Good. That is the best approach.
instead of making empty statements like you can influence anything.
My statements are politial analysis as is my right. You are free to do yours so stop being rude and obnoxious.
I am saying that if the presidency is zoned to the south it is not a done deal for the Igbos because the Yoruba have a legitimate interest. Do you have a problem with that/

Now it is MY OPINION that a Yoruba candidate will defeat an Igbo candidate based on current realities. You are entitled to YOUR OPINION.

It is funny that Igbos think they can rule Nigeria. Let me be sincere, the highest position they can get is vice president. While we know the Northerners don't want Nigeria to split, they won't be stupid to put an Igbo as president. They north will rather Nigeria split than for Igbo to rule Nigeria.
All these your cries about wanting to leave Nigeria does not bother them that much.
Igbos can never rule Nigeria. You recent cries for Biafra has prepared us all for unforseen event like breakup of this country.
Somebody even mentioned Okorocha. That niggger can't even win his party ticket. Igbos should stop deceiving themselves.
The north fears Yorubas than they do Igbos

Deep down you know the truth.

What do you mean by "giving ticket" Even Dele Momodu got a ticket.

Anyone can get a ticket so stop talking nonsense.

The reality is all of us that are live today including the person born today will die before there is ann Igbo president in Nigeria
Has there ever been a president without election?
There will be elections and Yoruba will contest against any Igbo candidate. Just like Buhari contested against Obasanjo and GEJ twice.
If you are hopin there will be no competition you are deluded. Of course you know you CANNOT win and you now realize the main bstacle to that ambition is Yoruba.
You are in for a very bitter lesson
You mention Tinubu are you not funny? You think Tinubu will sit idly by for an Igbo to contest with APC. A party you all villified and did not believe in ? You now want to coe when food is ready?

You better go and rebuild PDP just like he did with APC and give up those paasitic dreams

I have been following the discussion and my submission is that if the 2023 elections will be thrown open for all Nigerians to vote, I don’t see any igbo man winning. There’s just this fear that Nigerians have for igbos that won’t see them vote for an igboid individual.

Igbos have the Yoruba and Hausa to contend with in Nigeria. No need for any threat of violence, what the igbos need right now is to be humble but we all know that arrogance is ingrained in the average igbo man so we are in a catch 22 situation.

I think fear i the wrong word though.
Mistrust is the key ethnic political issue.
They are not trusted and they are seen as very impulsive tending to act rashly without considering consequences long term that is the Yoruba perspective. The other thing is their behaviour during the GEJ era and IPOB has hardened many Yoruba minds that were equivocal previously
The North may be more wary given the history of pogroms and afeeling of guilt

Leaving all of that to one side, WHO IS THIS IGBO MESSIAH that we are being asked to line up behind and what is his track record?

Yoruba Elders Meet Jonathan To Complain About Marginalisation - Smh

Written by Leon Usigbe, Abuja
Friday, 26 August 2011

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan met with a delegation of the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), led by Major-General Adeyinka Adebayo (retd), in the State House, on Thursday, as the leaders complained about being left out in the top six posts in the country.

The delegation also demanded for the dissolution of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), which they observed had been unable to fulfill the objectives of its establishment, while also asking for action of the deplorable roads in the South-West.

But responding to their requests, President Jonathan said he was concerned about adherence to the principle of federal character and the zoning formula adopted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and he had tried to ensure that no section of the country was left out in the scheme of things by accommodating them in the subsequent appointments he had made.

According to him, “the issue of federal character and position, especially those political offices, were quite worrisome to me, but we had to achieve political balancing and federal character.

“That is why this thing you describe as zoning was to make sure that every zone should be represented in the one you describe as top six, but for some political reasons, it was not possible. But on my own, in terms of appointments, I tried to see that the way appointment was made, you will agree with me that the appointments we have made so far did not exclude any section.”

He promised that he would not preside over a government that would margninalise any section of the country.

Jonathan lauded the role of Yoruba elders in the 2011 presidential election, which enabled the PDP to win in the South-West saying that the success was made possible because of the leadership.

On the request for the dissolution of the NDDC, Jonathan said though there were many complaints about the commission, it could not be dissolved because it was made up of management and staff.

Jonathan restated his commitment to ensure that things were done differently in the country, adding that corrupt officials would no longer be allowed to go scot free, while outstanding performers would be rewarded.

when it is time they should go meet tinubu there master

chino11:
This is a welcome development, the Yorubas should be effectively and perpetually marginalized and schemed out, because they deserve worst things also. What did they achieve for their rotten Yoruba states during wasted years of the baboon called Obasanjorijo Useless and woe tribe. They should step up the complaint, GEJ will as usual and as always mess them up. They forgot that Tinubo sold them out for a pot of 'ewodu', the same way their foolish leaders sold out abioala to the almajiris to be slaughtered.

Afam4eva:
Al_harem has spoken the truth. You cannot eat your cake and still want to have. PDP controls the center. So, states that will benefit from the center are PDP states. They should go and meet oga Tinubu if they feel marginalized.

You have spoken well. I am really tired on their matter so I rarely comment on igbo issue in Nigeria and I am now channeling all my energy to my own life. If given the chance to vote for an igbo or Ijaw man as President, I and my generations will choose that ijaw man. That goes to show how much I “distrust” an average igbo man. Is it my fault that I don’t trust them? No! It is a result of years of careful study of the behavior of average igbo person who is prone to unwarranted bouts of hubris and vain glorious worship of the outrightly mundane. I advice all Nigerians to just tolerate them as fellow country men but never to bestow them with power as they are sure to misuse that power to the detriment of other Nigerians.

In 2003 Igbos supported yoruba even when buhari had Okadigbo as running mate. We dont play ur type of politics baba.
