Gospel Question on Career

What is the difference and similarities between being an oil tycoon and a gospel tycoon?

Though being an oil tycoon is lucrative (Luke 12:15), but which among both do you think is more profitable?

Some Scriptural References:

Luke 16:11 KJV
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

Philippians 4:19 KJV
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Possible Answer

Oil tycoons may trust in the oil in the oil reserve, but the gospel tycoons trust in the name of the Lord (Psalm 20:7).

Oil tycoons extract oil (upstream) for refining and distribution (downstream), but the gospel tycoons extract water from the word for purification of the soul (Ephesians 5:26).

Oil tycoons put on a hard hat, but the gospel tycoons put on the helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17).

The wealth of the oil tycoon is clearly seen outwardly, but the wealth of the gospel tycoons is in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19) and it's invincible to the human eye and internal (Galatians 5:22; Revelation 2:9).

Any oil tycoon out there who still wish to be a gospel tycoon also? Can you please raise up your hand sir?

Children Gospel: Why Abandoned Children Are Children of God

All abandoned children are fatherless children. A fatherless child might not always be a child whose father is dead; but a fatherless child could also be a child neglected by the parents and not having a known or legally responsible father. Of course, no responsible father with accountability will neglect or abandoned his child for whatever reason.

All neglected children are fatherless children and for this reason, they are children of God since the most High God is a Father to the fatherless and they are brothers to other children of God also (Psalm 68:5).

Never neglect a child for any reason because this will invoke the wrath of God on you, but rather, give a cup of water to any child you see rooming street and defend them in their times of troubles (Deuteronomy 24:17) and provide relief in their times of needs and difficulties (Matthew 10:42; Psalm 82:3 ).

James 1:27 KJV
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, I pray thee that you be with all children and especially the neglected among them – your children (Psalm 68:5). Provide for them in their times of need and guard and protect their feet from harm and danger (Psalm 146:9), Amen.

The Only True Way Is Still Narrow

As it is written “narrow is the way that leads to life and broad is the way that leads to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14).

Matthew 7:13-14 KJV
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The only way to true life (John 6:53) and to God (1 Timothy 2:5) still remain narrow (Matthew 7:14), and that narrow way is Jesus (John 14:6).

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is the hidden treasure of this world which has been kept hidden from us by the works of Satan (Matthew 13:44; John 10:10).

Matthew 13:44 KJV
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Accept Him today, seek pardon (1 John 1:9; Luke 18:13) and turn away from all unrighteousness that can lead you to the way of destruction (Matthew 7:13; 2 Chronicles 7:14 ).

Will you? (Matthew 3:2).

Gospel Question About Jesus

According to the book of John, Jesus Christ made comparison of Himself with a tree (John 15:5 KJV).

What is the name of the tree, and which six-letter word about God that begins D and ends with E, has the same or similar sound as the name of the tree?

Scriptural guide: John 15:1

Answer

As it is written in John 15:5 KJV: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

The name of the tree that Jesus made comparison with Himself is “the vine” and the six-letter word that has similar sound as the vine is “divine” which means, coming from God (John 13:3).

Jesus Christ describing Himself as “the vine”, could also mean that He is divine (2 Peter 1:2-3) sent by God to save mankind from destruction and to regain all that was lost in the days of old (John 3:16; Matthew 18:11).

That settles the argument! Jesus Christ is from God (John 16:28).

Gospel Truth: Why You Should Listen to the Word and Not to the World

When you are concerned more about what the Word (John 1:1) and His word says (Job 23:12), you will care less about what the world say (Romans 12:2; Acts 5:29).

Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

You are neither moved by the praises nor criticism of men (Psalm 30:6), because all praises should go to God ( Matthew 5:16; Exodus 15:11), while all condemnation and criticism belongs to the father of lies – the Devil (John 8:44).

Gospel Exhortation

When they say you have been brainwashed because of Jesus, tell them it’s a good thing to have your brain washed by the blood of the Lamb (John 1:36).

Matthew 5:11 KJV
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you , and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Revelation 1:5 KJV
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

John 1:36 KJV
And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

2 Timothy 3:12 KJV
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Gospel Declaration

I’m willing and ever ready to prove beyond all reasonable doubt, tooth and nail, and with any part of my body, spirit and soul that Jesus Christ is the Lord (Matthew 16:16; Philippians 2:11; 1 Corinthians 12:3).

