Lool, im just citing gombe as an example. All im saying is federal charachter will play a big role in this recruitment
DPRmoniker:

Yeah, that's true . . . though Gombe people may not find your post funny.

The profiles now do not have local govt of origin, except someone that put it in his/her CV (and only the EH have their CVs on board).
Meanwhile, Elect/Elect Engr'g dominate in the list by simple majority anyway. I don't know why but it may not be unconnected with the roles within DPR.

2. Selection for the next stage is not just that straightforward. An applicant for 'chemical engineer' position from Akwa Ibom State may have scored 49 but will not be selected because some chemical engineers from other states scored higher and meet other 'fit-for-purpose' attributes, instead a candidate for 'biochemist' position who scored 45 from the same Akwa Ibom will make the list because he/she scored more that some other Biochemists from other states. I hope this is clear enough. This is just an example.

3: 'Fit-for-purpose' attributes: Let's use two candidates for the illustration. (i) Candidate A, a fresh Mech Engr graduate of 2015, scored 48%; (ii) Candidate B, Mech. Engr., 4 years experience in inspection/pipeline, 2 professional certifications, score 46%.
Even though candidate A is higher in Snapnet ranking, candidate B will make list before A. This is because the experience exactly matches DPR functions. Professional certifications and postgraduate degrees are advantage (they still have all those profiles/CVs). Again, this is an example.

uscofield:

Falacy, not fit to be posted, completely nude assumptions with water being poured into a basket.
Your post is contrary to the quota system of this country.
Check the "BOLDED" in your post and make amendment. If going by your post makes any sense (bolded), then some northern states will not have a candidate for the next stage (apologies to those from the north).
A candidate's selection from a state has completely nothing to do with another candidate's selection from another state.
If 40 candidates (GT and EH) are needed for the next stage from a state, it can never be altered because some candidates from another state scored (irrespective of the course of study) higher. 40 for state A is 40, same goes for state B etc.

@Uscofield,
I think you misconstrued the submissions made by @DPRmoniker.

Federal character still holds from his analyses, since all states cannot be accommodated in each work unit, one might find that some specializations are given priority over others as in the case of the Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry example.

I also think it's not as straightforward as one might assume.

Fact remains that DPR as an organisation has discretion to do all approved permutations as they deem fit.

Just Donelli wink

Seeing the test score wasn't really a big deal for a few that have friends or family working with the consultant (Snapnet or so). The thing is that such a few wouldn't come to online forums and be screaming with such excitement. Therefore, that poster didn't get to know any test score.

To the DPR thing and next stage criteria:

1. Snapnet have submitted the results ranked according to states of origin, according to discipline applied for, and according to category (EH or GT) in both hard copies and soft copies. That was done weeks ago, under supervision of DPR representatives.

4. Females must make up a certain percentage (both in the next stage and the eventual employment).

5. Even DPR may not be sure of when they will call successful candidates for the next stage. It's a government agency with their bureaucratic processes and procedures, so don't be surprised that the HR Director cannot categorically say when the next step will commence. Files must be passed and minuted on, and approvals must be made.

DPRmoniker dnt know you but I believe you. Your analysis are intelligent

Mmmmmm the truth is that d information posted here r speculative. Dpr operates like a company under d f.g, so a handful will get it on merit (based on degree grade, exam score n other factors). Others will get it using other factors. Merit n federal character will be used. Just relax n pray.

I've followed your write-up, and you seem to have points.
But then, highlight more on the bolded.

You just made me laugh . . . I am surprised that all the "something else" you have been busy doing couldn't even add up to fund your MSc in a European country (including Germany that tuition is mostly free), to the extent that you are asking for sponsorship in 'sugar daddy' threads.

Anyway, if you had up to 4.0/5 CGPA or close to that, try and send me a P.M. Something could be worked out for France, Switzerland or Germany (those are the places I'm familiar with). But I cannot guarantee for this session starting September/October 2017 because it's too close already.

In the meantime, www.daad.de and www.campusfrance.org have a range of study/funding options that you could explore.

What if i told you all that you are wasting your time posting cgpa here.. if your people or your well wishers can't sponsor you, it will take more than a 5.00 CGPA for a total stranger to sponsor u individually.
