Hello House,

Can anyone please confirm if they have submitted an application with the rates on the day of submission higher than what you started your 28-day count with?

i.e have you applied with the amount in your account dropped below the minimum required?

@bane001... well av been following this thread for months now and I have read and digested all the posts here at present and in the years past... I really must give kudos to just wise and other gurus here... as for you question, I will state explicitly that never should you attempt to make a visa application when your maintenance funds has fallen below the funds required regardless of the fact that you had the required amount on the start date... I noticed that just wise has said it over and over again that it wouldn't pose a problem for an applicant so far he has the required funds from day one but that isn't actually true cos those ECO follow the rules stringently... it's not just wise fault to assume his position as that regards cos I carefully noticed he adds that he hasn't seen any person rejected on the basis of fluctuations of the Oanda rate and this is basically because people that got their visa refused based on these issue never bother to come back to this thread and drop their feedback so as to prevent other people from making such mistakes. Rather they lick their wounds and maintain a sense of silence as other people go down the drain. I took the pain to sign up so as to address this issue and prevent a lot of people from towing this path as I am a fresh victim.. I had way more than the funds required when I started my 28days count however the surge in Oanda rate in early August made it fall below the required funds by 100pounds and I got a refusal based on that... the pain of wasting my application fee and priority fee is nothing compared to the feeling of losing a whole calendar year because of an avoidable mistake... to add more salt to injury, the fact that i'll have to state in all my future visa applications that have had a previous refusal is appaling... he who has ears let them ear... congrats to all that had a successful visa application. better luck for is dat got refusal next time

Whoa, did you appeal this? I do understand that they follow their guidlines to the last letter but I think you should appeal this decision. I strongly believe you should. My friend had the same issue; she's about to send in an appeal application.

It is a sad circumstance but you've got to be strong. My application was refused because my Tuberculosis Test Certificate wasn't from the approved center. Had I know there are approved centers, I'll carry out the test there.

Guys on studies in the UK can start exploring recruitment opportunies while you go on your normal classes. Don't wait till you finish before applying for jobs.

I do not believe that, not even a single person since 2009? They all had a meeting and decided to keep quiet? Your case is the first and you shouldn't use it to generalize.

I still maintain that one can not keep on topping up maintenance money each time exchange rate goes up.

Well, my write up is just a fora to help would be applicants in such situation. I strongly believe prevention is better than cure. If you believe I'm the first that would get rejected based on that then I concur... but note that @bane001 also said he knows someone that got a refusal based on that...

Hi Experts in the Forum,

@justwise: sent you an email. Please check

What are the chances of getting a visa granted after refusal and applying for a walk-in appointment for Super Priority as the school resumes very soon and admin review could take time.

Refusal ground: no specifics on difference between previous study and the new course.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Yes I know, and stated the difference, I even broke it down to simple terms so the interviewer could understand. I had a telephone interview and the line was so bad that the interviewer called back almost 6 times.

I thought there was no interview. Was it Skype I.e face to face?

I am just worried and doing this is a lot of money.plus I have little time. What the ECO says why didn't I explain this way before now, like I just went to do my research. GOD FORBID ANOTHER REFUSAL.

Plus it's another masters but it is a progression and more advanced as I do not have sufficient funds now for a PhD now.

What do you think?

if your reasons was based on funds, you can re-apply then use super priority after correcting the reason.

When did you make your application and did you pay for priority. Within 24-48 hours. Could even be the same day.
