My friend you don't know these things smart people reside in every part of the country but in a situation where one has been with one "smart" person for one year, it is difficult to replace that person , people form bonds only by spending 3 weeks in camp only,
I am not aware of any Oil Company that officially gives out job slots, the only role I know is guaranteed for Indegenes is that of "CLO" Community Liaison officer.
The reason I talked about the HQ is because, I know someone that dropped his CV at a company's head office In Abuja, he was called for an interview that same week, although they weren't recruiting officially.

And btw I am not "jobless" only stating facts..

my Friend here is how this thing works, it's not about putting Yorubas or Igbos and according to the last statistics released the Igbos are actually doing better than the Yorubas in terms of Education currently.

Anyway I am tired..
Based on what statistics is Igbos doing better than Yorubas. Just make yourself feel good. U don't need to quote me anymore am out.

You guys are very wicked indeed, so with all the resources already giving to Lagos you people still want more? Lagos was developed for ages using our collective resources, even today almost all imports are chanelled through Lagos, most inward and outward flights, Most government agencies and parastatals, all headoffices of IOC's etc at the detriment of other parts of the South. Anybody from the SE & SS that still supports the daylight robbery that this Godforsaken ZOO embodies, really needs his or her head examined. No country built on injustice lasts eg USSR, Sudan, Czeckzlovakia, Bosnia etc. They all crumble in the end, and Nigeria will not be an exception, it happens gradually & we are already on its path!

The Aminu Kano international Airport that has since become moribund due to many factors including demand, traffic etc is still there. I have never heard any Kano man complaining of marginalization because that airport is not patronized. There are seaports at Port Harcourt and Calabar, why are you not importing your goods through them? Which policy of SW made it mandatory for IOC's to open their HQ's there? What of private banks, who forced them to locate their HQ in Lagos? And why are many Nigerian and foreign business men opening new factories, refineries in SW? Who forced them? Learn from the leaders and you can get similar results, stop hating.

You just like most of the others levelling this accusation are just evil tribal warriors with little brain power.

Anything that has to do with Lagos isn't a Yoruba affair, you should take good note of this...

Secondly, a state that generates the highest IGR in the country (302 billion in 2016) needs nothing like special status and if you can only see this from a tribal angle then I weep for the future of this country...

We are on the brink of a cataclysmic event and we can only be saved by wisdom, rational deliberations and objectivity.

Stop seeing everything from a tribal angle...

PS: After the war what efforts did Nigeria make to rebuild the SE? We all know how the RRR was hijacked and failed woefully...

You only hate what you don't understand

All the IGR you are salivating about is less than $1 Bn for a whole year, while a state like New York almost same size as Lagos in population budgets $120 Bn a year.
Yet you expect superb roads, fast rail, healthcare, education from the paltry $1 bn, who says Lagos doesn't need more help or increased IGR is really dumb

The Niger bridge Ojukwu blew up was repaired by who? from the 20 pounds or with worthless Biafran currency? The food relief after surrender and the reintegration into FG jobs such that today Imo state has the highest number of federal workers shows the rehabilitation in RRR was abandoned?
When are you going to show appreciation for anything? The Hausa that were massacred in Iboland before the war commenced have you compensated them?

I wonder whether anyone took time to study what this bill is proposing before commenting.
In the account I read it is proposing to REDISTRIBUTE a fraction of the extant allocation of the SE states and then lump same together into one common pool.
Firstly this would be unconstitutional and usurping the power of the various State Houses of Assembly in the SE.
Hope is not lost since this is something the SE can do by themselves by consensus. In practical terms it may be difficult when it comes to sharing projects and so it seems doomed from conception.
There was nothing in the proposal to allocate NEW MONEY specifically from the FG budget and that is the part that ought to concern other regions since potentially then they would lose out but the proposal in the bill was neutral fro that perspective and constitutionally is beyond the purview of the National Assembly.

The Niger Delta has the NDDC (which is quite understandable)..they've created a commission for the North east now south east wants theirs. thought they've got brains and are a developed region..nonsense!

