President Buhari is just too blunt....

Now let's look at these established findings;

1) Do you know that over 65 million youths are illiterates in Nigeria – UNESCO, 2017

2) Nigeria also leads in the world's uneducated children - Newsweek, 2017

Nigeria has 'largest number of children out-of-school' in the world - BBC, 2017

Fact check;
You can hate Buhari, but the truth is that he stated the obvious and again, what is already known around the world. You should understand by now that PMB is not like any typical politician and because of that, he says things the way they are. He is just honest to a fault. It may not be diplomatically okay considering the environment of such communication
no one is denying this figures but will you in good conscience say this guys are lazy and unwilling to work? how many schools did buhari build in this country? this makes me wonder what GADAFI OF LIBYA WOULD HAVE SAID ABOUT HIS PEOPLE. lastly being educated deos not only mean going to school. capenters, tailers, mechanics etc all had to receive education before doing what they do. is it not this same nigeria that we keep shouting that certificates are useless that people should go and learn a skill. is it this same people who struggle day and night to feed themselves that are lazy and waiting for free stuffs?

Nigerian youths are really lazy mentally and physically if Buhari's quoted statement can be interpreted as "Nigerian youths are lazy".

Oh really how cool,so we are only paying taxes for him to travel abroad and call us demeaning names, unfortunately your opinion is only a village market square opinion

Here is what the UN says....

One of the first references to adequate housing can be found in the United Nations
Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948. Article 25 (1) of The Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, 1948, states, “Everyone has the right to a standard of
living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including
food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services..” (UN, 1949).
Though there was no use of the specific term „adequate housing‟, but in spirit
adequate housing, safe and adequate water for drinking and other domestic uses, and
proper sanitation facilities were considered important elements of the right to
adequate standard of living. The International Covenant on Economic, Social and
Cultural Rights (ICESCR), 1966, which is the monitoring body for the
implementation of economic, social and cultural rights, recognises adequate housing
as part of the right to an adequate standard of living. The Committee in its Article
11.1 says, “The right of everyone to an adequate standard of living for himself and his
family, including adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous
improvement of living conditions” (UN 2009, p. 11).
Provision of safe and sufficient water and sanitation is an important and integral part
of adequate housing. In 2002, the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social
and Cultural Rights adopted its General Comment No. 15 on the right to water. The
Committee underlined that the right to water was part of the right to an adequate
standard of living, as were the rights to adequate food, housing and clothing (UN
2010, p. 4). Right to water and sanitation are also recognised independently as basic
human rights. The United Nations General Assembly on 28th July 2010 adopted a
resolution recognising the human right to water and sanitation.

Next time before u quote me remember there is something between your ears, kindly make use of it.
The government is meant to make policies on the provision of most of this things.
Once it turns to a revenue generating venture, it should be concessed.
Government maintaining most of this infrastructure is why things don't work down here.

00.29 to 1.06 was talking about a lot of people not being to school and still having expectations that because they country is an oil producing nation, a lot of things should be free.
If you say the stage was wrong I agree, if you say the speech was wrong I disagree.

If i say you behave like a fool i hope you won't take offence as i called you no fool ? Maybe you should apply to replace Adesina since you want to do more than him in his job. He is arguing bout " a lot" and "all" while you are looking for "lazy" in a statement that said a lot love to sit around and do nothing while expecting everything from the government.

Again, i hope if i say you behave like a fool (just like i am saying it now) trying to defend incompetence, you won't get offended as i didn't call you a fool ? I wish you just reply with yes so that i can tell you that you are actually behaving like a fool and would need to trace your steps back.

The problem is you guys equate a lot to half and above.

If in 40 million, 500,000 is a problem, my brother that is a lot.

Why do u think a lot must be less than half and not more? If he meant less than a lot, he'd have said 'a few' or even 'some', not 'a lot'.

If that laziness is not a present affliction in ur life, you would see that the issue is not so much the quantity but the intent of disparaging even one Nigerian youth when it wasn't called for. If u are seeking to woo investors will u not play up ur advantages whilst downplaying ur disadvantages? Would u deliberately highlight ur negatives in the name of being truthful when u weren't even asked that?

Do you even know the question he was asked before he spewed out such sacrilege?

Thank God you say the stage is the problem, other people are outrightly twisting his word.
keep fooling yourself. We all have seen how he has been saying things the way they are when he labelled Fulani genocide in Benue state, as farmers/herdsmen clash and completely turned his back on Benue state for them to perish in the hands of terrorist Fulani herdsmen. The same way he labelled Biafra agitators a terrorist organisation against popular belief. Mr man stop disturbing us with your baseless argument. We have made up our mind on what to do in 2019 election.

And you can understand that making such statement hasn't just angered the youth but has also created in the minds of foreign investors the idea that Nigerians are not eager to work so they better seek another place where the people are work ready and they'd get more out of their investments. Right? Regardless of the figure Mr. Buhari might be refering to when he said alot.

A lot of people still don't know that buhari is Nigeria's chief marketer and should be mindful of whatever comes out from his mouth (no chance for mistake)...

For those wey still dey find where hin tok say naija youths be illiterates and also very lazy make una see the followings:

1. Not been in school- It means a lot of(plenty ) youths are illiterates.

2) Sit around waiting for free healthcare or whatever- It means youths are so lazy dat they can't even afford to pay for panadol when they have headache.

The problem should be are they making the right policies and seeing it actualized.

It is high time, the government hands off a lot of things.
We can see what happened to telecoms industry when the private sector took over, same with courier services and private universities.
U were defending the indefensible. First of all, Buhari is an illiterate. He has been feeding fat on Nigeria's wealth right from his military days, while having not contributed to youth development. People say Atiku is corrupt, but he's a philanthropist, wealth creator and he has empowered the youths tremendously.

He promised jobs for the youths, but Npower has ceased to exist, just within 2 yrs of its existence. In fact, Buhari is corrupt and lazy. He's morally depraved.
