No need to return the money. Just allow everything to be. If firm A decide to sack u, then, u will let the manager of firm B to be aware of all that happened. Since u said u built a relationship with the manager of firm B. I think he can find something for u doing even without the consent of firm A. Stay blessed . Never return ur hand earn money to firm A. 2 Likes |

Op, it all depends on what you signed with firm A in the contract of employment as your salary because even if you take this up legally, what you put your signature on is what you are entitled to. However, as it is now, either you return the money or not, firm A will still sack you because they see what you did as betrayal and disloyalty. So, it will pay you to hold on to the money but make sure you inform the Manager of firm B of all events as they happen. Corruption has eaten deep into this country that one may be forced to lose hope! 2 Likes |

I don't think you should return the money, first of all it's rightfully yours, secondly there's no guarantee that firm A will retain you when the contract ends, even if the regain the contract because they aren't happy you reported them to firm B. So enjoy the cash and start reaching for another job. 1 Like |

Who is asking you to return the money, Firm A or manager of Firm A? Was the instruction written or oral? Manager of Firm A told you that the management of Firm A have agreed that you should return, then ask the manager of Firm A to get you a letter from the Management to that effect stating their reason. Be polite when discussing it with him. 5 Likes 1 Share |

OP, just go see your superior/manager at firm A and then tactfully demand some reasons why you should return some part of the money after all they hired you and sent you to firm B. Make the discussion with him informal and ask why you were initially shortchanged maybe that was the reasons the money piled that high if he insist on you returning some of the money, just do so for continuity sake. Money ain't everything, longterm relationship matters. |

Stop talking as if they're doing you a favor. You're working for your employer simply because he/she cannot perform the task alone, and that's the reason why you've been paid for the services you rendered to the company. It is your money, refunding it back to them means that you're supporting mediocre and corruption. Why are we like this in Nigeria! Everything leave him for God to judge him! Why! That's why we are being treated like a slave in by foreigner in our own country. What a shame! We need to wake up from our slumber. (Quote ) ( |

bilulu: You need to talk to manager of firm B asap. Firm A might not retain you even if the contract issues were resolved by June. Your relationship with the management of firm B matters a lot. Talk to somebody, get some mobile contacts and store them, you might need those. Firm A is aware that you ‘know too much’. They might be working to get a replacement to take your place. Someone who would play ball with them. Someone they can cheat and intimidate. If you end up being sacked, the management of firm B would know the reason. .....or return the money but let someone (manager of firm B) know you are doing so because your job security with firm A is tied to it. 1 Like |

Part of sub contracting sometimes entails a part of your salary as a fee for the contracting firm. But this should, sometimes, be in writing. But you just burnt your bridges. Neither firm A nor B will trust you again. They'll most likley fire you at the next instance. And you are here questioning if you should return the money? Loyalty is more important sometimes than skills. Sometimes. |

bilulu: What salary was stated in your signed contract of employment? Was the contract of employment between you and firm A or between you, firm A and firm B? Have firm A been paying the salary specified in the contract you agreed to? Sentiments aside, if you were happy to take up the job at the stated salary regardless of how low you thought it was, then you should carry on as normal. If your contract does not state Company A will pay you the salary agreed with Company B, then I don't see the issue here. If you feel the salary stated in your contract is too low, simply wait till the end of the contract and negotiate a higher salary and ensure it is written in your employment contract. Remember - "you don't always get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate". Be guided. |

A lot of people here are naive and have no experience of life or law. Did this company introduce themselves to you as a charity? I believe they are a BUSINESS You entered an agreement (AGREEMENT) with them VOLUNTARILY and now you are trying to be funny claiming RIGHTS and people telling you the money is RIGHTFULLY yours? How is it yours? You are the one being an ingrate. The normal thing to do when you become aware of this is to NEGOTIATE. We have seen two people doing the same job in the same place for different salaries. It all comes down to NEGOTIATION Here is the reality. YOU WERE PIMPED unsavoury truth! Just like an olosho. You are learning the game . Your services were sold through a broker and no one forced you into that. I am sure thaat company has expenses and they were not set up as a charity as I mentioned earlier. Quit the wounded victim act and welcome to the real world. People go to Benue and buy yam 10 naira and sell the same in Lagos for 100 naira it is called BUSINESS. That company that placed you probably spent money on advertising for you, on checking your credentials, references background etc , what is the pay off for them. If every erson they placed behaved like you how long will they remain in business? I can see there are no businessmen on this thread and that is why we are getting all these childish posts. If it was so easy why did you not place yourself there to start with?? In some industries ith this sort of behaviour the agencies will all blacklist you and you will never work again. Scrub that idea that they UNDERPPAID you. They never underpaid you they paid you what you AGREED 2 Likes 1 Share |

INFOBIZ3: Such a silly remark. If he had waited on God, he wouldn't have gotten his full payment. This God you guys find easy to call at all times, He's not a fool, you know. Once you have the resources at your disposal to better your situation, God expects you to act! Humans are called higher animals for a reason. God implanted in us superior brains for problem solving. That being said, the OP has absolutely no business returning part of the money. No sir! Except he is lilly livered. Firm B has shown it can call the shots on his behalf. They got his back. He can confide in them if need be Rather live on your feet than die on your knees. Religion has really lobotomized a lot of folks. What rubbish infobiz do I expect to get from someone with your mindset? 2 Likes |
