Same thing happened to me

I gave my mechanic 58k to help replace my shock-absorber,went to work,and by the time I came back,my money was returned intact,he had removed the absorber one after the other,checked and confirmed they were all okay,therefore no need to change any.I used the absorber subsequently for close to 18months before I ever changed 2 out of it.Since then,no one touches my car to repair if not Mr Wole-Edo lodge Junction, Oke Ijebu-Akure.Ondo state.

My worst experience with a panel beater... I went to baba kabiru work shop to panel beat the a part of the silencer underneath the engine. I was there looking at him and his son getting the job going. Suddenly, I saw heavy smoke coming out from the engine... Next thing I hear, Kabiru.. Kabiru, Engine ti mu Ina. Engine tin jo...Da omi ati omo si. (Meaning. Kabiru kabiru.. The engine is on fire.... The engine is burning.. Pour some water and Detergents )... That was what baba kabiru said from under the car.

My mechanic will fixed one problem and destroy another part.. na fight we take separate... Some mechanics used charm to charm dere customers.

Instead of lamenting here why can't you guys visit my mechanic for ur peace of mind. I hate to complain. He is the best in the whole of Nigeria.

Hmmm .....nice to hear that...unfortunately mechanics like that are scarce

Firstly, i realised whenever i step on the clutch too much d engine goes off so i took it to oga sura on break he charged me high and no changes i end up servicing d car still no changes until one mechanic said maybe is fuse and he changed it. Dnt kniw d magic buh the car went perfect.

Secondly, I was travelling from my town iseyin oyo state to my church camp meeting in Ogun state I took he car for servicing a day before and I was told the jasket or smfin is faulty not only that he also said the fan belt z worn out etc. Although the car was fine wen I took it there and afterwards the nigga asked for 15k to buy somethings, fix the fan and put the car in perfect condition the mumu I am agreed considering the risk. Only for me to reach ado awaye like 2km and the car started jerking heavily I risked it to Maya found a mechanic there and he collected just 200 naira to put the car in perfect condition. Immediately after d camp meeting I went for in igbesa as I reached home. Oga sura no go forget wetin I do am. He nearly carried on

nothing, sat there silent all through till I got home... tho the man is older than I am and had been nice in the past. I just excused him from the girls and gave him a stern warning if anything goes wrong with the car he will rot.. well I'm the patient type..

Terrible.

The mechanic came to pick the car early that morning for repairs and returned it later in the evening.

I drove out the following morning only for the car to burst into flames on high speed. How I managed to pull the car to a stop is still a mistery till this moment.

Unfortunately, damage was extensive and had to sell it as scrap.

The disappointing part of it is that I informed the mechanic immediately after the incidence, up till this moment he has not called back to show the smallest of empathy.

Terrible experience I must say.

He was to replace 6 plugs and after the work, he only connected 5 coils wires, ommited one. I used it for days b4 noticing..similarly, he was to reconnect my fuel pump returning pipe but ended up connecting a holse to a closed nozzle pipe unknowingly, told me he has finished the work and take his pay.. A rewire man noticed it after some days.. He got red card for his catastrophy services..

when I drive with the AC on, the car will be going off especially in traffic so I took it to to baba ibeji and the Damn mechanic blew my car brain box....its been almost 5 yrs now and the car is still parked here although I drove the car for another 2 yrs without a good brain box because we Cldnt find any other brain box to match it

Ac not working trace it was fuse. Tell the mechanic to get fuse when i came to pick the car he said everything is fixed naso i start ignition switch on ac kaboom smoke started coming out from bonnet.he did not buy the fuse rather used some wire to join the bad fuse. The idiot burnt my compressor have to spend 45k to buy another compressor.

You were supposed to let the car idle for about 5 minutes without touching the gas pedal. The ECU will recalibrate itself.

My mechanic forgot to tighten my upper arm properly after a replacement.
Right front wheel collapsed in motion luckily when I slowed down after high speed driving.

we got new car when the problem of the old car became a regular thing, the mechanic said we should leave it in his work shop that he would sell it "one time " that the car was a "hot cake" cos it had p value, hubby had so much trust in him so he left the car for the mechanic, one month later we called him and he said very soon he will sell it, and if hubby wants him to sell it "today today " he should remove 100k, hubby said OK.

after one week we decided to give the guy a surprise visit, the mechanic lied that a buyer took it out for a test, unfortunately in less than 5 mins his wife drove in, he had converted the car to his,
. in fact his wife was learning with it, cos there was a big "L" sign on the car, it also had a "baby on board sign " on both side of the glass.

to cut a long story short, he lied to his wife he bought the car , meanwhile he never put the car on sale,.

next time you remove ur battery..after you connect it. start the car and allow it to idle for 7 to 1omins..make sure ac and all electrical loads are off, ur rpm will gradually come down and settle at the sweet point. end of story!, you wont hv brake and quench again, other than that it takes between 60 to 90miles for the ecm to relearn the idle parameters, wch is what happened when you went on a long highway trip !@ asaba
