Please I need some guidance.
I recently left my old church because of my quest for spiritual growth. I was attending the most popular orthodox church but was not so comfortable with some doctrines, mode of worship, prayers and creeds. I questioned many of their practices even in my small prayer group then, but all were dismissed instead of answered. I started avoiding some of the prayers and practices but was not resolute on leaving.

I sought for answers in the Bible (that I have been reading since birth) and discovered that many of the doctrines are alien to the foundation Christ and the disciples laid. I needed to justify my stand and also wanted to know the truth so I started reading books (many of which were written by Kenneth Haggin and his son). You don't want to know the truth I discovered. The writings of Bible are spiritual and alive...the words can speak.

Now I've decided to join a Bible believing church but I can't hide my disappointment. My problem is choice of a place of worship suitable for spiritual growth. I attended one church, and all the pastor was preaching and praying for was physical growth, destiny helper, marrying rich husband etc. This is the same with the second church I attended. Personally, I don't worship God to make money. Though God gives money, but money has principles, that's why it's not residing with Christians alone.

Ever since I started reading your contributions here, I knew I was gonna gain a lot. Please any suggestion of a good spiritual church. I yearn for growth.

Good evening. It's great to be here again. I was meant to share some messages with us this week, but satan though it genius to hinder me in some way. My phone got broken last week and that has restricted my internet activities in many ways.

But I won't be backing down though.

The Lord will be opening great doors of opportunities for many who are here. When an opportunity comes waving at you, please seize it.


God will be opening great doors for many here because you've kept your faith in Him. He wants you to know that. He's proud of you.


Also, He wants you to know that many of your enemies will be exposed in this year to your great surprise. Some of us will discover that some of our so-called friends have been against us in many ways. And also, God will be putting your enemies to shame this year.


Please be careful and abstain from sin and corruption. God will bring swift judgement to evil people this year.

The Lord God is with us. Remain blessed.

Hey all. I have made a few comments here over the years with different monikers. This is a "newer" one.
I have many questions about the Bible and God in general that makes it hard for me to accept Christianity as a religion. Yes I was raised in a Christian home and all but as I have grown, I have had many questions. Here are some of them:
A) Is God partial? The story of Jacob and Esau is well known in the Bible. A cheater gets God's blessing while a hard working man gets deceived, hated and condemned by God. Even in pregnancy God has already condemned Esau, even without sin. Now I have discussed this with some scholars and almost all had the same thing: Grace or that God has someone seen the future. I'm always like, "if someone cheats me of my birthright I would be angry as well and might kill him". If Grace is the answer, that means that many are already condemned without sin because of this grace. I know sin sets God and man apart, but here Esau had no sin in the stomach. Even Romans 9:11-13 speaks about this.

B) the pope: This deals with the Catholic Church, in electing popes, Cardinals elect one of their members below 80 years. This men are fallible men but the moment a pope is elected from this group, he becomes infallible. How is that so?
There are so many other questions bit these ones are important to me. Especially the first, There are also passages in the Bible where God seems to be choosy and condemn some for no good cause. Any reasonable answers to this question would be highly appreciated.

PS: I am Anglican by birth but soon will be heading to Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Family already frowning but this is what I want, a move I like. Any opinions? Family and My right. Answers would be appreciated, thanks.

I feel that Esau was wrongly condemned. He was cheated, hated and condemned and yet his descendents were killed off. Too much of an ill faith for one man.
On Jacob, I don't know, he obviously didn't deserve the birthright to me.

I love people that have open mind esp towards spiritual things and want to learn.
Now point of correction sir, God didn't condemn Esau. God didn't praise Jacob. GOD SIMPLY TOLD HER THE OUTCOME OF WHAT THE TWO CHILDREN WILL DO WHEN THEY would HAVE BEEN BORN .

Its like I've watched a film yesterday from the beginning to the end. Then I rewind it again for you to watch. And while we are watching the film I now start telling what what will happen? Dies it mean I control the actors to do what i said? No. I'm merely telling you what will happen based on the fact THAT I KNOW.
Although most times it appears that God is partial. But that isn't true. I'll explain with another illustration.

There are some knowledge of people and events that makes God act in certain ways. Ways that we can't understand. Actually do u realize that when man sinned and God sent Jesus to die for man, it appeared as if God was partial because when the angels were deceived by Lucifer and sinned, God cast them out.
BUT THE WAY OF GOD IS NOT THE WAY OF MAN. GOD ACTS BECOS HE KNOWS ALL, IS IN ALL AND IS OUTSIDE ALL.

2. Concerning the issue of the pope that you raised earlier on.......the catholic church truly in all ramifications isn't practising Christianity... THAT IS EHY THEY ARE CALLED THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. SIMPLE. THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN ENGLISH MEANS THE CATHOLIC CHURCH OF THE ROMANS.

NO MAN IS INFAILABLE OR TOO HOLY THAT OTHERS.
JESUS IS OUR meditator... Not Mary or pope etc
Reverencing statues and keeping the images in one corner of our house isn't biblical.
Baptism of babies isn't biblical.
Commanding men not to marry isn't biblical
HOW EVER THERE ARE STILL CHILDREN OF GOD THERE THAT GOD IS CALLING OUT DAILY. ALSO NO CHURCH (EVEN TRUE BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCHES ARE PERFECT EITHER, THERE ARE STILL SOME PRACTISES NOT biblical THAT THEY perform TOO)
Etc.I don't want to go in that but read the above asking the holy spirit to shed more light.