Philippians 2:10-11 KJV
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

How Can One Overcome Worry and Anxiety?

Yesterday, I was listening to a powerful sermon that really caught my attention and it's titled: “freedom from worry and anxiety”. I pondered and kept on asking myself, how about freedom from lies, because through lies the father of lies – the devil (John 8:44) brings worries and anxiety.

I believe to overcome worries and anxiety, we have to go to the root cause of worries and anxiety itself (i.e. lies) from the devil.

Just as we overcome thirst by drinking water (John 19:28), and darkness by putting on a touch light, don’t you think we can overcome lies with truth? (John 8:32) and where can we get the complete truth except from the word of God, which is an epitome of infallible truth (Psalm 119:160; Psalm 12:6).

Total reliance on God's truth from His Word (Hebrews 4:12 ; John 14:6) can make us overcomers of worries, anxiety and most importantly, lies (Revelation 21:7). We should ask God for help that the Spirit of Truth – the Holy Spirit (John 14:17) will lead us to all truth in his word (John 16:13) so that there will be no room for lies from the father of lies – Satan.

Or what do you think otherwise?

Gospel Truth on Prayer

Prayer is like a wireless connection and it’s the best among all wireless networks; because the wireless mobile network and power supply can be interrupted, but the network from the knees to the Most High God is always constant (John 14:14; Matthew 21:22; 1 John 5:14-15).

Philippians 4:6 KJV
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

1 John 5:14-15 KJV
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: [15] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Sample of Prayer

James 1:5-6 KJV
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. [6] But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Matthew 7:7 KJV
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Matthew 7:8-10 KJV
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. [9] Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? [10] Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

By Faith, ask from God whatever your want that is according to His will (1 John 5:14) and it shall be granted (John 14:14).

Gospel on Business

There is no other business that I wish to be as busy as the gospel business with Jesus Christ my Lord, as the CEO (Matthew 4:19).

Just as Jesus went about doing good (Acts 10:38), I want to go about doing my Saviour’s business (Luke 2:49). My wages is eternal life (John 10:28; Romans 6:23) and seeing the smile on faces of those that will patronize from the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 3:24-25).

Luke 2:49 KJV

Gospel Question: Prince of Peace or Sin in Peace to Rest in Peace?

Do you want to truly know the Prince of Peace and live in peace, or do you want to continue sinning in peace that can easily lead to a rest in peace?

Scriptural Guide:

Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:21 KJV
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Revelation 1:5 KJV
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Make your choice now; but I will advise you rest in the Prince of Peace than sinning in peace to rest in peace (Hebrews 12:2).

Practical Gospel

Contrary to the popular belief that discoveries can be made only in the laboratory, I tell you the truth, with Jesus, you will discover strange and amazing things —both micro and macro on daily bases without any microscope (Romans 1:20).

Though the word of God can act as the microscope and the workers of iniquity as the micro organisms (Hebrews 4:12).

There is no hiding place for all workers of iniquity because the biblical microscope with the eyes of the Lord will detect them all (Job 34:22; 2 Chronicles 16:9).

Romans 1:20 KJV
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

How We Can Sense the Good Taste of God's Word

Do you know that the word of God can be tasted (Hebrews 6:5)? The word of God has taste and can be tasted with the senses (Psalm 119:103). Unless your spiritual senses is in good function, you may find it difficult accepting the undiluted truth of God's word because you will figuratively find it “bitter”.

Finding the truth of God's word bitter will make you find it extremely difficult to accept the truth as you will prefer fables instead of the undiluted truth of God's word (2 Timothy 4:4; 1 Timothy 1:4). This will make you be moved and tossed to and fro by any doctrine without the good sense of differentiating the truth from the false (Ephesians 4:14).

The word of God is compared to food in the scripture and truly, the word of God is a kind of food of its own (Job 23:12). Jesus Christ, during the temptation by the devil, said that man does not live by bread alone but by the word of God also (Luke 4:4). The bread we eat is for the body while the word of God is spirit and life and for our internal being— the soul (John 6:63).

We need the word just as we need our material food because just the same way our body can be staved and malnourished, so also our spirit being and soul can be starved and malnourished also and when this happen we are exposed to diverse temptations (Matthew 26:41), lust of the flesh and lust of the eyes (1 John 2:16; Matthew 5:28).

