If it’s mild, using salt and water solution or coconut oil to wipe the mouth may clear it. Applying coconut oil on your nipple will do. If not, you’ll need to see your doctor.

He may prescribe nystatin for the baby or use something violet (can’t remember d name) we call it G.V. He will also give you something to be rubbing on your nipple so you don’t reinfect the baby.

Good morning mamas. Please I've been thinking of an effective way to wean my 1 year + son so I tried rubbing Bitter leaf on my tips so that when he tries sucking, he will taste the bitterness and stop sucking but my Oga just continued sucking the thing as if I even added sugar. Lol. The thing just weak me

Biko mamas, kindly give me effective suggestions on how to wean this boy cos breastfeeding don tire me and he seems to always hope on breastmilk which might be the reason why he normally eats little these days

Just stop giving him at all. Instead of offering breast milk with botterleaf, don't offer at all. Its not easy though. Justgive food instead (his usual meals) or Milo.

Anytime I wean, my kids end up with fever then ifeel sorry for them and put the breast back. But one time I as determined and I stopped. Just close eyes for him. Lol. If u like put flagyl he will still suck after once u offer.

Mothers please don't read and pass, my almost 7months old baby has been having difficulty pooping. what can I give to ease the poo. His poo comes out a little in a thick paste form once in 3days. I pray this boy will not inherit constipation from me.
Experience mothers abeg come shook mouth.
Give him oranges. U can squeeze for him and let him drink. Like 3-4 oranges

Hello mama's. I am mbliz. I put to birth last week to a baby boy.I am Happy to join newborn thread. I have a question pls. When my LO sucks, I feel pain on the nipple and I noticed that, that particular nipple is harder than the other. Pls what should I do.

It will hurt for a while. Sometimes it will even peel off. U can just apply Vaseline when he's not suckinggo relieve you. Or lansnol* I don't think o got the spelling right. But that stuff works good.
Pele dear. Its part of the package

Then my son would come with wet hands just to clean the nipples very well before sucking because I once put flagyl.. what I did was leave him with my mom for 2 days and totally disappeared

I have an issue and can't seem to think of what to do.

My baby's creche will be shutting down for the year on the 18th December to resume 3rd January.
The company I work for doesnt give leave in December and so my next best option to keep her while I work would have been my mum, but my mum is a fashion designer and this is her peak period... She won't really be chanced till after 26th December cos of d workload she has.

What do I do?

I'd say find a
1. Temporary arrangement with another creche. I know my school at Lekki is opened all year round to absorb kids with schools that close early. We call it Camp week. So we don't close till 23rd, we run shifts to resume 27th. Close again on 30th and resume on 3rd for workaholic parents.

2. Contact her class caregiver and arrange that she watches over Zara on a private level. She'll most likely be free till Christmas and Zara is familiar with her already.

3. Ask at your place of work if babies are allowed. Ask first. You'll get distractions for her and can close early.

4. The thing is new moms living in the same area are the best support system for one another.
Play dates and turn by turn babysitting is still the best solution so if you have a very close friend that lives close by, plead with her to watch over Zara and if you can arrange for someone to pick her early or if you can arrange with your company to let you close early for the next 2 weeks. Ask first.

What you need is a stroller. Although at this rate you'll still use the carrier till he's maybe 9 months (using my son as reference)
