This is the first look of the front cover of the much
talked about book, On a Platter of Gold – How
Jonathan Won and Lost Nigeria, by the National
Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress
(APC), Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.

The book generated huge attention last week when it
was revealed that it would be released in October,
prompting some commentators to conclude it would
be an exposure of the Goodluck Jonathan
administration.

Mallam Abdullahi served under the Jonathan
administration for about three years and the
expectation is that he would have inside details about
the administration.

According to the press statement announcing the
book last week: On a Platter of Gold is part history,
part political thriller, which answers many of the
often-asked questions about Jonathan’s incredible
rise to the highest political office in the land and his
unprecedented electoral defeat in 2015.’’

The title of the book has also led many to suggest
that it would not be complimentary to the former
President who fortuitously rose to power in 2010
after the death of President Umaru Yar' Adua. In
reality however, the title of the book may have been
inspired by the former First Lady, Dame Patience
Jonathan herself.

While clarifying her rift with former Rivers State
Governor Rotimi Amaechi, in 2013, Mrs. Jonathan
stated that the Jonathan presidency was an
opportunity that fell to the South-South on a platter
of gold.

“The presidency is an opportunity that fell unto us on
a platter of gold. We shouldn’t throw it away. We have
had people that contested from this region but didn’t
win. We didn’t fight, we didn’t pay. God willed it to us
so we shouldn’t use politics to fight one another or
destroy our kingdom”, Mrs. Jonathan had declared.
Now Libers are the first to view the front cover!

You may be correct on the highlighted. But I cannot be harsh on GEJ. He is a nice person. Unfortunately we are not looking for niceness but competency. Besides, using GEJ as basis for assessing PMB government means that we are not expecting much. It is easy to be better than GEJ.

This dude better be carefull, he should study these events closely instead

Obama worked against Jonathan in 2015, the following year he lost a very important election to Donald Trump.

David Cameron worked against Jonathan same year he was forced to resign as British PM

Amaechi cannot enter porthrcourt today without at least 20 soldiers armed to the teeth

Buhari tried it today he is running the most useless govt in the history of Nigeria

Do you even know that Dino Melaye once challenged jonathan? That is why he is battling to retain his seat today

DO you have a teacher in the History of Events.

Better still, check your highlight points against some records available in google.com

Note: I do not have anything sooo bad against the person of GEJ. Every mother s got'tem

Then why isn't Bolaji Abdullahi, a member of the APC writing about 'your best President' Buhari, who is their party's national leader? Why is he still stuck on GEJ?

You people will deny all you can, but one day, y'all shall confess that the pretence is over and GEJ is the best.

GEJ presidency might have made some mistakes here and there but I'm sure it is better than BUHARI-presidency characterized by political and ethnic marginalization and intimidation, propaganda and hate speeche, a govt that has been around for more than 2yrs but cannot take responsibility for their poor governance instead they blame the past government, a government that specializes in RELOOTING looted funds from the looters, largest budget in the country's history yet no achievement.... This government will go down in history as the worst ever

No matter the mud u try to pour o GEJ, u can't take his shine away. Focus on your Buhari and leave Jonathan that left office since 2015 alone. This Bolaji Abdullahi no get shame at all. He had to come up with this just to maintain his relevance in this administration.
