is already displacing many native languages in South-South Nigeria and will soon be creolized.
****Nigerian pidgin can be standardized, infact there are private bodies working on it's standardization and dictionary in Nigeria. The language has not just been given Federal government consideration due to the division it might cause as the language is yet to penetrate northern Nigeria where Hausa is giving it a hot competition. i dont know where they get thier reference. Morocco and southafrica top the chart table. Egypt ,algeria and libya also perform good. Kenya and nigeria are a liittle diffrence.with nigeria leading by 2percentage. You can access wikipedia to fully get the info.

Lol we aren't that bad. But my family is an anomaly. My great grandfather was an atheist and always laughed at the traditional religions and culture. We were very atheist until my mum who got everyone to convert.
