I totally agree with you. Scholarships are of course genuine cases and due to unforseen circumstances some visas could be delayed. Imagine someone planning to 'reunite' with his German girlfriend (not wife o) pretending to go through student visa, with no zeal for studies at least. It may take some time to investigate but eventually the embassy will see through him. All I'm saying is, apart from your reasons above, if you give the embassy reasons to have to probe further, they would and that takes time.
your posts are funny, even if I have a German babe I want to reunite with and still presented myself as a genuine student before the v.o with my genuine documents, how vo wan take know I get German babe I wan reunite over there and using study route to accomplish such? Sister leave all those talks sha.. Delay in the intervals of A.Ms for students is determinant of the alien office of each applicant's city and the vo handling the files on his/her desk, if everything being equal from the applicant's part. As long as the Lagos office has done their part and forwarded the application to Germany, it is left for the office in Germany to acknowledge, do their remaining part especially verification of admission letters and means of finance and any other thing if applicable. if one gives the embassy room of doubts for study visa, if found guilty, the rejection is right from Lagos office and does not even take longer processing times of less than weeks without your application getting to Germany N.B; I am an A.M awaitee grin

You didn't read my post well. I said 'with no zeal for studies'. At least, if you want to pretend, do it well and prepare for your interview well. I know someone who tried that (not saying the embassy knew he had a German girlfriend obviously) but he couldn't convince the embassy that he needed a student visa. I like the part where you said 'if everything being equal from the applicant's part' and I already stated that unforseen circumstances (from the alien's office and the embassy) could contribute to the delay.

What advice are you looking for? You're one of the people who's making it difficult for people who have gotten their admission letter to book visa appointment. You'll have to cancel it because you can't go for an interview with your admission letter.
Madam calm down. It was this same forum I got advice I should book without A.L but thanks to God someone advised me and I checked my spam folder the letter is there.

Hello friends, please what is the German ECTS equivalent of a Nigerian credit unit. The school (TUHH) requires that I complete a table specifying how many ECTS completed in subjects such as linear algebra, statics, differential equation etc. I understand that a semester in Nigeria is equivalent to 30 ECTS. Please how do I go about it? Your helping response is needed.

it's 1.5 * the course credit Unit
For instance if the course is 3 credit Unit in Nigeria; the calculation would be 1.5*3=4.5 ECTS
Yes, a semester in Nigeria is approximately 30 ECTS because it is assumed we do between 6 and 7 courses of 3 credit Unit each every semester..So it will be 6 or 7 * 3 * 1.5

Note: The German grading system sees our year1 as A level and so it's not added to the calculation. The calculation should start from year 2.

Baba relax, not all schools acknowledge receipt from uni-assit. University of Potsdam doesn't too. In as much as you are sure that uni-assist says they have forwarded your application, just chill and be hopeful

Good morning everyone,

please:

1. Should I apply for my 3-year old daughter to travel with me or I should leave without her for now?.

Taking into consideration that she also has an American passport.

2. Since she has the passport, should I go with her then apply for residence for her in Germany?

I applied to University of Applied science, Mittweida for winter session 2018.

I need clarifications on some issues on the visa application form.

1. The section 9, "I intend to stay no longer than twelve months in the Federal territory and apply for a visa that covers the whole of my stay" do I thick that or leave it blank?

2. "Trade or profession for which you have trained...", I studied Engineering buh haven't practiced for a day, do I leave that blank?
Thanks

Go to German embassy in Lagos to certify or one of those notary guys in your state.

There is a calculation to know if your cgpa beats their (2.5) cut off mark

Hello

I have been asked to bring my passport, travel insurance and to indicate my travel dates. Do I need to book a flight and send the itinerary to indicate the travel dates? Or can I just indicate the travel dates in writing. Also how can I go about this travel insurance.

Thank you.
