That groom is not a Nigeria Policeman, he must be a citizen to have joined one of the many American police departments, to confirm check out his ceremonial dress and even the cap badge that is enough to tell any observant person the true situation.

In civilized societies to commit fraud isn't an issue but how and where to spend the money is the reason they don't border. But in Nigeria, the amount of fraud determines how you will be celebrated by all.

I believe anyone who can afford it should host their events at choice destinations. However, I also believe that there have been an upsurge in crime and criminology because of acts of show off like this (it might not be a deliberate act of show off).

Like I earlier said, "anyone who can afford it". But the question is,

1. How can a public servant with the basic salary structure that we know host such a flamboyant party without support from
(a) Politicians,
(b) Businessmen with vested interest,
(c) Colleagues of lower rank seeking favours and trying to curry undue advantage.

2. What examples are our " fathers" setting for us their children?.

3. As the Commissioner of police in Lagos state, would it not have been better doing it at home? Many might want to ask, if Lagos is safe why did they go abroad?.

4. Who are the sponsors of the wedding etc.



This is not an attack on the CoP but to every other Nigerian who made it in Nigeria and decided to party, shop, school and seek medical aid abroad. You are the real reason the society will always have the likes of Evans to deal with.

Anyone who thinks corruption started with Jonathan was either born during Jonathan's era or just plain brain dead. Corruption has been part and parcel of Nigeria since independence. It was bad but got worse under OBJ. He is the one that really kicked it up to a whole new level.

Bloggers in Nigeria are so useless.The groom is even nothing near a Policeman.He is in the US military.The bride and her siblings lives in Houston TX with their mum Mrs Owoseni. It is normal for the Police commissioner to fly in for his daughter's wedding from Nigeria.Some dumb people are already talking about corruption for normal wedding that we see almost every weekend here.Don't ask me how I know all these.I know the family very well.
