I think is high time Benue indigenes should ponder and ask where they have got it wrong.
Something is telling me that all these misfortunes happening to them are karma's from their crime against Biafrans during the war.
The gods are angry with Benue.. Innocent blood they help Nigerian army and Fulani's to slaughter have been crying for vengeance.
I pity them.. God have metcy

The Nigerian army don't take very kindly to one of their own getting attacked. One you hit kill one of theirs they seem to loose their mind and just adopt a scorched earth tactic

It's a d.a.m.n pity that the Nigerian Army didn't exercise the same "scorched earth tactics" when their members were ambushed ( & slaughtered) by boko haramists on myriad occasions.

Geez! It's highly astonishing how you guys cogitate! So, in case the people of the Benue basin decides to vote for Buhari again (very unlikely), you think that's enough ground for the people living there (inc. innocent kids and vunerable adults ought to be wiped out of the face of the earth.

If someone was to wish the same on your folks, am sure you will be the first to scream "igbophobic" o.

The level of hatred you guys abhor for the rest of your fellow countrymen is surely unhealthy and counter-productive.

see what buhari had reduce our soldiers too under Gej govt, at least we experience how soldiers that runaway from warfronts and those that disobey their commander face countless of mutiny before the collective cries of international and Nigeria under ordinary civilian

but as expected Nigeria army to be under a disciplinarian military man is sth that left me under a shock. NA turned tribalist, racist, injustice, more lawlessness, Aid of genocide for Fulani over other Nigerians.

to think the soldiers took that action without the awareness of their superior is a big lies. the dumb NA pro in Makurdi ought to have shut up and not saying anything instead of saying thrash

I didn't want to comment but was provoked by this senseless comment that resembles that of a half baked educated illiterate with little power of comprehension - indeed an intellectually lazy bigot.

Can you imagine; how could he blame the president (who is currently out of the country) for this random out of the ordinary wanton action of a small military unit when in fact there exists several levels of decision making along the chain of command between them.

How imbecilic and laughable was his attempt at reminiscing and indeed praising the cowardice of the military under GEJ - he also forgot that it was under GEJ that the military got it's worst international condemnation for human rights violation.

Let us not forget that even though there had been killings of the military and other law enforcement agents under this president; but never had he for once ordered any retaliatory action against such community - e.g. as we witnessed with the sacking of Odi (in Niger Delta) and Zaki Biam (Benue) under OBJ and (same wailing) Gen. T Y Danjuma who was then the defence minister.

PMB may not be perfect, he definitely has his share of mistakes; but certainly does not deserve this level of blind misguided hatred - least of all from the very youths he is trying to retrieve their stolen past, present and future from the same gang of looters unfortunately now inciting them against him, through sponsored subtle media manipulation - I really pity our gullible youths for failing to see beyond the ongoing propaganda.

Haba. This is grossly unacceptable.

The death of a soldier is painful and regrettable But why burn down a while community instead of fishing out the culprit(s)?
How is this different from the jungle justice we love to condemn?

Benue People are already going through hell in the hand of the terrorist herdsmen. The least they should get from the army is succor and not further torment.

I'm saddened by this unfortunate news. Nigeria shouldn't be a jungle where anything goes.
My bro. it's unbelievable! I was waiting to hear they were herdsmen disguised in uniform, only for the Nigerian army to say this....hmm mm!

Imagine the reason the army is giving for attacking people who are probably innocent of the killing of the soldier yet we claim we have a government that is meant to protect them. Yet this same ragtag army has not been able to deal with boko boys or the Fulani killers that have ran out of control. Sadly no one will be sacked or prosecuted life goes on till we will be regaled by another round of killing by this same senseless army of killers.
This simply confirms what the villagers have been saying that the army colludes with these soulless militia men that have been terrorising them.

The president is out on international duty, among them to secure several billion dollar investment into the country but all your intellectually lazy brain could think of is how to find an excuse to insult and hate him for every unfortunate thing that happens in the country - including the reported reprisal torching of a Benue community; which he certainly couldn't have ordered.
It would appear that your limited brain lacks the capacity accommodate the notion that soldiers are indeed not programmed robots incapable of acting on their own accord without orders of their superiors.

What is even more baffling is the non condemnation of community for the cold blooded killing of this soldier, even if were a case of mistaken identity as alleged.

The community seems to have a penchant for trouble making; because not only did they kill one among those sent to protect them; they had also succeeded in sacking the police out due to clashes between them and local the okada bikers.

I imagine that this could also be how some of the Benue communities had been killing the Fulanis quietly and therefore resulting in the reprisals against them; while having the media on their side to always project them as the innocent victims.

Finally, pls brush up your writing skills; because you write like a motor park tout - abi you no go school?

you're the compound fo ol here for not knowing the military had been lawless before he left with his backing which ty danjuma louded out

would the military cease to be lawless when they know the C-in-C aid the backing of Fulani herdsmen. if your brain is not filled up with indomie, you should know the continuity of Fulani killings in Benue is a big shame to our military. if we have a proactive president who's not an ethnicity chauvinist this killing in Benue and taraba shouldn't have escalated to this level under his nose

which country military would have the guts to take law in to their hand without thinking of the consequence from the C-in-C, they knew quite alright that buhari won't castigate them because they are used to the lawlessness. so his presence or absence in his govt has no justification that he's not the one that reduce our military to this childish behaviour

Not only is your write up reflective of your half baked education but you clearly lack intellect too and no doubt among the brain washed brigade incapable of independent thought as a result of Lollapalooza Tendency Effect - a victim of bad social media propaganda.

You made wild allegations against the president for complicity in the extrajudicial killings by soldiers and the herdsmen without slightest of evidence - and you expect me or anyone to take you seriously?
