hi guys, been a while.... have been busy with Assignments up and down...

now straight to my point... if you have been given admission in ireland and you are sure of coming.. please try to get contacts of people coming as well so that u guys can arrange for accommodation... cos accommodation is not easy here.... on a average of 400EURO per month....
ALSO... learn to be patient.... cos u wont get everything u want immediately... its all about APPOINTMENTS here.

For people coming for Msc..... its all about research assignments and exam..... improve your presentation skills very well.

For Jobs... jobs are very much available here provided your documents are complete and you meet the requirement.

Hi. You guys are doing a terrific job on here. I'm Ibrahim and new on this forum. I'll be applying to U of Limerick for my LLM this year and need to get some facts right. Can I actually pay 6000 euros first as my programme is 12k and actually get the visa? an agent seems to think I must pay all else I'd be denied or my visa grant dragged till I pay. Has anyone actually gotten a visa with 6k payment as on the Irish immigration website ? Thanks

If you pay in full you have a greater chance of having your visa approved.
However, most students have gotten their visas approved with just 6k. It all boils down to you having enough proof of funds and hopefully not more than 1 previous refusal.

Cheers

many thanks for your response. By sufficient funds ,,you mean after payment of the 1st semester tuition of 6k I should have about how much left? living cost of about 10k (4.5m)?

Hello everyone,

Please any lady heading to National College of Ireland in September should connect so that we can plan together.

I have gotten admission and I am on the verge of paying the tuition fee now.

I got partial scholarship from NCI and would advice those that made 2.1 in their first degree to give the school a trial.

Hello Vivian,

Congrats on your admission to NCI. What's the value(amount) of the partial scholarship?

Hello everyone, I will like to know the address to put in the sponsorship letter and also the letter of application that will be included in the Irish visa application. Plus is it advisable to state on the application later that one has been denied twice before on 2 different countries.

Hello ICaSNg, is it still necessary for an applicant to submit his statement of account even after he has included his sponsor's acct?

Thanks

It's not only advisable but neccesary to state it , hence visa will be denied.

If and When using a sponsor for academics , only the sponsor's proof of funds is required.

If for tourist visa , both is required.

Cheers

Hello Ireland hopefuls,

Nice thread on Ireland.

Please, I applied for a Funded PhD position in National University of Ireland, Galway sometimes in February 2018. I forwarded my applications directly to the supervisor in charge as instructed on the advert.

On opening the Postgraduate Application Centre (PAC) website for the school 2 days ago, I had been given an offer as was displayed on my application status and was given till 15th May to accept. I have accepted and my acceptance have been acknowledged.

However, I do not know if the offer comes with the funding since there was no explicit explanation.

I was just thinking if anyone has similar experience even if it's on MSc level.

That was the PhD advert as below.

https://www.findaphd.com/search/projectdetails.aspx?PJID=94575

Thanks in advance for your response.

If you have accepted the offer as claimed, I believe conditions of the offer would be stated in the mail sent to you. Also, advertised PhD positions are towards specific projects and usually are paid - ie, you don't pay tuition and you get stipend montly.

If you not clear about the offer, endeavor to reach your proposed supervisor.

Thanks.

Please is anybody processing or intending to process admission for a masters degree in any school in dublin for the september 2018 session?
Almost all questions have already been answered or discussed on here. However, i think knowing a person or two prior to travelling would go a long way in helping us settle. Hence, i would like us to recognise each other, develop a sort of open communication channel, rub minds and maybe go through the transition process together.
