HELP!!! Hubby the sponsor, lives in a shared apartment where all utility bills are inclusive in the rent. @justwise and house, Please how can he address not having utility bills? Landlord has given letter of consent and stated all bills are inclusive in the rent. Is this enough? Or does hubby need to collect the utility bills in the landlords name from the landlord to submit?
Is it compulsory hubby gets consent letters from his housemates? Property inspection report approved.

Hi,

As long as she's been in the job for 6 months and has pay slips and bank statements to reflect these i don't think it matters if it's probabationary period or not.

2. You won't be allowed to use priority service if you've been refused a visa in that category before. I tried using priority for my husbands application after first refusal but it just wouldn't go through. Check out the exclusion criterias for the priority service to know more.

Day 55 today after biometrics :-(

On the Business days calculator, 17th August to 3rd November is 56days.

That is just enough.

Getting consent letter from his house mates will be an added advantage.

Wow.... Are you serious about this (bolded).... Perhaps the person who told me was referring to an initial refusal using standard method. I just hope this is not true cos I can't wait that long again.... My application last year took about 5 months. Can't wait that long again.
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by deebaby05(f): 2:33pm On Nov 05, 2017
It's true, you can't use priority if previously refused. It's on tlscontact.com.

Can someone please tell us how the sent their documents to the UK from here, the delivery time picked and cost? I’m clueless as to how to send my documents to my spouse in the UK.

Also I once asked if a mistake on the marriage certificate (pertaining to occupation) can affect my application. I have written and apologised for the mistake in my applicants letter but I would like to know if this might be bad for my application and if I need to point the mistake out to the Visa Officer.

Hello house..please i still need your advice on this matter:

My wife is kind of suggesting that she will acquire a loan from her bank to sponsor my masters program in Uk to enable stay closer to her during this period..Do you think its a good idea to do such please i need your opinion .
Note: She works full time,..she lives in a rented apartment..she is pregnant and she earns £17,800 per year which is less than £18,600 per year that is required. and she meets all other requirement..
We are just looking for a way out because she's alone

Since she is British, you can wait till she gives birth and you apply via the 10 year route instead of the 5 year route. The 10-year route is for couples with children who don't meet the financial requirements.

Hi everyone,
Just found out about this forum and wish I did earlier. Please I need everyone’s help here as I’m genuinely freaking out as this has taken way too long.

So I applied for a UK spousal visa on May 30th 2017 and I’m yet to get a response till date.
Wedding registry in feb 2017 (ikoyi registry)
Engagement and wedding in July 2017

So here’s my timeline soo far:

Application online submission- may 30th
Biometrics - June 6th
Documents sent to Sheffield - June 12th
Email confirming application received in Sheffield -
June 27th
Application not straightforward email received - Aug 24th
Escalation to MP by husband-September 13th
Email from Sheffield apologizing for delay as it’s been a busy period and aim to make a decision on or before October 31st - sep 25
Not straightforward email - Oct 16
Email received stating still working on application - Oct.30th

Should I be worried??
Also they haven’t asked for any extra documents,so we are just waiting daily for goodnews.

Please any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Seems a little big longer than usual........ Possibly they are awaiting or have some issues they are requiring clarifications on......

Unfortunately, it's a waiting game... Your sponsors MP has sent a letter and it seems to be at a standstill....

Do you or your sponsor have any reason(s) to be concerned about?
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Dolly15: 2:53am On Nov 06, 2017
No we don’t,hence why we are wondering why it’s taking this long.
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Dolly15: 2:58am On Nov 06, 2017
Is it normal or should I say unusual for delays like this to occur?
I just wish someone could tell me exactly what’s going on?
I hope this doesn’t mean I will get denied the visa sad
Any similar situations on this platform?

Unfortunately nobody on this platform can give you a definitive answer.......
Every case is slightly different, with similar twist. You would simply have to remain patient (spend the waiting periods, learning a handy craft)...... Make up artiste, hair stylist etc etc etc

Can someone please answer these questions? I know everyone here has sent their documents from Nigeria to the UK. I just need to know how.

Hi, my hubby sent me his through DHL so look for any DHL outlets around where you are and it should come through. They’ll weigh your package and tell you the cost.

Hi. I sent mine through DHL on the island. I sent to my hubby and then he included his own documents and properly arranged dem before he sent to Sheffeild.

My package weighed 3.5kg thereabout and i tink it cost me like 39, 300 NGN. So package urs and visit any DHL outlet. Depending on the weight of your documents , you would then know aw much to pay. I trust this clarifies.

Hi everyone, I keep reading on here about people sending their documents to Sheffield from nigeria however, the TLS website does suggest there's a scanning option where we scan all our supporting documents and they on our behalf forward these to Sheffield. Has no one used this service? And if yes how reliable is it as I will be coming to nigeria to attend biometrics with my husband and want to know if it's worth going the scanning route or just take everything back with me and send to Sheffield myself.

Thank you

Justwise... Really?

I just want a fast application this time. I think I'm just going to use priority regardless. In the picture posted by Deebaby05, it did not really say one "must not" use priority if one has been initially refused.... it only says "they recommend not to use"
