You guys are not even including Lingard in your calculation meanwhile Jose keep playing him. I watched yesterday match full 90 minutes again, the guy really did well, even the previous two games. His workrate is excellent, he makes himself available to receive the ball from teammates quickly, helps the defence and he is a serious minded player, no wonder Mourinho likes him. NB: I am not his fan at all.

Lindelof has looked shaky so far, although it's only a preseason but he has to prove himself.

Mikhi has this second season flourish in him, it was the same at Dortmund.

As much as I like that Martial so much, he has lost some sharpness, if he doesn't put in a shift this season, then no one should blackmail mourinho into playing him undeservedly.everybody in the team are playing out their hearts to stake a claim to first team football, especially his mates like Rashford,TFM, Pereira, and Lingard, so if he can't roll up his sleeves and work he should be moved on.

I actually understand Nihilist's points with regards to Lukaku. Take nothing away from him, he is a good striker with impressive numbers but he lacks the technical ability to play for a tier 1 club.

For tier 2 clubs and below , goals are very important but when u start looking towards tier 1, ability to hold up play, beat defenders and pass the ball effectively are important.

Why were top clubs bidding for him immediately he was sacked.
Benitez, Rijkaard, are some of the top coaches that had been sacked before, we know where they are afterwards.
It doesn't matter where they finish in the league.
They will be assessed first, based on how many trophies they win, then how far they proceed in each competition.
This is what is worth sticking neck out for.

I've vilified Woodward in the past, but he's been trying his best this season. Even Mourinho admitted that Ed is not finding it easy to get the players he want. Do you know that clubs are trying to maga us? Any player we go for they quote obscene amount for him. Jesse Lingard has more than Auditioned his heart out for a part in the squad, I think everyone already acknowledges that, they just too proud to admit it but martial can do no wrong in my eyes even if he's Flopping and missing open goals I still believe in his mad potential just like Ballotelli.
