President Buhari Deserves A Second Chance - Youth Writer. by Reelectbuhari: 5:11pm On Dec 27, 2017
Buhari deserves a second chance- youth writer

Correct me if am right.( Part one)

President mohammed buhari, a former head of state and current president of nigeria has been on the news for no many reasons which was not of his own making, reasons ranging from issues of governance, deliverance of dividends of democracy, bringing food to nigerians table, foreign policies, health status, job losses, constant industrial actions, and of recent the repeating fuel scarcity on every festive period.

But in all these we have failed to ask “IS ALL THESE ISSUES OF BUHARI OWN MAKING” bearing in mind that no president will come to power to wage war against those who elected him but is always faced with opposition and policies he tries to correct to re-assert his influence and of which such promises the electorate found him worthy to be elected.
Without further derailing, President Mohammed Buhari came to power through a crucial contested election, also doubling as a global ICON of change and also widely perceived as a no nonsense army general, Buhari rose to defeat former president Jonathan of the peoples democractic party,PDP who his party has ruled nigeria for over 16years since the handover of power from military to civillian rule.

Like it should and due to the sensitivity of Nigeria and high expectation of the masses, it took president Buhari six months to appoint his cabinet(bearing in mind he has to appoint people who has in one way contributed to his success at the polls, a government of both politicians and technocracts)members which many viewed as stagnating the government but in real sense he was preparing his ground on smooth take off on the realms of governance due to his out of power for over 25 years. Buhari with no further delay appointed his ministersn aides plus chief of staff which was greeted with high spirit in the north and south west but with strong condemantion from the south east and some part of south south. This appointment immediately set the road for governance in full force......but at this point with criticism of his p appointment and marginalisation......

The worst happens.....
The very first hit on President Buhari government was sharp drop on the prize of crude oil from high as $97/bbl to as low as $25/bbl with the then budget benchmark of $76/bbl....which painfully set the country into recession with various consequences as millions of job losses....
» HOW WAS IT BUHARI FAULT?
Like I said earlier, no president wishes to wage war against his electorates. The drop in prize of crude oil was not of Buhari making but in fairness we have failed to ask?
1. How did Nigeria fared under a budget benchmark of $76/bbl with the prize of crude at $97/bbl( excess of $21/bbl)
2. What developmental strides, innovations, construction, refineries upgrade etc happened in this period of excesses.
3. Was it the mismanagement of our resources that set the nation into RECESSION.......
Again how was it Buhari faults.....
What happened to the excess money generated from crude and where is the tax payers money for over 16yrs....
Also has the question on billions of naira seized in UK because of Ibori returned, what has happened to issue of Deziani madueke story, what of malabu oil deal, what of haliburton scandal, what of power committe which looted the entire electricity budget, what of Odua Aviation saga.......many more to the list.

The country was plunged into recession for over 16years of no clear plan for the masses, then how do u expect a president who met a budget benchmark of $76/bbl at oil prize of $28/bbl do a magic to fully implement the budget.....on this note HOW WAS IT BUHARI FAULT?
With such losses incurred for the incoming president even if he is a magician, how can he do it to stabilize the recessing economy.

ON HEALTH STUTUS.......
We all know sickness is an act of God, nobody is above to be sick no matter how highly placed. The condition the president find itself anyone can also find him or her self in such situation and what we need at that point is prayers not criticism....
Passing a death sentence on a president does not bleed good of patriotism to our dear country.

To be continued.
