I understand were u r coming from and I echo ur sentiments. I want u to also understand were ibos are coming from and why they r sentimental to this thread.

The Ibo has known for years that the ND's are betrayals especially akwa-ibom, and it was because of them that Nigerians surrounded the Biafrans from our own backyard which led to the surrendering. At least my dad who was an ex soldier couldn't be biased when he told me one of his war stories back in the day.

Secondly, Ibos also know that Yorubas are 'snakes', sorry to use that word. They cannot be trusted and Ibo know this for years now and learned the hard way. They are even one of the reason why Biafra was declared.

So please forgive the Ibos for being sentimental on this thread. They are just surprised that a Northerner whom has always been known for their lies could come out and speak the truth.

And make no mistake, while most of the things he said is true, many of his assertion are also serious lies and can only mean deception. How can one say Igbos like Hausa? That is a lie from the pit of hell. I mean Igbos are not Yoruba that hide their feels. We make our feelings known.

Buhari was so surprised that he didnt get 1% votes from Igbos. anyi anachi
Yes everybody betrays an igbo man while he is the only one that is meek. See yoruba and the niger deltan people never agreed to any terms with the igbos. You can keep crying betrayal all over the the place but nobody feel sorry for you

Why cant this old men that ruined Nigeria just shut up.....Just see what he is trying to do.....

From what he has said....the North needs Nigeria,
He is insinuating also that half the population of Nigeria is Northerners, big census lie

Now he is trying to pit Igbos against Yoruba's , saying they are not to be trusted and that they are the problem.

THIS MAN IS DEVILISH

Don't mind the old criminal. The southern friendship stretches across the Niger. Politically from history, the igbos are proud of people like Adeniran Ogunsanya, Adegoke Adelabu, Fajuyi etc. The war and Hausa manipulation was what tried to divide us. Let's watch.
Which southern friendship?
If the SW had their way, they would perpetuate themselves in power by allying with the north forever.

Technically from Delta state, i am a southern minority.

Abooki will always pretend to love southern minorities. Okay if you mean what you have said, let us restructure so that the people will have their oil to develop their polluted creeks. The same abookis will say NO. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Your deceitful divide and rule stale fairy tales has failed. grin grin grin grin grin

The moment of truth is coming for Nigeria.

I dont get statements like this you think south-south are fighting for resource control so that they can get it from Nigeria and hand to igbo?

That is why the agitation for biafra is so meaningless cos Nigeria does not critically need anything from the predominantly igbo parts. The igbo man gets more from being a part of Nigeria that if they are restricted only to the mainly igbo speaking areas.

Do the igbos contribute their human resources to Nigeria? Absolutely. What is the benefit to the igbo man when you dont have access to the market. Reminds of old China without access to the world market nobody heard of them.

Me I no say anybody should not have right to self determination make all states and region just have the right to choose in a peaceful referendum.

It's obvious that if nigeria divides today, 70% of the northerners will die of poverty, all kinds of diseases and painful misery. Other regions will survive without nigeria. People won't have to go back to their region. Each region will just have to set up rules guiding their new country. You want to live in the south East and you are not from the region, you get a visa, and same will apply to all other regions. Businesses will continue if they wish to and anybody who wishes to move his or her businesses back to their region can do so. It will even make more sense as each region cum country will have their own army and will be able to defend themselves against intruders like the useless and senile boko haram and herdsmen. We won't have a situation where the senseless aboki.s would always want to cover up for their Fulani brothers going about killing people anyhow. We won't have a situation where anybody is being accused of nepotism or cronyism. If things don't go well in your country, you know your tribes man is responsible and won't put the blame on other people not from your region. If a region doesn't develop, there will be no excuse that anybody is holding them down.

Though the whole thing looks difficult considering the fact that you'll need to set up a new military, currency, allies and the rest, I believe it will solve the problems of tribalism. If the country doesn't divide, then we gotta go back to zoning. Every phucking region must rule the country and for four years only, no second term. SW, SS, SE and th North. Power must rotate a appointments balanced across all regions. Anything aside this make the whole country pafuka make everybody find their way. There is certainly no love in the minds of many Nigerians

As usual some Igbo kids are dancing because of some stupid statements of a lunatic Northern jingoists, that is merely playing on their emotions.