This explains the increase in immorality in the society (2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2) because of the negligence and nonchalant attitude towards God's word but the good news is, Jesus is the cure (Romans 5:8-9).

To have your senses in function again takes practice of God's word. First, accept Jesus into your life and pray to God to get understanding which only Him give liberally to all who ask from Him (James 1:5) and the Spirit of truth — the Holy Spirit (John 14:17) will lead you to all truth of God's word (John 16:13).

Like they say “practice makes perfect”. Constant practice of God's word will develop you spiritual senses of taste of God's word. Study the scripture daily (Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 2:15), even if it's just three chapters a day but be consistent.

Be on alert (1 Peter 5:8 ), because Satan who doesn’t want you to know the truth, knows how to manipulate the hearts of men (Matthew 16:22-23) to persecute you through them and they will say all manner of things against you for your loyalty to the word of God but happy are you when you face such as Jesus said in the scripture (Matthew 5:11) and it shouldn’t bother you because it's written : “all who live godly in Christ will suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12).

Bible Verse Gospel: Overcoming Fears and Worries

Romans 8:15 (KJV)
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Luke 12:7
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Galatians 6:17
From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

Psalm 91:1
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:7
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

The Light That No Darkness Can Understand

The Lord God and Most High taking the workers of iniquity by surprise since the day He said in the beginning with a loud voice “let there be light” and the darkness could not comprehend it but gave way (Genesis 1:3).

I tell you the truth, the time and moment the Lord says “let there be light” in your life,

That darkness of sickness in you will not comprehend it and will give way (Exodus 15:26; Matthew 8:13).

That barrenness will not comprehend it but a baby in the womb ( Psalm 139:13) will suddenly will see the Lamb (John 1:29) with a lamp showing him the way (John 8:12).

That partial blindness will give way for you to see and know the way (John 9:25; John 14:6).

And finally, all things which thou hath thought was impossible will be made possible because only with men some things are impossible but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Education Gospel: What Does It Really Mean to Fail Happily?

What will be your response when you fail an exam?

I remember sometime ago, I wrote an exam and was asked how the result was, and I responded sharply and said “I failed happily”.

To fail happily doesn’t really mean all failure bring happiness, or it's a good thing to fail. It means it's more honorable to fail than to cheat which brings true happiness even when you fail.

Just the same way godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6), so also godly failure with contentment is great gain when you know you did your best.

For those who say “there is no excuse for failure”, bravo! to the present day Albert Einstein, but pray you don’t find yourself in the shoes of those who study day and night but yet unable to comprehend what they study and thus, no result to show for it. For those affected, I tell you the truth, there is no other way to get understanding, but from God alone who gives wisdoms and understanding liberally to all who ask (James 1:5).

To pass the non-genuine way is to fail woefully, and to fail genuinely is to fail happily. Though they are both failure, but one—to fail happily, brings happiness while the other does not.

To fail is a call not just to work harder, but to pray harder (Philippians 4:6) and plan better.

The scourge and mockery that goes with failure to me, has been one of the problems of the society, and because of this, many wants to impress with result through illegal means and they only end up depressed. Everyone wants to impress with result and for this reason, false impression is sought after (1 Thessalonians 5:22).

The popular proverb “success has many friends” shouldn’t be so, because Jesus came to seek and restore the lost and not to mingle around those who are already found (Luke 19:10; Luke 15:6). Success should only have the few friends who made the success possible by their assistant and support in times of trials.

This is seen in classes today where the teachers are close to the “most intelligent” while those that are struggling are left and ignored to struggle harder. Intelligent students shouldn’t be seen as those who get better result but those who are willing to learn.

There fear of failure is what make many fail. Don’t work under pressure thinking about what people will say when you fail, or because of your fear for failure succumb to pressure of going contrary to the ways of God like sleeping around to get temporal credit (1 Corinthians 6:9) but I advise you keep on developing yourself in all good areas of life and someday you will see the result and get the reward.

Bible Verse Gospel: How to Be a Servant

Philippians 2:5-8 (KJV)
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

John 13:4-5
He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. [5] After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

Matthew 20:28
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Just follow Jesus example of humility, selflessness and obedience ( Romans 5:19). He is the model we ought to follow as Christians (1 Peter 2:21; John 13:15).

The Reason for Division Among the Church

Why do you think there are diverse denominations of the Christian faith today? Or what do you think is the cause of church split?

