Gypsey there is always a way to all those things u encountered there,why didn't you go with someone who can secure out every in and out for you without those stress u encounterd..

Normally the first time I went to cotonu to by goods,I was stripped of 75thousand CEFFer worth of goods..

But the case was not like that again till dat,anytime I venture into that country to buy goods,a french man,a citizen of that country helps me to diliver the goods to lagos and I pay them,sometimes. D people I buy goods from help me and deliver it to lagos for me..

That how it goes..
If it has to do with car you will need a french born cotonu man to do the delivery for you to lagos and u settle him, sometimes u d dilivery man who may be ur worker some cash incase of anything been demanded by their custorms..

ofcourse! i did all the things you mentioned, did you think i went there myself, the story i told you is what the people i paid to cross the cars for me told me, because when i saw my vehicles they were damaged with bullet holes when i asked why they told me all that stories. Anyway this happened years Ago i don't know what the situation is now, as you said things are different now. that time they charged me 200000 naira to cross each vehicle including police and custom settlement. maybe because the vehicles had foreign number plates

But I doubt something hmmm coz for those cars to be damaged I suspect they never did or made any payment when crossing the border,coz I myself have withnessed and also see for myself,I do see some car smuggler's setttling things peacefully at the border's and in most occassion if it a cotonu man it more easier to smuggle in a car..

you are correct. i think they didn't settle the customs or police they wanted to keep all the money for themselves, Anyway i ve not imported through that route ever since.

That why sometimes I have different thought when doing business with these my nigerian people,they are alway's after the money not the service to renther..

Well as for now am just looking out internationally for a good business..
