Dear @Lexusgs430

1)Please am a little confused about applicants after biometrics send have to send original supporting document to Sheffield UK. What i saw on TLS website is that all supporting document will be scanned to UKVI.

2)My bank statement cannot meet up with the maintenance cost but is it sufficient if i use my workplace cooperative society statement with sufficient statement together with my partners COS and the employer ticked "Y" for both her maintenance and dependant.

I need guidance on this.

(1) You only submit your passport and receipt of payment in Lagos (assuming that is your local office). In some cases about 3 or 4 documents are usually requested in Lagos (marriage certificate, ielts certificate, biodata page of sponsor)

The other documents gets submitted in the UK (Sheffield). Real original documents ......... Not scanned copies .......

We are travelling together, her employer gave her a Certificate of sponsorship with earning worth 32,000 pounds with 1 month accommodation sorted. on the certificate of sponsorship the employer marked YES to help cater for the maintenance cost.

Your salary equates to about £5200 annually (Does not play much role in the application) . If your sponsor earns about or above the threshold.

Amount in savings is also just over £1000.......

Have you considered your partner solely travelling, to give both of you a softer landing ?

My personal advice, would be easier for her to travel first. Gets all sorted and you join her in about 10/12 months time ......... She can still visit in the interim periods (to ensure ekeate is not setting light to your wood)...........

For EEA family permit (which is a 6month multiple-entry permit) originals will be scanned during your biometrics but for settlement visa you'll be required to send your originals to the homeoffice in Sheffield.

You don't want to get to the UK together and start having accommodation issues. That month housing she is been offered gives her time to sort out something temporary....

Renting in the private sector is not cheap, could cost between £900 - £1300 per month............

Most of the discussion is on visiting visa, i think i asked a ? on that thread and i was directed to this thread. Seems there is no thread for skilled worker migration to Uk.
