Trust me He would visit them. Either the Ovie of Ughelli or the Orodje of Okpe. It is likely he would visit both because if he stops at warri to see the Olu, he would stroll in to see the Ovie of Ugheli and since he would be coming through sapele road to Benin he would make a stop at the Orodje palace. If He should tour delta state it could be a month. He might see the Dein of Agbor probably or he could just be hosted by the whole Delta state council of Traditional rulers....i am just saying.
yeah, it wouldn't be a bad idea if his hosted by Delta State Council of Traditional rulers. our kings would feel honoured by the Oba bcus they've also honoured the oba by sendn some monarchs in delta state to honour the Oba's coronation. ovie of ughelli was there, Orodje of okpe, ovie of uvwie, ohworode of olomu n others were there. it wouldn't be so nice if Oba disregards our monarchs

Emeijeh, you were a bit unkind to Oba Ewuare...Even his father, Omo N'oba N'edo Uku Akpolokpolor, Erediauwa II who you mentioned, visited Oba Adesoji Aderemi, late Ooni of Ife, in his Ile-Ife palace. He also visited other monarchs.

Again, Oba Ewuare has only left Edo state once- his visit to the President at the Villa and Sultan of Sokoto? Or did you expect him not to visit his peer kings who attended his colourful coronation? It may even be difficult for an Oba in 2017 (Oba Ewuare) to have the same nuances as an Oba (Erediauwa) installed in 1979...

I do not think that there is anything wrong with the visit, Emeijeh.

I used the word almost on my post. Please check again

It would be fascinating if a guy claiming to be yoruba even knows the meaning of the word "history".
No historical records mention the word yoruba 200 years ago.

One alake woke up one day and decided to make a "ranking of obas" which consists of him just saying: "this guy is number one, this other guy is number two, this guy is number three and I am number four". And somehow that has become your bible ?
How old are you ? The title Oba comes from a longer title: "Omo n'Oba n'Edo".
Now go figure who is copying who ?
Also did your ooni or alafin fight against the british ?
The real Oba did !
Guess what his name was and what kingdom he ruled.

lol keep deceiving yourself.

you will be deluded if you really think Bini kingdom didn't come from Ife. we all know the truth. the first king of Benin is from Ife. your delusion will even be more severe if you think a tribe (Bini) of 10million people at most) birthed an ethnic group (Yoruba) of 60million. Personally I don't give a fvck if Benin people acknowledge Yoruba as their origin or not (the first Benin king, oranmiyan is the child of oduduwa) but you Benin people should stop telling us the origin of our own words like Oba. Oba has been the word for king in Yoruba since time immemorial. you should also stop telling us Yorubas are from Benin kingdom. we are not idiots. a 50 Yr old man can't be a father to a 70yr old man. my link is not about which tribe birthed which one. you made me divert into that with your silly maps and the insinuation that the word Oba was adopted from Benin.

as for the link I gave u. I did that cos you foolishly jumps into conclusion that your Benin king is the most influential in the south.
the ranking is in terms of influence and there are several variations. all the rankings you can ever bring out comes with the ooni being the first in the south (for most rankings) or the alaafin being the first in the south. no ranking ever placed your Oba above the ooni otlr the alaafin. so next time you want to praise your king do so without attributing one imaginary status of the most powerful king in the south to him.

if you were half as smart as you are trying extremely hard to appear you will know that the Ooni is regarded as the number one king in Yoruba land (7states) compared to the Oba of Benin whose influence is limited to Edo state alone. alone of the unnecessary argument. you are free to call your king the most powerful in the Ss and se and I won't argue with you. just exclude the southwest from your equation. thanks

The Ezama is actually not a King, he is the subject of the King (Oba).
My point was that the ooni's position is not even up to that of the Ezama.
You guys "yoruba" don't have a clue about us EDO, yet you keep claiming to be the costudians of our Edo history.
You don't even have a clue about your own origins, A lot of you are Edo and you don't even know. You have been brainwashed by all these tales of oduduwa dropping from the sky with a parachute and an m16 and (why not) an armoured personnel carrier.

The population of Rome is less than 3 million people.
Rome which had an empire which comprised France, England, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Greece, Italy...
That defeats your argument of "we plenty pass you". Why do I even have to keep debating while I have proven all my points already ?
Those slaves who were dropped in Lagos really mananged to mess up you peoples brains.

@Jaideyone, provide me just one proof of any precolonial "yoruba" king being referred to as Oba before colonisation.
Don't you find it funny that almost all your yoruba chiefs have added the word Oba to their title, and this includes even village heads !
The word Oba is a diminutif for the expression: Omo n'Oba n'Edo. The word isn't the title on its own.
Don't you also find it strange that the Oba of Benin has only one title: Omo n'Oba n'Edo while your "yoruba-kings" have titles such as "alake", "alafin", "ooni" ...
Re: Oba Of Benin, Ewuare, Visits Sultan Of Sokoto (Photos) by Nobody: 4:47pm On Nov 28, 2017
Also, the Ezama of Benin and the Obi of Onitcha are much much more influential than the ooni of ife and the alafin of oyo who got booted out of his capital (illorin) by the fulani. So don't even dare compare your fake kings "ooni and alafin" to a real King: Omo n'Oba n'Edo.
