And this is a public discussion forum. If you have facts to back up your political leanings please, don't be afraid. You may even win some votes for your candidate.
So, state them, rather than point me outside the site.

Why not be bold and state those facts?

You have been shouting igbos should vote for Buhari so that Igbo can become president in 2023.

Tell us which igbo governors from 2009 till date performed better than Donald Duke. Back it up with facts since this is a public discussion forum.

Seriously, you should not have said he is not a brother, no matter how annoying you find his post
You need (br)others to vote for you in a democracy

Ok. bamoski, I apologize. You are my brother, but on this particular issue, we disagree. I will pull up this thread on May 30, 2023 to show you. God bless.

Donald Duke was a great governor. I remember visiting Calabar in his time and the streets were so clean you wouldn't even see a groundnut on the floor. We respect him.

But the issue is: there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2019. In 2023 someone of Igbo extraction will become president. So, Donald Duke should try the senate for now.

Ask yourself this important question: "Did I make any point in my last post on Nairaland Politics Section?"

Very important.

The FG headed by OBJ and Yaradua, and Duke's successor Imoke would be in a better position to explain how they killed Duke's dreams for Tinapa.

Maybe we will start a signature campaign to convince Donald.Duke to run for President, and then support him to become the next Senate President.

Maybe you are right. I have been asking his supporters to take this bold step, but you are the only one bold enough to come out and defend Duke with an argument.

If you are right, that is bad and should be condemned. We want to see Mr Duke in the senate making good laws for our country.

The truth is that it will be very very difficult to defeat Buhari in 2019. So let Mr Duke go to the senate.

I WANT TO BE NIGERIA'S PRESIDENT - DONALD DUKE
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2018/02/senator-melaye-apc-has-failed-nigerians.html

A former Governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke, said on Tuesday he has not dropped his presidential ambition.

Duke stated this in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said the speculations that he has dropped the presidential aspiration were untrue.

The ex-governor said he has not officially declared for the presidency for strategic reasons.

“Sometime ago, I said I will run for the presidency of the country if the opportunity presented itself.

“Yes, my presidential ambition is still intact. I am only waiting for the opportunity to present itself to make the right move,’’ he said.

Asked on what platform he would run, since he was a member of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s inspired “Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM),” he said it was too early to decide on the matter.

He, however, said he was still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I am still a member of the PDP, at the same time a member of the coalition which is not a political party.

“The coalition will definitely align with a political party to achieve its goals, otherwise it will make no sense.

“I can’t say yet the platform on which I will run if the opportunity presents itself. We are still watching and will take the right step at the right time,’’ he added.

On the abductions and killings in some parts of the country, Duke described the situation as disturbing.

He urged the relevant authorities to confront the problem head on for the peace and stability of the nation.

i dont take inconsistent people serious.

yes Donald Duke if from my clan, just as i will always ask have heard Obamas or the Democrats decamping or the Trumps or Republican cross carpeting?
whats my point? what is his politicaal philosophy, not just ambition, what does he believed in as a politician concerning solving nigerianss myriads problems,is it restructuring or the present status quo of Northernisation or fulanisation of Nigeria, just as one pastor VP his acting loyal to help the tyrant actualise the fulani agenda of wiping out the defenceless nigerian christians?

If he is still hiding his political ideologies, not expressing them, followers either accepting or rejecting same, so,how do you measure his capabilities should such opportunity present itself.

was trump hiding behind any shadow(make them no say na wetin i talk things...)from his first attempt, even before parties primaries,he has been harping governance for Americans, for the Americans, then immigrants

Oga DD,no be fine boy matter be to run nigeria or you wan ruin nigeria,if na to ruin,a surest way is not to have political convictions

@ being a PDP member, yes you where, but i knew you had decamped to Labour Party,

Stop deceiving them, you are no more PDP,waiting for secondus to tell me your membership status. You romancing with an equally inconsistent pdp man who had torn his membership card yet will, claiming to have quite politics yet going front and back...so who should i not take serious, you or your 'baba'?

That means there was no structure in place to run the system, it was just the physical structure. And now the blame game continues, wasn't he the one that installed his successor Imoke? Baba we dont need all this blame game, I believe cross river state is still paying for the huge amount of international and local loans taken to build this project, how about the investors? And to thinks that this was then advertised on CNN a international TV. He is a nice man and will surely do better but we need to be very rational.