These angels who sinned, they are kept in eternal chains. Are they the fallen angels or the demons?
The reason I ask is if they are fallen angels and in chains, how could they interact with men and sire kids. And if they are the demons or offsprings of angels and men, how would they afflict men if they are in chains?

That's it bro. However I understand your point. The above scriptures appear as if God favoured one of the twins above the other. But remember my earlier expression. I explained something to u concerning me and you watching a film (that I have watched before) together.
Now listen . I'll reexplain based on that same example. Whilst you and I are watching the film together.......we might see an actor that gives birth to two twins. Beautiful babies. Now because I've watched the film before , I know that one of the twins (let's say the first born, will decide to kill his father and mother when he grows up. Now, I KNOW THIS BECAUSE IVE WATCHED THE FILM TO THE END WHERE I SAW THE BEAUTIFUL TWINS GROW UP INTO ADULTS AND COMMIT DIFFERENT ACTIONS. Now, because of this knowledge I know (WHICH YOU DONT KNOW YET), I now tell you as we are watching the film together that, I HATE THIS ELDER TWIN, I PREFER HIS YOUNGER BROTHER TO HIM. BUT YOU DONT KNOW WHY.
EVENTUALLY, AS THE FILM PROGRESSES SOMEONE COMES INTO THE ROOM WHERE WE ARE WATCHING IT AND YOU TELL THE PERSON THAT I SAID I PREFER THE YOUNGER TWIN TO THE ELDER TWIN. THE PERSON NOW LOOKS AT ME AND SAYS IM PARTIAL BECAUSE ALL HE SEES ARE TWO YOUNG AND INNOCENT BEAUTIFUL BABIES. but what I see is the END FROM THE BEGINNING.

Now get this bro. IM NOT DEFENDING GOD. INFACT NO ONE SHOULD DEFEND GOD. GOD IS......GOD. HE DOES AS HE PLEASES. REGARDLESS OF WHAT HE DOES....EVERYTHING HE DOES IS PERFECT AND JUST.

EVEN EARTHLY KINGS, THAT ARE SOVEREIGN WILL DO AND UNDO AND NO ONE WILL QUESTION THEM. IS IT NOW THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH THAT WILL ACT AND MAN OR SPIRIT WILL QUESTION HIM?

There will be a short spiritual message this sunday. A teaching. I don't even know what it is yet, the Holy Spirit is the Teacher. Let your hearts be prepared.

The times are greatly evil. Stick close to God. Do not grow weary in this race, and if you get tired and feel like giving up, just pray. Pray to God and He will surely answer you.


When you pray to God out of a sincere heart, He will definitely answer you. You only need to recognize when He answers. He might not speak out to you verbally. But He will communicate to you so you can be strengthened in your spirit.


Be strengthened in your spirit. Let nothing weigh you down for God is with you.

Exactly what you said is the problem. God cannot be questioned I know, but there are things in the Bible that gives me chills. After reading that passage again and again, it dawned on me that Esau had no sin and yet condemned. That means that some people are already condemned for no sin of theirs. Romans 20 downwards wrote about the powers of God, unquestionable and all powerful. It gives me chills that some individuals were created not to live their lives to the fullest but be vessels that would be destroyed later on.
The God of the old testament and the God of new testament seems different. Thanks though for the gracious input.

But it hurts me that it appears you didn't really get me.
Like I said before....no one should defend God. He can't also be explained. He can just be known, experienced, etc.

Why don't u ask him directly all this questions. Talk to him like you would your earthly best friend. Tell him all you just told me here, exactly how you feel about him.
He won't be angry. He won't dismiss you.
He understands you more than you understand yourself.
I know because I once talked to him about my confusion about him and life.
Although I admit I was waiting for one loud voice to boom and talk back to me...
But it didn't work that way for me (although it does for others)
But instead, he spoke to me through the best way he knew I, (an introvert) would understand better. Observation and contemplation.

He showed me the way a father held his child lovingly to himself.
He showed me how a scientist spends time creating an invention and rejoiced over it greatly.
He showed me in the way my own father didn't give up on me when I had an extension in school again....
He showed me in the way a mother hen would lay down her life for her chicks..
Lastly, he showed me when he sent his beloved son to die for my sins.
I've look into the eyes on the son directly one day. And when I looked at the son, I saw the love the father had for me.......multiplied by the same love the son had for me.
The son smiled at me...he actually laughed at what I said to me. And when he laughed I knew that it was going to be all right. I knew that despite my sins...he still loved me.
I admit that there are still so many things I don't get...or even understand from God.
But I take solace in the fact that...when I held my god daughter in my arms as she wanted to cross the street, (because a car could come up and hit her)...I DID IT OUT OF LOVE FOR HER, EVEN THOUGH SHE DIDNT UNDERSTAND. EVEN THOUGH SHE CRIED AND WAS CONFUSED.
Life is full of sorrows. Everyone has their share. But one day its going to be all right. I know because. Ive felt what it feels like at the end of it all.
