Hello house, I'd just been admitted for a PhD position at Lincoln University NZ.
Pls, anybody that can help with my cause. I wouldn't want to miss this opportunity. If you know of anyway I can go about to secure this admission. Kindly assist please.

You can have patience and apply for a scholarship by February next year.

But if you can finance it yourself, just do it. I'm sure you will be able to get a job and support your tuition and living expenses.

Hello did you have to pay tution fee before applying for a visa ? I got admitted into Victoria university of Wellington for a master of public policy program the fees is 41,000 newzealand dollars. Who has any idea if I can get some form of scholarship as I can't afford the tution and I don't want to loose this golden opportunity:

You should include your transcripts, proof that you have a strong ties with your home country e.g family, job, properties etc. , birth certificate, academic certificate (make sure that your school will be ready to respond to them, when they want to verify your qualifications. I don't really know how you are going to do it, but they will contact your school to verify your certificate) . Do I have to pay tution before applying for a visa ?

Good luck!

You will have to book for electronic medical examination. Where you will do a General medical examination and Chest X ray. The result will be sent to INZ directly(u won't see it). You will be given a form, stating that you have done the medical examination, but, u are awaiting your result. There is place where u will fill your medical examination number. It is the form that u will upload.
Depending on where you stay, in Abuja, it's done at International organization of migration, Wuse, Abuja.

NB. INZ accepts results from Only designated medical centres in Nigeria.

If you are married, you can present your marriage certificate. If single, I don't really know.
Don't know about using birth certificate as a proof of family tie with home country. May be true, but I don't know. I'm sorry.

Hello house. Please I need your help. I have applied for New Zealand Student Visa to do my PhD in AUT twice now. Unfortunately, I have been declined visa for same reasons on both occasions: 1) That I did not convince them am coming to New Zealand for studies alone and will be returning at the end of my studies. 2) That my sponsor PTDF did not attach a bank statement to my financial undertaking 3) That i did not tell them how PTDF will pay my scholarship money to me while in AUT.

After my initial application, I was asked to attach my study leave letter from my employer to show I will be returning to my job. I did provide the said letter in my subsequent application yet the immigration people are still saying that they are not satisfied I will be returning back to Nigeria at the completion of the programme. AUT has accepted to invoice my fees to PTDF once am issued a student Visa. I attached that document to my visa application together with my award letter from PTDF and the financial undertaking form signed by PTDF, yet the immigration are still not satisfied because PTDF did not attach their bank statement. A feat that is impossible because CBN is responsible for making all payments to scholars. I even went as far as getting PTDF to mail the immigration officer that handled my previous application, introducing me to him as her scholar.

The immigration also said I did not show them my academic progression and documents I used in obtaining admission from AUT meanwhile I attached my transcripts and certificates to my application. I know a friend who suffered similar fate last year from immigration New Zealand, Pretoria. I really don't know what else to do to help my application.

Please if anyone can help me with useful information that will aid my application, I will appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hihi

All those reasons they are giving are just their way of telling you to pay fees or show you have NZD15,000. And also to tell you that they don't recognize PTDF scholarship as a funding body.

I support what hausalander says, get $15,000 into your account or get an individual who has to sponsor you.
You can add the PTDF as part of your supporting documents. If you have an acceptance form/letter of the PTDF award, you can attach that as well.

Hope this helps.
Goodluck on your next application

Please help! thebest1210, I have this same issue. I got an email that my payment was unsuccessful after sending the details of my MasterCard, but my passport has not been verified. Please how did you solve this?

[ :Pquote author=thebest1210 post=59365328]Good morning nlders,
Please, I am greatly disturbed. I applied for a New Zealand student visa. Paid the application fee, using my naira master card. I was directed to send my passport and a handling fee to South Africa. The handling fee could be paid through local bank transfer to their account in SA, or by credit/ debit card, in which you will have to send your card details. I opted for the latter.
Few days later, I received a mail that my card payment was unsuccessful, even though I had enough money in my account. I sent another card details of another account, same problem. I then pleaded with them to give me time to open a dollar account and do the transfer, they obliged. But, Ecobank messed me up and delayed the whole process. The people in charge couldn't wait any longer, so they had to send the passport to immigration New Zealand for processing without the handling fee. My passport has already been verified and returned to me.
My question is this, Will my inability to pay the handling fee affect the visa decision?
Please, who has ever been in this situation, help me out on what happened and how you were able to rectify the problem.
I'm really worried and confused.

Thank you very much.

You can only pay, using a dollar master/visa card. Or do a local bank transfer, which must still be from a dollar account.

Sir, I just got admitted for PhD in UC and was also offered the UC Doctoral Scholarship with monthly stipends. I'm supposed to resume by March 2018, but I wish to communicate someone who has a better experience before commencing my Visa application. Is there a possibility that we can discuss privately? Thank you.
