This is a reckless financial management.

**MODIFIED**
In accounting, its not advisable to recover debts if the cost of recovery is quite enormous in relation to the debts to be recovered. This is mere logic, how can you spend over N600 million for payment of alliances and other ancillary services? and besides that, the Government paid members of the committee N2 million monthly in addition to other perks?. They made a calamitous decision though its good to know that the committee has been disbanded after such reckless financial management.
Its high time this government realizes that the fight against corruption shouldn't be made a scheme for enriching lives of some set of people.

in other words the probe has failed, and why will the fg spend as mush as 600 million on the committee members while there are hungry Nigerians on the street .
that is why we say the corruption fight shouldn't be substituted for creation of basic amenities to the Nigerian citizenry.
This is wickedness of the highest order

So what is the government doing to bring them to book? Are they now above the law? You appoint corrupt and culpable persons to probe something they are not free from.

Where is EFCC?

The first committee was closing in on some influential government officials and had to be disbanded so as not to discredit and embarass government. They want a report that meets their expectation, not the truth.

The monies spent on the committee is too much though but there's no way this investigation could've been concluded in 90 days with the way this money was stolen and shared among numerous thieves,I'm sure it was disbanded because the committee uncovered links of the arms deal cash to *some senior air force officers* that political and tribal affiliation favours them...were they expecting Dasuki to go down alone?
ask them. Their is no transparency in this government.

How can a single committee expend #600M in a country without basic facilities? Is that corruption in another form?

And that is how the whole 'wondrous probe' of the century will be thrown into the bin to preserve the 'untouchables'... When people with complete brains were screaming, 15million imbeciles said they must 'fight and eat' corruption. Now, who is probing who?

They finally discovered that that GEJ arms procurement was flawless and decided not to make public their findings and now they say they are quitting because of the high cost of the probing. I laugh in zulu. Meanwhile, if you can spend N600,000,000 to start a probe, then before you finish you would have spent double of the money you want to probe. Who is fooling who? Kettle calling pot black. May God have mercy on this nation.