By Henry Umoru FOR the second time in three years, the Senate, yesterday, rejected proposals to grant Lagos a special status, in view of the avalanche of socio-economic challenges it is facing as former political capital of Nigeria. The state is still the economic capital and nerve centre of the country. ADVERTISING Indeed, the Senate Chambers was thrown into a rowdy session as senators deliberated on a bill for an act to make provision for a special Federal grant to Lagos State. The Bill, titled A Bill for an Act to make provisions for Federal Grants to Lagos State in recognition of its strategic socio- economic significance and other connected purposes, was sponsored by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos Central. The said Bill was first presented to the upper chamber in the 7th Senate, but the lawmakers turned it down at the committee stage. Specifically, on June 5, 2013, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu-led Senate Ad-hoc Committee on Constitution Review, in its report, ruled out special status for Lagos. It said: “On Special Status for Lagos, while the Committee appreciates the peculiar needs and challenges of Lagos, it is our considered opinion that according such special status should be a matter of political decision, which should be kept out of the Constitution.” Yesterday, while opposing the move, Senators Gershom Bassey, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Cross River South, and Philip Tanimu Aduda, PDP, FCT, said the same provision being asked for by Senator Tinubu, be provided for Calabar, being the first Capital of Nigeria and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. Aduda, who said he would only support the bill if FCT got similar attention and special funding from the Federation Account, said: “I will support it (bill) on one condition, that what will be given to Lagos State should be given to other states like the FCT. Some special allocations should be given to FCT. The FCT is over-stretched and government needs to intervene. In the FCT, we have riverine areas.” Senator Aliyu Wamakko, APC, Sokoto North, who also kicked against the bill, said the timing was wrong because while other states are finding it difficult to pay salaries, Lagos State that was the richest state, asking for special grant, adding that if granted, it would make other states poorer and Lagos richer. The rowdy session started when Senator Olusola Adeyeye, APC, Osun Central, in his contribution and apparently referring to what Aduda said, stated that the FCT was like a pampered and spoilt child. He demanded for 13 percent derivation on tax proceeds generated from the state, arguing that one percent was too small. Senator Adeyeye’s description of the FCT as a pampered child elicited sharp and rancorous reactions from many legislators. The statement angered Senator Aduda, who immediately asked Adeyeye to withdraw the statement. Senator Aduda had the support of most senators from the Northern part of the country who stood up demanding the withdrawal of the statement. It was at that point that the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, asked Senator Adeyeye to withdraw his statement. Adeyeye withdrew the statement but then the harm had been done, given the commotion and bitterness it caused on the floor of the Senate. It was, therefore, not surprising that the senators unanimously rejected the bill when it was put to vote by Deputy Senate President, Ekweremadu, who presided over yesterday’s plenary. Senator Adeyeye, in his contribution to the debate had said: “I rise to support most of this bill and to oppose an aspect of it. The aspect I oppose is the same aspect that James Manager attempted to highlight. But in doing so, I want to point out that…I don’t even believe that one percent is enough for Lagos. I think what we need to do is to be fair to every part of this country and to say that we must not kill the goose that lays the golden egg. And we have already from Independence and subsequent alteration to the Constitution, say whatever revenue you get from oil by the principle of derivation, a certain percentage must belong to that community. “By the same token, whatever you get from VAT, a certain percentage should belong to that community. We have among us a governor, who made a law that banned the consumption of alcohol. That’s what the people want. I supported it. He has the right to make the law. However, if my own people consume alcohol and pay VAT on it, he should not take a penny of what my people have for VAT on alcohol. “In Lagos, all of us are paying tax. And all of these VAT is taken to Abuja. What we need to do is to say whatever is good for the goose is good for the gander. If it is 13 percent for Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers for oil, let it also be 13 percent to Lagos for the VAT paid there.’’ On what he meant by FCT being pampered, Adeyeye, who is the Senate Chief Whip, while withdrawing the statement and tendering an apology said: “Mr President, you led us to Washington DC on fiscal federalism. We were told that when we see federal roads in the US, it’s federal only in name. It is federal only because the Federal Government of the US provides 80 percent of the money and the state government provides 20 percent. But all of the money is given to the Federal Government on that road.”

How did they identify accounts of EASTERNERS HOW come no Ikwerre man,No Efik man no I jaw man is making this claim. Was there a decree to that effect? Tell us the number. That banks should identify Eboe accounts. ? How did they do that? The truth is Eboes left for Biafraid in a trip of no return they had no intention of returning and most emptied their accounts took the Nigeria pound and exchanged it for Biafran pounds which backfired. Those who could prove they had accounts got their money after the war. Naturally Eboes are crafty and many who never had accounts claimed to have lost the documents but eve at that those who were genuine got their money.
How come you cannot show one newspaper article whether in Nigeria or from elsewhere to show that government forcefully took Eboe money.
Lies,cheap lies.
£20 of Nigeria money in 1970 is equivalent to £300.
What was the Nigerian budget?
Awolowo whom you hate so much in addition to giving all the liars £20 which they did not deserve kept the allocation of the East Central State for 3 years and gave it to the state after the war

REMINDER of what happened when......

A Yoruba friend asked me: Under what conditions would you support "One Nigeria" and let go of the Biafra agitation and let it die down and finally laid to rest for good?
Here was my response:
1. Close down Lagos ports and Open up PH, Calabar, Onitsha and Warri ports.
2. Cancel all direct and major connecting flights to Lagos and Abuja airports only local connecting flights will be allowed. While this is being done, open up Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Uyo and PH to international flights direct and major connecting flights.
3. Ask all international and diplomatic missions to move their embassies and consulates from Lagos, Kano and Abuja to Enugu, PH and Calabar.
4. All federal governments’ agencies in Lagos and Abuja shall be relocated to Enugu, PH and Calabar. CBN, NNPC, e.t.c shall and must relocate to PH, Calabar and Enugu.
5. All multinational companies in Lagos and Abuja, shall and must relocate their offices to PH, Calabar and Enugu.
6.All oil companies must relocate their head offices to PH, as the oil capital of Nigeria.
7. Let the northern children gain admission into federal schools with 300 score points while the South Eastern Children should gain admission with only 20 score points .
8. Let all federal road projects in the North/SW should be handled by one local companies and the one in the SE/SS should be handled by Julius Berger and foreign construction companies.
If these conditions can be fulfilled and implemented for 50years , we can try one Nigeria and let see if you the North and SW will like it for a month...
Meaning, Yorubas and Hausas needing to get international visas shall travel to PH, Calabar or Enugu to do that. Same with flying or connecting flights, same with shipping and importing their goods, etc., etc.
The Yoruba friend replied: You can’t be serious, this is wickedness and I said...
Really? Don’t you think South Eastern part of Nigeria have been suffering and enduring this very same wickedness for over 50
