lestat:Lol. With you guys, there's always a conspiracy. A man aired an opinion and I responded to the the one part which tickled my fancy and then suddenly you feel like having sex with your mother? I'd proceed into a lengthy back and forth with you on this topic however, I don't reckon you've got your civil hat on today. Enjoy your turf, I'd get muddied if I tangled any further with pigs. 1 Like |

It's obvious that this man is tribalistic! All I can see is his hatred for the West! He is even trying to pinch the Igbos against the yorubas A country that needs each other needs not reason like this instead roll out ideas that would work for everyone! I am out of here! 6 Likes |

I am tired of seeing this misinformation that the south west is an ally to the north. Azikwe was an ally to the Sarduana and Tafawa Balewa. Ekwueme was an ally and VP to Shagari. In 1999, 2003 and 2007, the South East voted totally for the PDP, a northern party even ahead of Ojukwu and Orji Uzor Kalu. Meanwhile, the South West has been on the opposition for most of Nigeria's political history. This is the first time they ally with the north and even so, Jonathan won a state in the South West. Even though we know the article is aimed at divide and rule. I think there is nothing to divide between yorubas and Igbo, we have nothing in common with yorubas and still hold them responsible for killing millions of our people and still spit on their graves by calling them 'Biafraudd' till today. So Yakasai should not sweat it, if he even comes out tommorow for presidency, yorubas will vote him against a Soludo or Ngozi so there is nothing to divide. The centre can no longer hold btw yoruba and Igbo politically. That is settled Where I am more concern about is his failed attempt to knock the heads of Igbo and ND together in his bid to kill the Biafran agitation because the north needs nigeria more than the rest. If they need a seaport, the yoruba muslims can help them achieve that in the SW, if they need oil, yorubas say they have oil and very sure the yoru-muslims will be happy to share with them when the troublesome Biafrans goes. So yakasai should entertain no fear, yoru-muslims got you covered in a nigeria without Biafrans. You may also move your capital to your shared Kwara after the Biafra exodus. 20 Likes 3 Shares |

YelloweWest: You no dey shame?!. So if they ask you what tribe in Nigeria you are from, you will say "Niger Delta". Which tribe is that. Anyway to the topic, Tanko Yakassi has some very valid points here. The Biafra I wanted and even fought for as a boy scout was the Old Biafra. That, comprised of the entire Eastern rergion. Count me out of any Biafra that is made up of only the 5 SE states. Heavy Igbo investments and commitments in Lagos and Abuja is the main reason the 'new Biafra' will not be achieved. Besides, it would be a landlocked, dry country. 3 Likes |

When our parents told us that Yorubas are the most untrustworthy people on earth, we thought they were joking. I have invested in property in both Lagos and Ogun state and had the misfortune to deal with the worst of humans. Some will collect payment for work and deny the next day or disappear and resurface after 2 weeks and ask for payment again. Not once or twice, many times, both old and young. 5 Likes |

By nature, the Yoruba man likes the Hausa man more than the Igbo man and the Igbo man likes the Hausa man more than the Yoruba man, yet the Yoruba are now trying to convince the Igbo to forget aganist the Hausa To all those yorubas supporting this man as usual ,here is a part of his statement that shows how treacherous the Yoruba people can be. 4 Likes |

einsteine: Thanks a lot for this astute observation. Yorubas have ALWAYS been the opposition. Igbos are always willing slaves of Hausa who use and dump them like excreta-soiled tissue paper. Niger delta people don't want any part of their Biafra. .. Igbos are a problem to themselves. No one likes them even themselves. They didn't even vote for Ojukwu while he was alive. I remember Ojo Maduekwe, one of their heroes saying "any Igbo man who wants to be President is insane" when Ekwueme was contesting against OBJ for PDP ticket. 9 Likes |

First, the goods cannot be sold, there will be no production and there will be unemployment, and the people that are employed in industries located in the South-West are largely Yoruba. The day there is no Nigeria, there will be massive unemployment in the South-West. This is apart from the food and livestock they are getting from the North. If there is no Nigeria, they will not get them, and if they are going to import, it will take time and will be costly. By nature, they cannot grow livestock and some food items in their area. The geographical situation in South-West is different from that of the North; the animals they are growing do not enough meat and milk, unlike the ones in the North. This man just confirmed the fears of Emir Sanusi, the north would be the most disadvantaged, if Nigeria divides. Basically, the north have nothing other than their population. This's why they should stop building mosques and start building schools. But, he need not worry about the Igbos. If Nigeria divides, trade and transportation would of course continue across borders. The luxury buses he mentioned are already going to Benin republic, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, all international!. What makes him think transportation would stop being international, if Nigeria divides? As long as there's "demand" for each others goods and services, they'll continue to be supply from neighbors who can fill them. 11 Likes |
