I remember you for this statement. From june of last year you kept on saying "de main de main bear will come next month" repeatedly until the last month of the year. That bear never came all through the year. Pple made money while you kept shouting bear bear.
I am beginning to think that "bear next month" is your strategy, and as a LEGEND here once said, stick to what works for you. So in that light, I wish you luck as the forerunner of THE MAIN FALL.
Bye the way, where is Mr Fxuser.
You guys can be funny grin

Can the rates in tbills and mmf be responsible?

I mean, an investor may see it this way "Why will I buy a stock with DY of 9% and still risk capital depreciation when I can get 15% from mmf while my capital remains intact"
it's why they say bonds(fixed income) and stocks are inversely related.

Inflation is still above MPR. I Expect them to maintain the status quo, with rate and ratios.

Pessimism, Optimism and Realism. Isn't it better to just accept what the market throws up, whether bull or bear? Why chose Optimism or Pessimism over the other?

If the post is continuously 'encouraging' no one will get angry so why get angry if it goes the other way? Just try to follow the market and not pitch yourself against the market (eg being optimistic when the bears surface or pessimistic when the bulls rage)
True talk sir.
Only issue is seeing 12% YTD return in just 12 days of the year, there could have been some of us who figured 365% could happen by Dec 31. Or at all, at all 100%. Now, returns are shrinking and shrinking more. Nobody likes to lose money. If they'll blame the shirt they had on, why won't they blame anyone who talks about it.

There's still hope though. The cycle of yet another crazy bull MUST come. It's a core component of our financial system. Bulls are bound to come.

I remembered there was a gent/lady here who bought Japaul at its peak despite several warnings by the guru here that its fraud and has no fundamentals and the guy was justifying his purchase by, saying, such pull back is necessary after several days of bull runs. We all know that, the rest is history.
Maybe she bought with just 10% of her NSE portfolio, which is only 10% or her stocks portfolio, which is only 10% of her investment portfolio.
So, if Japaul is down 50%, her networth is only down 0.05%.

What you quoted sir, is my freedom of speech.

I am not intolerant, but when most people are complaining of a particular thing, don't you think the 'offender(s)' should soft pedal?

Why keep taunting people who may have bought higher all in the name of freedom of speech? It has become obvious most peeps here are not enjoying those 'pessimistic' tones anymore, why indulge?

If you are driving caution into the minds of traders, enough has been said already!

#MyOpinion
Making money gladdens you so much as to want to talk about. So does seeing your money safe when those of others are kinda evaporating.

No one is yet to understand the cause of the sell pressure. Bad result, good result ooo, sell intensifies. Hence the anger.

I can understand.
Profit taking. You bought 100m units of FIDELITY for 86m. You didn't sell when you could have gotten 430m, not even when it would have been 300m, now that portion of your assets is only worth 230m, what pressure could be more?

That's true... Only Tom Tom seem to be common these days yet it's not in every home. Their most recognised product(Bournvita) seem to be disappearing from homes with no enough improvement and advert to push it back.
Price is right. Promos are endless. I think the major issue with the product is the taste. Most people prefer Milo's. I once sent an email to Mondelez SA, making a suggestion in this regard. I got a reply saying formulation was a proprietary stuff, that's handled by their core R& D team. Imagine Nestle growing revenues from about 98bn in 2011, to about 200bn amidst tough economic environment. They are there with their ever flat 30bn claiming proprietary.

It looks like the Dangote's are going to deliver this year. Up next is DF and DS. Let's see how far we go with them.

Note the fact that the major growth has been from the offshore subsidiaries o. Much of which those brothers don't have. I'm not implying anything o. Just pointing out.

You're scaring the seller more. Better you tell him. Price will reverse, and he'll get to sell for 300m. That'll calm the market.
