It is your business. You guys hate the truth so you are going to suffer a slow painful death as a country. These are nations with vision. Who do you choose to leads yours. They say restructure you say no. The militants wants you off their oil you say no. They say diversify you say increase oil production. They say your economic policies are failed you say the economy is tight because oil prices are low. Almost every country I know bordering on the ocean is discovering oil offshore. With global warming the artic is opening for the biggest oil finds in history and the Russians are hellbent on exploring it. The result in decades to come is unprecedented oil production facing a surging electric economy. The big industrial powers of Asia namely Japan, China and Korea have no oil so they will gladly tune their industrial capacity away from oil leaving only Africa and the middle-east in a quandary and the social upheavals in those regions will set the stage for the wars to end the world. It doesn't take a genius to see this coming a long way out.

After all the damage oil has done to our country? What would it have been like if oil had never been discovered? I am sure Nigeria would have been a whole lot more saner. No oil polutions and agitations in the N/Delta,no lazy states going cap in hand to ABJ,no oil majors screwing us up. No nothing... I wish this curse was never discovered. Who the hell invited Shell D'Arcy here in '37? That ruined a whole country.

But it is a step in the right direction in the sense that Nigeria, in the last 57 years have refused to diversified their economy.
The only language the country understand is how to drill crude oil and sell. We don't even have a functional refinery, no factory, no electricity, we don't even produce tooth pick, and we will start producing pencil by the year 2020.

So this is a good news, from 2025, just 8 years from now, we will start drinking our crude oil.

Everything is fundamentally wrong with this country and guess what?
Lorrita Onochie will be somewhere reading this post and thinking that I'm crossing the National red line instead of advising her principal.

@shervydman Seriously man,I weep. Imagine what happened when my grandfather's rubber plantation could fetch him nothing more because black gold had taken over the government's senses. It destroyed every bloody thing for us. Just imagine what it would have been like here without damned black gold.
