Apc muslim/muslim ticket will be the biggest blessing for pdp. Infact pdp will only have very little campaigning to do. The key important region that holds the key for victory in 2019 for any party is the south south and south east and buhari made a very grave mistake by referring to them as 5%, then the kanu saga All coupled with apc backing out of the restructuring promise they made in 2015.


If Tinubu likes let him fall for untenable promises again,he was deceived and 'cabalized' after the last general elections. If he doesn't want to regret and bemoan his fate in silence again then he should get his calculations right now,after all he now knows that the Fulani oligarch cannot be trusted to keep a promise. He should also know that if he eventually falls for the bait then he should be ready to be redundant since VP re like spare tyres,they only carry out assignments assigned to them and with someone like Tinubu who they know has some political clout they will make sure they clip his wings severely by those who feel threatened..

As much as I hate to see these old men rule Nigeria, I'd like to say there's nothing wrong in a Muslim/Muslim or Christian/Christian ticket ,why?

Nigeria has more Muslims than Christians ,this means there will be more competent Muslim candidates(judging by statistics) Besides, other countries don't use this "religion " ish for candidacy.... For exanole-John Atta Mills was a Christian likewise John Dramani Mahama of Ghana


I'm not just in support of these old men, religion shouldn't count...

It is when they drop Osinbajo that you will know his political and electoral value. When they used his name to clear Christian votes in desperation during 2015 election a lot of you folks were not sure of defeating Jonathan then. Even Jonathan himself voiced it out that Osinbajo was his problem.
Tinubu is only good as a kingmaker. He will never be a Vice President not to talk of President in Nigeria.

APC in confusion mode already .The pressure is on to drop VP.

However the joker for 2019 is South south and southeast.

With people like Wike in power u will c serious votes for PDP not those watery 1.8 million votes for Goodluck .

U will c minimum 2.5million block vote in each of SS states and SE.

Any body with PDP ticket is getting this block vote.

The SW is divided APC will not win all d SW states.PDP will win at least 3..

Very poorly conceptualised piece by The Sun!

1. Prof. Osinbajo as VP has remained effective and efficient as a Pastor in RCCG. His lifestyle is simple enough to the extent that were he to cease being VP right this very moment nothing will change except for the hordes of security men assigned to his office. He has his next appointment as an Ex- VP lined up - trust him!
2. While Pastor Osinbajo cannot be denied the goodwill he enjoys by the fact of his Pastoral calling it is a gross misconception steeped deep in intellectual dishonesty to assert that he requires the consent of his church to run again with President Buhari. He only needs the counsel of God.
3. Prof. Osinbajo has never been about politics in a manner suggestive of an agenda to “be his own man”. He understands and keeps to his place as a technocrat in politics. Focus on Core competencies for maximum public service delivery is what he has on his plate.
4. To suggest that Asiwaju Tinubu is set to run as VP with President Buhari is to put on display kindergarten understanding of the present times in Nigerian politics. Asiwaju will play no second fiddle. It is inconsistent with his make-up that delivers the drive responsible for the thrust characteristic of his political trajectory. Asiwaju himself knows that to run as VP is to distort the political landscape in a manner so unsettling as to invite his political foes to commit themselves to stopping him even if the Mission will demand their very last breath! He knows he is deeply hated by his political foes whose continual forays into his fold are intended to strip him of his followership.
5. The Sun would do well to consult widely in politics and street moments before putting out such a piece.
