I can imagine it was the same way Joseph in the Bible ran no? Lol...

I understand thee oh Good padawan... just stay true to the first lady and you shall yet win her heart for good... wink

But truly even over the weekend, Libero808's entrance was the reason Sir Joebie had a little brain-info-processing temp. stop/disrupt for few seconds.... wink I think he was thinking about his libero.... smiley

Take not of the bolded. CHAN and WAFU could fall into that category.

Men's Ranking Procedure

The basic logic of these calculations is simple: any team that does well in world football wins points which enable it to climb the world ranking.

A team’s total number of points over a four-year period is determined by adding:

The average number of points gained from matches during the past 12 months; and
The average number of points gained from matches older than 12 months (depreciates yearly).

Calculation of points for a single match

The number of points that can be won in a match depends on the following factors:

Was the match won or drawn? (M)
How important was the match (ranging from a friendly match to a FIFA World Cup™ match)? (I)How strong was the opposing team in terms of ranking position and the confederation to which they belong? (T and C)

These factors are brought together in the following formula to ascertain the total number of points (P):

P = M x I x T x C

The following criteria apply to the calculation of points:

M: Points for match result

Teams gain 3 points for a victory, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a defeat. In a penalty shoot-out, the winning team gains 2 points and the losing team gains 1 point.

I: Importance of match

Friendly match (including small competitions): I = 1.0

FIFA World Cup™ qualifier or confederation-level qualifier: I = 2.5

Confederation-level final competition or FIFA Confederations Cup: I = 3.0

FIFA World Cup™ final competition: I = 4.0

http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/procedure/men.html

Meaning that each CHAN game is equivalent to each of those grade A friendlies. Then 4 to 5 CHAN matches are equivalent to 4 to 5 grade A friendlies. IE it is a cumulative of 4 to 5 points. You know the cumulative effect that will have on the overall ranking.

Mind you in preparation for the world cup top teams don't fancy friendlies with teams ranked too low. In fact some don't even play teams ranked below 50. If we can boost our ranking we will be more attractive to top teams.

The Benin 1-0 lose is already written on the table for us.
Contrary to our expectations Nigeria will be losing basis points for September rankings. Our position is not expected to change much. We are only overtaking Cameroon on the CAF table.

Because Nigeria without foreign based stars are on the same level as other west african countries.

football is nor run by sentiments. You will lose if you decide to play sentimental cards and take an injury-prone player, wetin concern society and physically challenged people here?

You're either fit or not. I would rather we take Sone Aluko to the world cup than Joel Obi if we are talking classy midfielders. At least you're sure Sone won't get injured easily.

Sone Aluko is even better than Joel Obi,or they're at the same level.

Zambia can shock Nigeria in Uyo, says coach Wedson Nyirenda

Samuel Ahmadu

Correspondent

The gaffer is delighted with his side's double over Algeria in the race to Russia 2018, and feels they can upset Gernot Rohr's men in Uyo

Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda believes his side can secure maximum points against Nigeria in next month's 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier in Uyo.

Chipolopolo completed back to back wins over Algeria to climb to the second spot with seven points in Group B.

And the gaffer insists they inch closer to their Russia 2018 dreams as he has shifted focus on conquering the Super Eagles who need a win to earn a qualification ticket.

“We managed to grab the six points. The team has done very well. We are getting closer to the dream,” Nyirenda told Caf website.

“The north Africans are not an easy side but the boys went on and fought for the six points. We will now focus on Nigeria. They are a good team and will desperately want a win.

“I have a big team that can pick a win [against Nigeria] and that is what I'm planning for."