Well, there are various reasons why a church split but I will focus on the principal cause of church splits—lack of understanding among the brethren (1 Corinthians 14:20; Ephesians 4:2-3). Lack of understanding may not always mean the inability to understanda the scripture or inability to understand English, but the inability to understand the ways of God and how He deals with people and situations differently (Isaiah 55:8 ).

God, through His word, has made us to understand that His ways and thoughts are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). No man can fully understand the whole ways of God but a child of God, just as a child of a father who knows his dad better, understand the ways of God to some extent because He continually reveal Himself to him (John 14:21, 23).

One of the ways God operate in the lives of believers is through the gift and offices He bestows on and place individuals in respectively (1 Corinthians 12:8-10, Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:28). Failure to understand the diversities of operation of these gifts and how they are used differently by God on individuals is one of the reasons for church split and division in the church today (1 Corinthians 12:5, 6).

Ephesians 4:11 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”

From knowledge, an apostle is a delegate and ambassador of the Gospel with miraculous powers to spread the gospel and plant churches at various location; a prophet can be a forteller of events or inspired speaker who hears from God and delivers what is heard either spoken or written; an Evangelist is the preacher of Gospel with convicting power of the Holy Ghost that helps lead to the conversion of sinners at rapid pace.
Pastor and teachers share some similarities but not entirely the same. Pastor and teacher can teach (Matthew 28:20), but the teacher is given a better ability to teach and expound the scripture better(Mark 4:34). The pastor and teacher can lead but the pastors are majorly Shepherds and leader of the people of God, while the teacher can lead also, but only when given some administrative ability by God.

Division is one of the tool the devil use to create distraction and disunity among the body of Christ but God will always have a way to turn things around for His good (2 Corinthians 2:11).

Gifts are possessed by individuals and the scripture had made us understand that the gift has diversities of operation and administration (1 Corinthians 12:4-6) and it’s applied as directed by the giver— the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4) and not by man or the individual himself .

Romans 12:4 “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:”
We are all created, gifted and unique in our own different ways and God calls individuals for different task. Struggle for position and forceful placement in position is one of the problems in the church that cause strife and division (Galatians 5:26).

Where the individual is asked to serve in an area he is not accustomed with, strife may come and lead to division. We should not because of the attention on gift miss other areas that we can serve God. When called to serve, it is a call to serve and not a call to show might on what you can do. When you serve faithfully, God will give you the ability to do that which you never knew how to do (Exodus 4:10-12).

Though we are many, but we are one body in Christ ( 1 Corinthians 12:20). Unity and peaceful coexistence among the brethren should be the topmost priority above everything else (Ephesians 4:2, 3).

The Parable of the Truthful Gardener

What is the kingdom of God like? (Luke 13:20)

It’s like a small garden that is being cultivated and taken care of by a gardener (John 15:1). Little children ran into the garden, sat on it, and asked the gardener to tell them a story (Matthew 19:14).

The gardener agreed and asked them the type of story they would love to hear and they all responded and screamed out loud, “papa please tell us the story we want to hear” but the gardener replied them and said “no children, I will tell you the story you need to hear instead” (Matthew 6:8 ).

He began, but after some time, some of the children who found the story boring and some other who found the story frightening, began to leave one after the other. Some other even not in their own will ran after their friends, leaving just few children behind (John 6:66, 67).

After telling the few children left the story, the gardener suspected the children will be hungry and asked them what they would like to eat (Matthew 5:6). The children responded and said “papa please give us the food we need” and the gardener said “no children, I will not only give you the food you need, but will give you any kind of food you want and of your choice also” (Matthew 6:33).

And the gardener opened a small gate close to the garden (Matthew 7:14) and inside was diverse kinds of food from his harvest of his garden and arranged in barns and the few children left were amazed by the wealth of the gardener.

He took them into his mansion (John 14:2) and in it was a large dinning table with already prepared delicacies of diverse kind, with his family members surrounding the table (Matthew 8:11). The gardener said to the children “eat my children (Romans 8:14), for these I have prepared for you since the very first day I started cultivating my garden (Genesis 1:1; 2 Timothy 2:19), for you must have what you need first, before you get what you want (Matthew 6:33).

The small gate was shut and the few willing children became the adopted children of gardener forever (Revelation 21:3).