The question the reporter should have asked him is Why is he against restructuring?

the sole reason they are preventing the disintegration of the country is because they do not have access to the sea. Funny. Does Ethiopia and Switzerland have access to the sea?

They need the South for technical know-how!!!! How daft can this man be. Southerners are going to school and they are busy building mosques, marrying girls at tender age and promoting poverty in their region and he is not even ashamed to state it they need the south for skillful manpower, after 50years of independence and several years of leading the country

See the way he tactically avoided dissecting the North but rather used words to dissect South into different regions.

Why is it that the Fulanis are the only ones ruling the North politically and monarchically, whereas they use Hausas and other tribes in the North for population advantage?

Please why did he avoid calling their killing vampire machine herdsmen trouble makers which have been sowing sorrow tears N blood wherever they step?

Yes, he called the Yorubas trouble makers because he realise we are the only one that has what can be used to locked them down. We demystified their Northern Oligarchy and dismantled it for them with pen and paper, we locked down the country with pen and paper we sent the military packing with pen and paper. They have our fear in their hearts and we do not care.

Access to the sea. . . Sorry they have to live with the way Niger, Chad, etc are doing. For Petroleum my prayer is that God makes it possible for them. But how did we cope up with this trash all these years?

This thread is new, not even half a page yet and Ibos are already racing off Yakasai's comment to spew hatred. For once, listen to what the man said in this interview, you are behaving in exact pattern the interview was scripted to influence your emotions. Is he god? What makes you believe that these things he said about Yoruba and Akwa Ibom and Cross River people against you are true? Why is he not talking about the various ways in which North has betrayed Ibo or as Sultan of Sokoto recently admitted, "they killed Ibo in North necause they invaded their communities and set up trades and became affluent".

Do not surrender your emotions to his words, stay strong and wave him off. This article does nothing to subtract or add to your struggle, Yakassai cannot move biafra forward or ret.ard your progress. So why respond with hatred to those who you truly need to aid your mission.

This time around make it mission accomplished, not mission impossible!

I love you sir!

The future is buried in the past.

Why were we brought together into one country, Nigeria?
Why do some people want to regroup into another country, Biafra?

The amalgamation was to solve problems then, which succeeded and created new ones which Biafra thinks to solve by breaking up Nigeria.

Have we thought of the solutions to the problems breaking up Nigeria would leave in its wake?

It will be nothing compared with what amalgamation foisted on us. Moreover groups can decide to come together on their own terms.

Even though, this mans account of events is a bit suspect, I feel vindicated as regards my call all along for extreme caution in the addition of other tribes in the call for Biafra / Biafran map. You can't "FORCE" people to join your movement.
Igbos can pull this off on their own, albeit with the help of some non-Igbos . . . . Incentives is key, in this game.

This also highlights the major reason Igbos find it difficult to trust Yorubas and always see them as traitors when it come to Nigerian politics. Very honest interview, well said and clearly defined without bias, stay blessed sirsmiley

The Igbo believed in him and Ojukwu told all the Igbo to go back to their respective areas. At that time, the Igbo were holding various positions in government, but they all left. When they came back after the civil war, they found that the Yoruba had occupied their positions, and till today, they have not regained such positions, and they will never regain them...

you are not wise.

The Igbo, unfortunately, are lacking in diplomacy. This is the weakness of the Igbo and that is what the Yoruba are capitalising on to manipulate their way of thinking. During the first declaration of Biafra, it was a public knowledge that when Gowon sent Awolowo to persuade Ojukwu not to embark on secession, they met on the River Niger bridge and discussed. Later on, the media said that according to unofficial report, Awolowo assured Ojukwu that if they seceded, the West would also secede. When he came out, he declared publicly that if by any act of commission or omission the East was allowed to go, the West would follow. This is the public announcement he made and the record is there, which means the West would also secede from the rest of Nigeria. The Igbo believed in him and Ojukwu told all the Igbo to go back to their respective areas.

where is the betrayal? he was sent to persuade ojukwu not to declare Biafra which ojukwu declined. then he came back and to the world that if Biafra is ALLOWED to secede, the West would secede.

now this is a conditional statement which igbos are too dull to grab. was Biafra ALLOWED told secede and Awolowo failed to secede?

now answer that.
