President Muhammadu Buhari has berated Nigerian youths for being 'uneducated' and 'not ready to work'.

President Buhari, while speaking during a panel discussion at the Commonwealth business forum in Westminster, London, expressed displeasure with youths in Nigeria because they were dependent on revenue from oil to survive.

He said the youths, who make up 60 percent of the population, were waiting to get social amenities free without doing anything.

"And then the economy. We have a very young population and our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. The 60 percent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country and therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare and education free,"

The moderator had asked Buhari to give his final thoughts on the issues discussed. The President said he had fulfilled his campaign promises by improving on the nation’s security and the economy.

Has he gone out to see those in school, making shoes, working in oil companies, getting phd at young ages, painting and fixing pvc ceilings, farming and involving in investment banking and money market, working as doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants, pharmacists, nurses and lots more, those making fruit drinks, small chops, wedding cakes, designing, writing books and organising seminars and trainings, acting, singing, doing graphics, running blogs and repairing laptops, TV SHOW and phones?

Buhari I can go on. Majority of Nigerian youths are not lazy, we just lack the needed incentives, work environment and motivational words.
Buhari is just talking like those parents and elders who continuously nag their children, curse them, complain and ridicule their efforts no matter how small...

Buhari must apologise to Nigerian youths or...

This government is a mistake.
Buhari organized YES-P entrepreneurship competition through bank of industries millions of Nigerians youths applied, till date those that made haven't received 1k of the promised money.

Buhari organised Fadama youth entrepreneurship competition through the ministry of finance, millions of Nigerian youths applied, till date the winners haven't received a kobo.

Buhari said he is continuing with YouWIN program and organized his own YouWIN entrepreneurship competition, having chosen the winners and published there names in newspapers, he told them not to expect a kobo.

This same man is saying Nigerian youths are lazy. If you know the privileges these people enjoyed during their time, you will stone them for saying this.

Greetings Dear NLanders Family

Please I beg to be forgived if this in anyway will bore you or spoil your mood as it's actually not my joy/way but circumstances.
I have a boring life adventure which I wouldn't want to bother anyone to listen, but at this point in my life, I can't help but seek help to solve a tip of it through this medium even risking my reputation cos of what happened to me three days ago.

I was almost thrown out to the rain/cold by my landlord over rent issue (expired couple of months ago) if not God and the intervention of my neighbors, and in my confused state, I had to beg him to give me till this weekend to pay eventhou I don't know how possible that will be unless miracle happens, he reluctantly agreed and left with his boys.
I have tried all I can to see if I can meet up cos its fast approaching, I tried to borrow from few people I know in this world but none can help. Some ill thought cross my mind at this point with hope I can raise it before weekend but I fear it won't end well as I let go.
Am still breathing and full of hope but fear how far I will cope if am eventually thrown out.

I use this medium to plead with the conscience of good humans who could understand what am passing through to help me out with anything to assist me meet up, as I promise never to do this again in my life if I can just save myself this time.

I think d president doesn't wanna mention names, but he is indirectly referring to criminal minded youths waiting for oil money with d claim that they need not work cos d oil flows in their backyard( Niger delta militants) and other youths from area boys in Lagos to ipob minded youths in d east and Fulani kidnappers in d north etc

ME: Sir, you are absolutely correct. One of the lazy Nigerian youths who is enjoying free oil money had an accident with the power bike he bought with free oil money not too long ago, and he was flown abroad for treatment with free oil money, then he hired a jet with free oil money from London to Abuja after his treatment. 

Sir, I completely agree with you that the Nigerian youths are lazy and uneducated and always wanting free oil money. Their role models are in Aso Rock enjoying free oil money without even solving any problem for the country.

Why would anyone disagree with you that the Nigerian youths are uneducated? It's very obvious. That's why they don't even know their rights. They keep defending your ineptitude. 

You enjoyed free education as a young man, but today the youths are deprived of basic education. You were a governor, a petroleum commissioner and ahead of states as a youth, but today, youths are on social media defending your failures.

Honestly, I agree with you that the Nigerian youths are lazy, that's why you ruled Nigeria as a youth and have also grabbed the job as an old man. The youths are too ignorant to even know the implication of your comments. They don't even know you and your fellow old men are doing jobs they should ordinarily be doing.

I don't know why he is even allowed to speak in a business summit... Same jobless youth will still vote him next year.