Hello guys,

How has your day being? Hope great, and if so, all thanks and praise be to God (Psalm 18:49).

Hope you’ve being finding it cool with my biblical thoughts and lessons; please be patient with me if you've not.

Before I can teach better, I need to learn better. Today marks it exactly one year, three months since I found Jesus and before then I barely knew what the Holy Bible was.

There are many topic of discuss that spring up in my mind that I would have loved to share with you but I don’t until I have grown with adequate knowledge about it. Some I ask as question, and some I keep aside till I have gained enough knowledge of it.

Be patient with me as I improve but please don’t be patient in your prayers for me by praying without ceasing for me and God will bless you abundantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Thanks

Your servant,
FaithfulServant.

What Did Jesus Christ Mean by “Judge Not” ?

As it is written in Matthew 7:1 KJV “Judge not, that ye be not judged”.

Many conclude that judging is the act of making correction or rebuking someone for doing something wrong, but that is not the case . Anyone who sees something wrong and tries to make correction is tagged judgmental; a fellow rebuking someone for doing something wrong is said to be judging that person. The response sometimes given are: “who are you to judge”; “who made you judge over me” or quoting verbatim the words of Jesus “Judge not” without taking into consideration the context used by Jesus (Matthew 7:1).

Picking a single verse from the Holy Bible out of context is wrong. Jesus asking us not to judge in Matthew 7:1 does not mean we should not make correction or use discernment when necessary, but if we are to do so, we should do it rightly (John 7:24).

In John 7:24 when Jesus told the Jew not to judge or conclude by appearance, was in response (John 7:16) to their conclusion that Jesus had not learned and yet was able to teach sound doctrine, without making any attempt to know who truly Jesus was (John 7:15) . They concluded without finding fact and relied on what they thought and saw alone and that was wrong judgment. This is what is seen in the society today where rumors are given more attention than the fact and only few search for the truth before arriving at conclusion (1 Timothy 4:7).

In Matthew 7:1, the context used by Jesus was referring to judging the hypocritical way. Condemning what the condemner himself is guilty of. Passing condemnation and rebuke, and yet guilty of the same offense (see Matthew 7:3-5). With that, I can conclude that rebuking and correcting someone without the one correcting not guilty of the same offense, is not judging but sincere rebuking which the Holy Bible has encourage us to do with all meekness and love (2 Timothy 4:2; Ephesians 4:15).

Anyone, even a preacher who preaches that which is contrary to his own way of life is judging according to the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:1, because he trying to pull out mote out of the eyes of people when he has a beam in his own eye (Matthew 7:15; Matthew 23:27). God is not a respecter of any man (Acts 10:34) and such persons, God will judge (Romans 2:1,3).

There are other wrong ways of passing judgment. One of the ways is condemning others because we think we are better and more righteous than them and that is called self-righteousness. In Luke 18:10-14, a Pharisee was praying and thanking God that he was holy for fasting and tithing, while condemning the tax collector for being an sinner (Luke 18:11), but the tax collector became justified in the sight of God for admitting that he was a sinner. Self- righteous condemnation is a wrong judgment.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

God is the righteous Judge (Psalm 50:6) and through Jesus He will judge the whole world (Romans 2:16; Revelation 20:12). Passing judgment which only God should, is wrong judgment and for this reason, avenging and condemning someone to death is wrong (Romans 12:19). Concluding someone will go to hell or telling someone categorically “go to hell” should be avoided because it’s a wrong judgment that is not meant for man but for God who judge everyone according to their works (Luke 13:27; Revelation 20:12).

Deliberate backbiting, slandering or speaking evil falsely against someone without his knowledge is bearing false witness and wrong judgment and will incur the wrath of God (Psalm 101:5; James 4:11; Exodus 20:16). The word of God has made us to understand that backbiters or slanderers will face God's judgement (Romans 1:30-32).

Thanks for the compliment. It's all the work of God; I’m just a vessel for transmission and distribution (Matthew 10:27).

For how I got saved, I was not born saved (Psalm 51:5). I lived in sin too (Romans 3:23).

It was in July 11, 2016. I was in the library reading and even struggling to comprehend my books. A young man come in and started sharing the word of God with me and in the end, He prayed for me and in the name of Jesus, a recurring ailment of about seven years vanished.

