If human beings were to accept any religion based on the character of at least 90% of Christian and Muslim clerics in Nigeria today, there might be no single Christian or Muslim in Nigeria!

Before the 'new generation' churches and Muslim organizations emerged in the late 80s/early 90s, religion was almost perfect in the form of practice, character, peace, etc.

It is even more worrisome in Christendom where because of the allure of money, every Tom, Dick, and Harry, shady characters are now "pastors" raping, stealing, sleeping with all kinds of people- infants, children, church members, church members' wives, people seeking 'deliverance', etc.

Isn't it an irony, in fact an oxymoron, that now that we have churches and mosques on VIRTUALLY EVERY street in most parts of Nigeria, all forms of sin- murder, rape, cultism, stealing, armed robbery, assassination, sale of babies/baby factories, wanton killing, arson, etc are getting FAR WORSE