I took note of the day and tagged it ‘Born-again’ day. In the early stages of my conversion the urge to sin was there but whenever the urge come, I always look back from where I was coming from — born-again day. The struggles continued till about three month when I noticed the urge to sin was reduced to the nearest minimum. I overcame addiction to pornography and masturbation in the process (Romans 10:9).

Since then I have lived freely with joy and happiness always in my heart. All thanks to Jesus.

This is just the abridged story and experience. So many experience followed which a dictionary can’t contain. Just stay on and as time goes on, I will be giving out the experiences. Thanks

Wow!

I know everyone is a sinner.

God really used a brother to bring you close to Himself. He sure was His instrument of salvation to share you the salvation message.

It's a long story. Like you also said, mine too would outrun an encyclopedia. It's a long story, and I thank God I'm saved. As born again Christians, we are meant to face all sorts of challenges and temptations from the devil after we've accepted Christ's Lordship over our life.

I also felt peace and joy in my heart after Christ won my soul - I noticed this. But the devil, as it was wont of him, would come and always confuse me and tempt me.

But, I'm overcoming.

We are weak Christians, and to tell you the truth, I won't doubt I sin more than 2-5 times a day as a born again Christian. I would feel hopeless and empty and ask for forgiveness of sin so I can enjoy Christ's presence in my life.

It's not easy being a born again Christian, but I'm overcoming through Jesus Christ.

Sorry for the wordiness.

Thanks for sharing your testimony.

Always welcomed and thank God for your life and testimony. Out of nothing He created everything and with anything and any circumstance, He can save anyone (Hebrews 11:3; 2 Timothy 1:9).

What the Lord has done for us, we can not tell it all even for ten years and with fifty tongues (Psalm 40:3).

Overcoming Recurring Nightmares and Ugly Dreams

What is a nightmare? It is a very bad dream that frightens a sleeping person. Several thoughts of the cause is in circulation. Many conclude that it is because of an evil spirit oppressing people during sleep, while medically, it is seen as sleep disorder with several names linked to it like sleep paralysis and various sleep disorders with ailment like depression and others also linked to it.

Well, medicine always has name for everything—both the usual and unusual, but I tell you the truth and from my experience and how I overcame, nightmares has nothing to do with the medical but the unseen world trying to commune with the physical world and the objects in it.

Some of the instances of nightmares and ugly dreams are: many complain of human-like pressure on the chest while sleeping; some wake up with marks and scratches on their body; some other experience sex in the dream and wet dream; some eat in the dream and wake up heavy and so many other instances. The medical may give different names to these because it operate on flesh during operating and test blood fluid frequently, but we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

Ephesians 6:12 KJV: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Those instances are demons trying to manipulate man and for the exact reason for each of the instance only known to them.

It is a three way thing: either you are for them, sitting on the fence or against them I.e. either on the left (for them), in the middle (relaxing and doing nothing) or on the right (for God). When you’re for them, you work for them and such agents who do so are like prisoners with condition for temporary freedom. Proverbs 4:16 makes us to understand that some sleep not until they have done mischief and have cause some people to fall.

Proverbs 4:16: “For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.”

Those at the middle and sitting on the fence, experience some “petting” experiences from the unseen agents like eating in the dream and sex in the dream. Those trying break off to come to the godly side, at their initial stages of their conversion, experience frightening attacks from the agents and sometimes lesser ones to put fear in them to draw them back to their sinful ways (Hebrews 10:38-39) but fear not as Christ the Lord has said (Luke 12:32; John 14:1; Romans 8:15). Whoever bears the mark of Christ, the evil one touches him or her not (1 John 5:18; Galatians 6:17), but endeavor to abstain from sin and pray to God that your flesh might be in subjection to overcome the pressure to sin (Mark 14:38; 1 Corinthians 9:27).

To overcome, first accept Jesus into your life by confession and prayer (Romans 10:9). I can’t guarantee success for a practicing witch doctor following this steps. Secondly, pray before you sleep using key verses involving Jesus Christ and His blood He shed on the cross for you and I (John 6:56; John 6:53). In prayer also, put on the whole armor of God as stated in book of Ephesians 6:13-18.

Ephesians 6:10-11:“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. [11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

In conclusion, sleep with your Holy Bible open, most preferably on specific chapters and verses containing phrases like “blood of Jesus”, “blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 12:11) and with this you will overcome by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8 ).

Good luck!
